I was surprised, the girls were having to drag ME out of the door this time.

It was actually just the girls waiting for me while Autumn tried to shoot me out of the air with her word magic. After about five minutes she nailed me with the word clip, cutting the flight feather's in my wings and causing me to plummet down to the floor. I was forced to get rid of my wings and allow them to take me down.

We told the guys that we'd meet them in the garden, which in hindsight, wasn't a good idea. The garden was halfway across campus from the dorms, but I was glad for the extra time. It gave me time to think.

I couldn't tell what would happen. I didn't dance very well, and I'm terribly awkward. I was worried that Will would take one look at me and decide that I wasn't worth it.

We told the guys that we'd meet them at the gardens, which in hindsight, was both a good and bad idea. On one hand, I was glad for the extra time. On the other, to get to the Great Hall for the dance we had to go past Xerath House, which none of us were looking forward to.

So I dawdled behind everyone, nervously picking and smoothing out my dress. We reached the gardens in ten minutes, where I told everyone I'd wait and see if any Xerath students came to the gardens. Autumn, Luxanne, and Jacqueline offered to stay behind with me, which I thanked them for. I finally got a good look at them for a while. We all felt kinda bad, Aramis especially, because we didn't spend much time with them, so he said we had to make up for it at the dance.

Lux had a light blue dress that went to her knees, it was fairly simple. She had tied a black bow around the waist, and was wearing silver heels, which she said Jackie forced her to wear so they all had an element of 'sparkle.' Autumn had worn a bubblegum pink dress that seem to explode from the waist, all I could picture was that, if she had a wand, she could be Glinda from the Wizard of Oz. She had a set of gold braces around her wrists, and wore black flats. Jackie was probably the most 'glitterfied,' she had a black, ankle length dress covered in sparkles, rhinestones, and glitter. She had a bronze headband, and rainbow flats.

I heard everyone coming back, so on instinct, I tried to fly up. After about three feet, something stopped me, I looked down and saw Autumn holding the word Rope, which was tied to the end of my leg. She gave it to lux, who turned into a Boxer, and proceeded to yank me down.

That's when we saw the boys, and I think I almost passed out. Will came up to me and put his arm around my shoulders.

"Hey you, uhh.....you look great." He said. I smiled and nodded, looking at the white suit.

"You too." I giggled, giving him a hug as we started for the Great Hall.

When we got there, Jacqueline and Aramis said they were signing up for some raffle, where two people would be able to sing for the whole academy. We wished them luck as they headed off. That left the rest of us alone, and we all didn't know just what to do.

Eventually, Lux said she could smell candy, and she and Autumn went off to get food. So that left the two couples, and Aiko, who kinda looked bored. She said she was going to go find Aramis, and left as well.

William took my hand in his and gave it a gentle squeeze. "Don't worry." He told me. "Let's just have some...fun, ok?"

I smiled back at him and we went off to dance.
