I couldn't help but laugh, both out of fear, and excitement. Then out of pain, I swear if Akuma squeezed any tighter, I'd loose blood flow to my brain.

What were we doing? Oh yeah, I kinda forgot to mention it didn't I? Well...after I had goofed up in running away, I needed a plan to get us to Duel Club close to on time. So I had the thought to do this...

Let's ride Will.

I told him about one of the fastest mythical creatures back in the Illusion Isles, known as a bandersnatch. It's sort of a cross between a bear, and a really large cat. He had told us that he had never seen one, and I was forced to summon one. It was great though, after seeing my summons, he shapeshifted into an exact copy, except with black spots on brown fur.

I laughed and jumped on his back, taking two fistfuls of the fur and Akuma got on, wrapping her arms around my waist. And then we were off. I could feel the wind caused by Will's speed rushing through my hair, and I could also feel Akuma's constrictor grip causing my organs to fail.

After about three minutes of non stop running, we finally burst into the courtyard, barely missing a couple students as William tried to slow down. The sudden stop that resulted flung both me and Akuma off of his back, both of us laughing our heads off.

Will offered each of us a hand, which we gladly took, all of us were extremely happy in only being a minute late, until we heard someone clearing their throat behind us. The smiles were instantly wiped off of our faces and we turned slowly, looking at the worst professor at the Priory.

Professor Epans glared at us, with a look that could curdle milk. He cleared his throat again before speaking.

"Glad you three could join us...since you are so glad and joyful in being late, why don't you have a seat Ms. Kuroyuki, while Mr. Beleren and Mr. Thorskard be the first volunteers against the reigning champions of the Duel Club, Zara and Zenin." He sneered at us, while me and William made our way to Mrs. Kojiro, the professor setting up the duel.

She used her own magic to set up a link between our subconscious minds to a large monitor that had been set up for the occasion. And then connected our thoughts to a series of remotes and headphones that were being handed to all the watching students. She had explained that we would be put to sleep. And our dreamscapes would be linked together, within the link, we still retain our magic, and would have to fight without any harm to our bodies. Our fight would be projected on the screens, and our thoughts to the remotes and headphones. People could watch what was going on and listen to what we were thinking....hopefully they screen certain thoughts....my mind tends to wander.

She had explained we'd be put to sleep, and fight it out, either to dream death, or till we gave in.

"Any questions?" Mrs. Kojiro asked. Smiling at us at an attempt to ease our conscience.

I raised my hand. "Mrs. Kojiro? I have a question...is this going to hur~"

"Ok! Good luck and have fun!" She waved her hands at us, causing all four of us to collapse into a deep slumber.

When I woke up, I quickly stood up, alert. I turned around and saw we were in a circular arena, that was good, no where to run, no where to hide. I quickly got William up, and looked around for Zara or Zenin, to no avail. The hairs on the back of my head were on end, and I couldn't help but feel queasy.

When I turned to Will, he was in the form of an electric blue dragon, he motioned for me to get on. Good idea, an aerial view would allow us to see the whole stadium. I got on his back, grabbing two large plates just behind his ears as he rose up, giving us a whole view of the arena floor. I finally saw them, those snakes were hiding in the shadow of one of the many arches that were built into the arena. I started channelling my magic.

"Summon: Duel Blasting Wands." I said, two wands materializing in my hands. The wands themselves weren't much, a simple and sleek dark brown ebony stick with a topaz attached to the end. The topazes were cut to look like explosions. I smirked and twirled the wands between my fingers.

Zara and Zenin jumped from their hiding places, sending out both lightning and strings at me and Will. I yanked on his ear plating, managing in turning him so that we just barely dodged both strings and lightning. I looked over the side to see another volley heading our way.

I pointed the wands towards the onslaught, firing two sets of magic from them, the first set met their attack head on, exploding on impact and nullifying both attacks. The second set landed between them, forcing the two apart.

Seeing our opportunity, I laughed like a maniac, and jumped off of Dragon William, free falling towards Zenin, laughing the whole time. I could see the look on everyone who was watching's faces, seeing me free fall from at least 1,000 feet must've looked like I was insane, and from the wide eyed look on Zenin's face, he probably thought that I was too.

I was still laughing like crazy, and about twenty feet away from the ground I fired a third volley of magic at the ground, riding the resulting shockwave as a cushion to shield my fall. I pointed the wands at Zenin, before I realized that they wouldn't fire. It was stupid, I forgot that Blasting Wands only have three charges before they are useless. I chucked them at Zenin only for him to knock them aside with his strings.

The next thing I knew, I was forced to the ground, but not by strings, by solid gold chains. They flew towards me faster than I could react. Four wrapped around my wrists and ankles while a fifth one slammed into my chest and shoved me to the floor.

I tried to struggle, but they only tightened and wouldn't budge. I was at a loss for words, gold shouldn't be this heavy. I managed to move my head and got a closer look at the chains. Realization hit my like a truck, these chains were enchanted, I could see the purple runes glowing along the chain. That was how the strings held us down from earlier, they were also enchanted, but the runes were too tiny for someone to see.

I struggled more, but the chains kept tightening, my struggle was brought to a stop when I heard Zenin chuckling above me. His laugh was not much, but I felt so much malice, so much hatred, it sent shivers down my spine. He laughed more at that, before I felt his puffs of breath on the shell of my ear.

"If you keep struggling, my chains will just get tighter, it will cut off blood flow...we'd have to amputate...actually, keep struggling!" He laughed in my ear, causing me to cringe.

"I thought you only used strings you bastard." I spat at him. He crawled into my view, the fifth chain wrapping around my neck and tightening.

"Heh...I can use anything that can be used to bind. It's called restriction magic. So I can use string, yarn, twine, chains. and I always get what I want." He spoke darkly, I didn't like the sound of it.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean if you know what's good for you, you'll stay out of my way. Akuma is meant to be with me, that stupid Chinese boy doesn't deserve her." He had this odd sparkle in his eyes, this kid wasn't only ugly to the max, he was delusional as hell.

"I wouldn't let you even get near Akuma." I glared at him, the chains never stopped getting tighter, and I could feel my hands and feet getting number while my vision started to go black.

"Ah ah ah, be careful Prince Boy, Akuma is mine...I know what you fear, and if you don't stay out of my way well. Let's just say that we wouldn't want those pretty tails of Aiko's getting hurt...would we?" He smirked, thinking he'd won.

And that's when I snapped. He threatened to hurt people I cared about, I wouldn't stand for that.

"Emotion Magic: Instill Fear!" I screamed at him, and his eyes widened to the size of dinner plates as I flooded his mind with images of me killing him with everything he fears. The chains melted away and I sprang up, kicking him against the arena wall. My once yellow fluctuating eyes were now shifting reds and blacks in anger.

"Channel Summons: Hellish Being!" I shouted, a shaft of black light encasing me. My once shining golden hair was turned an ashen gray. Fire emanated from my being, my eyes, once kind, were now hollow and cold. I laughed, but it was not a carefree one, this one was sadistic, I wasn't letting Zenin leave without him learning a lesson.

"Summon: The Twin Scythes of Nagata!" Two small hand held scythes materialized in my hands, connected by a transparent, soul-esque chain, their edges glistening with green poison.

I started stalking towards him, a sinister grin on my face, allowing Zenin to see that all my teeth were sharpened into fangs.

In a meager defense, he send out chains that were either razor sharp, or had cuffs on the ends. The cuffed ones hit me first, pinning me down while the razor ones came after, they weren't large, but they flew at me with so much speed that they pierced my body thru and thru. Several went into my legs and arms, others went for my stomach, more went thru my chest, going straight into my lungs and heart, puncturing both. The worst one was the single one that hit me between the eyes, going straight through my skull.

I collapsed then, lying on the floor. My vision was going white. I had failed, Zenin would hurt everyone, Akuma, Aiko, I don't even want to know what he would do to Nosmas. That's when I heard him laughing, that's stupid laugh of his, he thought he won. Over my cold, dead, body!

I started laughing, softly at first, then loudly, cutting him off, I slowly stood up, picking up the scythes. He stared at me, unable to form words.

"Y-You sh-should be dead!" He stammered.

"Dead? DEAD?! HA! Don't make me laugh! You think it's easy to kill Hell Aramis? I'm not dying till I teach you your lesson!" The fire around me pulsed white, melting the chains as I started limping towards him.

"One thing you should know about me Zenin...I may be a pushover, I may be naïve, if someone comes after me I let them. But if you ever go near any of my friends and lay one finger on them in arm. I will hunt you down and gut you like a fish. Tell this to your friends. You want to go after Aiko, or Akuma, or anyone I care for? Just try it, you'll have me to deal with. AND I'LL MAKE YOU PAY!" I screamed at him, raking both of the scythes down his front, starting from the shoulders, and going all the way down to his waist.

I don't know why, and I never could explain it, but hearing his tortured screams made me feel great. That little runt deserved it. And I knew how I could make the pain last.

"Summon: Nox, the Slumbering Star." I whispered, an iridescent ball of light appearing in my hand.

"You know what this'll do? I put this in you, you'll live forever in an eternal sleep, but you'll be aware of the pain you feel, and trust me, Nagata's Poison hurts. This is what you'll live with forever you bastard." I plunge the ball into his chest, picking up and throwing him down, walking away and leaving him there like a broken toy.

I turned to see Zara and William oblivious to what had happened, her lightning bounced off of his scales. Nice move Will, a lightning drake to counteract her magic. I felt the incessant tug of unconsciousness pulling at my body, realizing I lost probably over half my blood, and all of my major organs were punctured, I laughed softly. Summoning one more Nox, I flung it into Zara's back, before letting my consciousness go, collapsing to the ground.

So this is what death felt like? It was kind of, peaceful...I liked it...until I started shaking. Wait, what was that sound?

"Aramis! Aramis! Wake up!"

It sounded like Aiko and Akuma, no, that was impossible. Did Zenin get to them!? And what was that blinding light?

I opened my eyes to see Aiko hovering over me, with Akuma standing next to my right shoulder, worry etched into their faces. I looked down, before shutting my eyes, thinking to myself as a blush raged across my face

'I am not a pervert, I am not a pervert, what I just saw was the byproduct of an accident.'

"God are you ok Aramis!? You had me so worried!" Aiko shouted at me, pulling me up and then into a hug. Come on! She isn't helping here!

"I think you freaked out everyone who was watching Aramis, they'll think twice before taking advantage of any of us ever again." Nosmas said, Akuma nodding as she gripped his arm.

"Come on, let's get you back to the common room." Aiko said sternly, escorting me towards the Stone Pegasus. Heh, she was holding my hand~ NO ARAMIS! NO WEIRD THOUGHTS!

( ̄▽ ̄)( ̄▽ ̄)( ̄▽ ̄)( ̄▽ ̄)( ̄▽ ̄)( ̄▽ ̄)( ̄▽ ̄)( ̄▽ ̄)( ̄▽ ̄)( ̄▽ ̄)

We were about halfway to the Pegasus, Aiko on point with me, Akuma, Nosmas, William, and Alexandra following her. When the devil himself stepped out of the shadows.

We all groaned as we saw Zenin blocking our path.

"Out of our way scumbag" Aiko growled, her tails huddling around me protectively, they were so soft~

"Well hello there, you must be Aiko, you know, Akuma's good looking and all but...you'd do in a pinch." That dude was hitting on my girl! Not that we were dating....ugh, I guess he had the right to flirt with her, she was single after all.

Aiko suddenly smiled charmingly, her hand moving to his cheek, man did that make my blood boil.

"Aww thank you!" She giggled and winked at him, before her hand went from his cheek to his neck, where she pinched him, causing him to fall to the floor, unconscious. "But I'm nobody's second choice." She glared at him.

"Wha~" All of us stared at Aiko.

"What? I know where certain nerves are, he'll be fine in about an hour." She smiled, before turning around to the sound of slow clapping.

"Good job, I never did like the little grunt." It was that weird Anti-me, I could feel it. And I was right. He too stepped out of the shadows, still clapping.

"Ah! It's Hell Aramis!" Nosmas shouted, and him, William, and I stepped in front of the girls, ready to protect them.

"Eh? Hell Aramis? Oh...no, you have me mistaken, my name is Archaea, I'm not as powerful as your 'hell Aramis' but I am the opposite of your Aramis, personality wise at least. And magic wise." He spoke oddly calmly for someone who we thought was going to hurt us.

"Stay away from us!" William yelled, turning into a snow leopard and charging Archaea.

"Down kitty." He said, waving his hand in front of Will, causing him to collapse, knocked out and back to his human self. I turned to Nosmas, the dude was mega smart, and by the way his eyes were shifting, I could tell he was using his magic evaluate Archaea.

"Ah ah ah, no trying to find a weakness Mr. Genius." He waved his hand and the same thing happened to Nosmas, Akuma barely managing to catch him as he fell. Aiko pushed me back and stood in front of me, her tails wrapping around me again.

"Aww, isn't that cute, trying to protect your boyfriend?" Archaea smirked at us.

"He's not my boyfriend." She glared at him.

"Yeah, we aren't dating!" I shouted from within her tail cocoon.

"Listen well. No matter how strong, or how smart you guys become, you'll never be able to beat me, so don't cross my path or piss me off, ok?" He smiled at us, before disappearing in a black mist.

"What the hell just happened?" Alex asked while trying to wake William up.

"I think we just made ourselves an enemy." I said gravely. "You guys sure you want to do this? Being my friend that is."

They all looked at me, with the exception of Nosmas and William.

"Are you stupid? Of course you Baka." Akuma punched me in the shoulder, all of us laughing as we made our way back to the common room.

Life at M.A.M.P may have just gotten more interesting....oh lord have mercy.
