Peter was trying.

He was trying really, really hard.

But they just couldn't see it!!

He had been trying for two weeks to get the Avengers to guess he was Spider-Man. Tony had finally talked him into revealing his identity. But, Peter being Peter, he decided to make it fun.

Instead for just telling them he was Spidey, he decided to start dropping hints. And not very subtle ones. Which they didn't get. At all.

His first hint was when he asked them about their latest team up with the masked vigilante. They just got back from the mission, and it wasn't even on the news yet.

They just thought he had heard about it from Pepper, who was, mind you, in Aruba at the time.

Peter's second attempt was by walking around the compound on the walls.

"That's some cool tech you've got there Pete!"

What idiots.

Peter's third idea was to spin giant webs everywhere.

They thought they had a spider problem.

Not one of these had even made them suspicious! But the thing that made them realize it wasn't even intentional.

Peter and Tony, as usual, sat scowling at the TV as J. Jonah Jerk-Face ranted about how 'Spider-Man was a menace!' when Sam walked in.

He watched the "show" for a few minutes before turning around to face Peter. His eyes were blown wide open.

"Pete....are you Spider-Man?"

Peter facepalmed.

"Well duh! The kids been dropping hints for weeks!" Tony exclaimed.
