Okay so in this chapter I'm going to change the ending a little bit. (Sorry if characters seem a bit OOC but I do try to keep them as close to character as possible) You know where they go to gothi and get astrid's sight back? Yeah? Okay. So it takes place then. Now..... INTO THE GREAT BEYOND!

Hiccups P.O.V.
"There's gothi's hut. Let's go bud. Hold on Astrid." Astrid wrapped here arms around me as toothless started to descend.

A few minutes later and we land. I helped Astrid off of toothless then I guided her into gothi's hut. When we reached the door gothi opened it and led us to where she does her work. Gobber was already there waiting for us.

"Hey hiccup, Astrid." Gobber said as gothi took over of leading Astrid and sat her down on a chair.

I stood there talking quietly to gobber explaining how exactly Astrid got blind. I stoped when gothi came up to Astrid and wiped some green paste on her eyes then proceeded to wrapped her eyes. Once she was done she grabbed her staff and scribbled something in the dirt.

"She says that we have to wait awhile for it to set in." Gobber translated.
"Alright so until then how about one of your stories, gobber."

"I'm glad you asked hiccup. Now when I was a wee little lad back when we were still at war against the dragons.."

I heard Astrid groan softly and couldn't help but chuckle quietly to myself.

Gothi grabbed the end of the cloth that was wrapped around astrid's eyes and started to unravel it. Soon she had taken it of and Astrid blinked her eyes a few time.

Astrid's P.O.V.
I could feel gothi unwrapping the cloth around my eyes. 'I hope this worked. I can't wait to see things again. Some things more than others.' I felt the wrap come off my face. I slowly opened my eyes and blinked a little. Nothing. Everything is still dark.

"Astrid?" I could hear the concern in hiccups voice.

"Nothing. I still can't see hiccup!"

I could hear gothi write something. Then I hear Gobber. "She says that if the paste doesn't work right away then it should in a few hours or a few yanks. Wait yanks?" Thunk! "Ouch sorry days. I mean days."

"So I'm stuck like this for a while?" I asked a little upset.

More scribbling sounds.

"Gothi says that your blindness is temporary and it will come back. It's just a matter of time. The paste should help speed it up." Gobber recited. More scratching noises. "She wants you to take some paste home and put some on your wall before you go to bed." thunk "OUCH!! Sorry I meant you eyes not wall sheesh woman..." THUNK!! "OUCH! Okay okay I'm sorry.
I could hear hiccup stifle a laugh so I'm assuming gober got whacked over the head by gothi.

"Thank you gothi for the paste. We should be heading back to the edge now bye." Hiccup said while grabbing my arm and leading me out of gothi's hut.

"Bye gothi and thank you!" I shouted as Hiccup helped me mount toothless. As soon as I was on Hiccup climbed on in the front and we took off the air blowing post my hair.

~~time skip brought on by toothless~~

"Land by the club house buddy. That's where everyone should be." A few moments later there was a light this signaling that we were back at the edge.

"You're back! How'd it go? Did gothi heal your sight?" I heard panting and heavy footstep as fishlegs made his way over to us.

"Gothi gave me a paste that should help my sight come back. Though she said it could take anywhere from a day to a week." I explained to him. "Is there any cod cooked I'm hungry" I continued walking off to the direction I thought was the club house door.

"Hey Astrid your going the wrong way" Hiccup said as he grabbed my hand and led me in the opposite direction chuckling.  When we walked in I explained everything that I told fishlegs to the rest of the gang while eating. The whole time the twins kept on playing around with me and while a few wee funny a few left them with some bruises.

"Well gang we should go to bed we have a day full of exploring to do tomorrow. Come on Astrid I'll take you to your hut." Hiccup said once again grabbing my arm and leading me. 

It was silent for a while until I decided to break the silence, "thanks for helping me get around Hiccup."

"It's no problem Astrid you would do the same for me if our places were switched."

"Yeah you're right. Do you have the paste?" I asked in response.

I heard a little shuffling and then felt a clay bottle pressed into my hand. "There you go I had it in my satchel. Where here by the way. I'll take you to your bed then let you get some rest."
As he said that I could hear my door opening and he continued to lead me inside.

"Your bed is a few step in front of you. I'll be off. Night Astrid." I heard him start to walk away so I quickly replied "thanks Hiccup and goodnight!" 

I took a few cautious steps and reached my bed. I smeared the paste on my eyes then laid down falling to sleep as soon as my head hit the bed.

"Hey Astrid wake up breakfast is ready..." I groggily opened my eyes at hearing hiccups voice. As I blinked the sleep away I looked up to see green eyes.

"Hey Hiccup morn...." I froze mid word.

"Astrid you okay?" Hiccup said his eyes filled with concern.

"Your eyes. I can see you eyes." I said slowly then proceeded to look around the room.

"Hiccup I can see! I can see!" I jumped out of bed and engulfed him in a hug.

"That's great Astrid!" Hiccup replied hugging me back.  I let go of the hug and started to drag Hiccup out of my hut.

"Let's go eat and tell the others!" I shouted laughing full of happiness that I could see again.

"I'm coming!" Hiccup responded laughing as well as we made our way to the club house.

How was it good bad?  Sorry for taking forever to finish this. I just didn't know how to finish this till Sunday. Hope you liked it! Till next time 😊
