Revealing

Don't play the song until, ж, shows up!!

As I was writing this, I got really nervous and excited like I was the one actually doing what peter is about to do. I hope you guys can experience the same thing. Sorry if it seems rushed and terribly written. I'm trying to work on it I promise.
                                   !&$&!
Peter took a deep, grounding breath as he looked up at the stairs that would define the rest of his life. He couldn't believe he was actually doing this.

"Your up kid!"

Peter squared his shoulders as the voice of one of the many stage crew snapped him out of his trancelike state. He took another deep breath and walked up the three steps that led to the stage.

The hostess of the show gave him a pat on the back and wished him good luck. She was really tall. He was pretty sure her name was Tyra, but he was too nervous to dwell on it. Peter was also too nervous to answer so he gave her a simple nod in return.

He took half a second more to compose himself before he walked on stage. Everyone in the large auditorium was silent as they waited to see who he was and what he was going to be doing. He stood their awkwardly, in his usual half-slouched manner and waited for someone to start talking.

It didn't take a mind reader, like Wanda, to figure out what they were thinking. Here he was, some scrawny teen in a baggy sweatshirt and workout pants. He would have been uncertain about him too.

"Right, hello," came the British voice of the one-and-only Simon Cowell, "welcome to America's Got Talent. And who are you?"

"Um, hey. I'm Peter. Parker! Peter Parker." He replied. His nervousness was painfully obvious. "Hello Peter, how old are you?" Asked the blond judge next to Simon, Heidi Klum, if Peter remembered correctly.

"Uh, I'm seventeen." He stated simply. "And what might you be doing for us today Peter?" This came from Mel B. "Well, I'll be doing a bit of acrobatics and gymnastics." Peter said, not wanting to give away his act.

"So your still in school?" Asked Howie Mandel. Peter had to squint a bit to see his eyes. The light was reflecting off of his glasses making it extremely difficult to make eye contact with him. "Yes sir, I'm a Junior at Midtown High Science school in New York." Peter's 'sir' had earned him a few impressed looks from the judges and his statement about being from the Big Apple earned him a few cheers from the crowd.

"So who're you here with tonight?" Howie continued. "Uh, I'm here with my Aunt May and a few close family friends." Peter smiled. "No parents?" Simon asked. Peter's smile dissolved. "No sir." He replied emotionlessly.

"And why is that?" Simon pressed. Peter definitely wasn't smiling now. "Th-they haven't been with us for a while." He said quietly. This earned him a few aww's. He shifted a bit uncomfortably. Heidi, noticing how uncomfortable he was getting, quickly changed the subject.

"Well, lets get started! I'm excited to see your act Peter! Have fun." She said leaning forwards to rest her arms on the shared desk in front of them in wait. Peter nodded and jogged back over to the left side of the stage to give one of the workers his microphone.

He jogged back to the center of the stage and nodded to the people controlling the audios. He waited until his requested song started playing.
ж
He waited a second for the, Hey!, before sliding effortlessly into a straddle. He watched in slight amusement as some people gasped.

He waited a few more seconds for the, This is what I live for!, before flopping backwards gracefully into his back. He used his momentum to push himself up into a handstand with his legs together. He heard a few people start cheering but blocked them out in order to concentrate.

He bent his arms as if he were doing a push up and pushed against the stage so that he sprung up into the air. He tucked himself into a ball and did a backflip mid air. He landed on his feet and not even a second after he landed did he proceed to do two front handsprings and a tight front flip to give himself more space.

He stood at the front of the stage for a half beat before he launched himself into a series of quick back handsprings. On his fourth one, he jumped up into a tight backflip and landed in a half crouch.

Not waisting a minute, Peter did a front roundoff forwards and jumped gracefully into another backflip. After he landed, he took a step back, and ran forward a few steps before launching into an aerial. After he landed the aerial, he went into the beginning of a front handspring towards the audience but stopped in a handstand.

He did a few quick push up, handstand-things before he lifted up his left hand and did two more with just his right hand. He then put his left hand back down and came out of the handstand in the form of a front walk over. He had landed directly in the middle of the stage facing the audience.

At first, everyone, even the judges, were quiet. Then, the whole building burst into cheers and screams. Everyone, even the judges, jumped up out of their seats clapping. Peter winced a little at the noise but beamed at them anyways. He made it look like he was tired by making his breaths come out in quick pants, but, naturally, he wasn't tired, thanks to his powers.

No body turned off the music and he couldn't help but feel excited. It was so loud that the music could barley be heard. He looked over off stage today see his aunt beaming at him. He grinned even wider. By the end of the song, everyone started to calm down.

The judges took another minute to let everyone fully calm down before Simon put his hand up in the air. "Alright, I would like to start first." At his words, everyone went quiet. "I will say this Peter, I am impressed with your act." Peter smiled and somewhat yelled, "Thank you sir!" He still didn't have his mic. "The way you performed your flips and other things was just so natural and graceful. I honestly wasn't expecting that from such a scrawny kid like you. Good job." Simon said honestly. Peter chuckled a bit at this with everyone else.

Heidi then started talking. "I just... wow. That was truly amazing! I agree with Simon. I am really impressed. You have such a natural talent. No amount of training can make someone as good as you are if they aren't naturally talented like you. You're such a charming young man and Seeing such talent go to waist would be a shame, so..." she lifted her hand and slammed it down into the golden buzzer, "congratulations! Your going straight to the live show in Los Vegas!" She yelled as everyone erupted into cheers once more.

Peter just stood there in shock gaping at her. He barley took notice to all of the gold confetti fluttering around the stage. He barley heard the crowds defining cheers. He couldn't believe that that just happened. He snapped out of it when his aunt slammed into him. She was laughing and he could see the tears of pride and joy forming in her eyes. He laughed and hugged her back. He was surprised again when all of the judges and the hostess joined in the hug.

Later, after Tony, Natasha, May, and Peter,(no one else came because they wanted to keep it on the down low(they weren't war criminals now, they hadn't been for two years)but they were all watching. Peter had gotten a call from them almost immediately) arrived back at their hotel from going out to dinner and a movie, everyone decided to just relax in front of the tv and talk.

"Oh Peter! I'm so proud of you!" She exclaimed as she engulfed him in another hug. He laughed. "Thanks Aunt May."

"Are you sure you still want to do this kid?" Tony asked him. Peter nodded his head. "I've been Spider-Man for 3 years and I'm practically an Avenger. Doing this would solidify it for me." He said. "We will support what ever you choose to do Peter." Natasha said seriously. "Thanks." Peter said smiling again.

One by one, Peter beat the other performers. He made it farther and farther. Maybe their plan really would work. When Peter finally made it to the top three, he was going finish the final phase of their plan. But, he decided to beat Zurcaroh fairly. Well, as fairly as he could. And he did. ((AN:// in this, I am going to have each act go up against each other instead of having them just be voted off))

Two days before his last performance, he decided to finish it. He told Tony and Natasha his plan and Tony had a few more "close family friends" come.

Peter fidgeted nervously behind the curtain as his last opponent, Shin Lim, walked off of the stage. "Don't worry, you'll do fine. I bet this will be remembered." Tyra encouraged. Peter let out a nervous laugh. "You have no idea." He said before walking onto the stage.

"Hello Peter!" Mel B welcomed. "Hello." He replied with a small smile. "Well, I'm not going to keep you. When ever your ready." Peter nodded and walked his mic off stage.

This time, AJR started playing with the music video in the background. (I couldn't add it above)

Peter jogged back on stage and nodded to the people I charged of the sound. The music started playing and Peter rolled his head and stretched one of his arms. He started bobbing his head to the beat before he doing small hops side to side with his legs together with the beat of the song. As soon as "are you ready?" was heard, Peter jumped down into a split.

He blocked out the audiences cheers and swung his legs into a six-step break dance move. After a few moments, he transitioned smoothly into a three-step. He then twisted into a Cici-s. From there, a Four-step and into a Five-step variation. Peter swung himself into a handstand before falling into a two-step variation.

He swung himself into another handstand and pushed off the ground performing a backflip before catching himself in another handstand and swinging into a coffee grinder and into a flare. He then moved into a swipe and into a Icey ice. From there, he did a front somersault and rolled onto his feet. Not waisting a second, Pete jumped into a round, six, of backhand springs and into a double backflip. It was easy.

After he landed, Peter did a 180 side flip and landed sideways to the audience and judges. He then proceeded to do an Arabian backflip. After he landed, he did a round off towards the audience and did four backhand springs and launched into a double, back arial.

He did another 180 to end up facing the audience and broke into the Russian-kick dance. He then did the Russian-squat dance before jumping up and spreading his arms and legs out in a Star position land on his heels. Then he jumped back down into a squat and crossed his arms. He did this twice. He repeated this pattern three times before falling back and landing on the top of his back and his hands with his legs up in the air.

He flopped back onto is hands and feet and lifted his right arm and left leg at the same time and vice versa. Peter then bent into a back bend and did a back walk over.

He stood up and faced the audience. He opened his arms and smiled, indicating that he was done. Peter frowned when the music didn't stop. He crossed his arms and tapped his foot. When it still didn't stop.... he pouted.

Then, Ironman by Black Sabbath started playing and peter dropped down into a plank like position, like how football players drop down.

All of a sudden, the auditorium's doors flew open and Ironman and Falcon flew in. They did a flip before landing, Tony in his iconic pose, and Falcon normally. Then, Hawkeye swung down and landed in a crouch. The Black Widow flipped down from where Clint came from and landed in the same position. Bucky and Steve got up from their seats in the audience and ran up to the stage. They used their momentum to use one hand to flip onto the stage. The two landed on opposite sides of each other. Steve hit a very patriotic pose and Bucky struck a more thug-like one. Ant-Man grew in size behind where Peter was still in a plank.

When it seemed it was over, the stage lit up in a bright red and when it cleared, Wanda and Vision were on either side of Peter.

Peter and the others all made brief eye contact and Peter straitened his arms and went back down like a push up before he... pushed up... and did a flip to get right-side-up again. By now, all of the others had moved to the sides.

Cap stepped out to the middle of the stage and knelt down. He interlocked his fingers and waited. Peter ran towards him. He stepped on Steve's hands and allowed the blond to launch him into the air.

Peter did two twists and turned gracefully into a backflip. As he was flipping, he activated his nano-nite suit. He shot out a web that attached to the ceiling and caught himself. As the song ended, Peter lowered himself down and the Avengers got back into their original positions.

After the music ended, everything was quiet. After a moment of heavy silence, everyone erupted into cheers. They were so loud that Peter was genuinely surprised that the roof didn't collapse onto them.

After everyone calmed down, Peter lowered his legs and stood facing the audience, his mask still on.

"Y-your Spider-Man..." Heidi stuttered, her eyes blown open with shock. "Guilty." Peter chuckled as his mask retracted.

"But- but your just a kid..." Howie trailed off.

"Yeah, and your bald. What's your point?" Peter couldn't help it. His more confident self was showing, his spider self.

Peter's eyes widened when he realized what he said. "Oh... I..sorry." He said embarrassed. He ignored Clint whom was trying, and failing, to suppress his laughter. His giggles must have been contagious because most of the audience started cracking up too.

After they calmed down, the judges continued their 'interrogation'.

"Peter, if you don't mind me asking," Simon started, "why have you decided to reveal your identity now?" He continued after a shrug from said teen.

Peter took a deep breath and glanced over his shoulder at the rest of his team. They all smiled reassuringly and gave him a few thumbs up.

"Well, I've been with the Avengers for a little over 2 years. It has been getting increasingly harder to hide my identity. Especially since I'm on such a public team. I decided that, since everyone was gonna find out anyways, that they would on my terms." He said. Simon just nodded thoughtfully.

"Wait, you said that you have been with the Avengers for over two years, when did you start?" Mel B asked. "When I was 14. I started after my Uncle was killed. I had the power to prevent it, but let my own selfishness get the better of me. Now, I live by one of the last things he said to me. With great power, comes great responsibility."
