If i could only show someone 

who i really am

i wonder if they would like me 

when i break the dam

or would they try to change me

to be someone they like 

would it be because of society 

to make sure i do not rise

would they stop their lies of equality

and do as they promise 

just for the sake of humanity

and hopefully to flourish

when will they stop and realise

they cannot change the past

and think of whats not fair

will only bring demise

the elders only lecture 

and go against their words

they expect youngsters to respect and follow

as if they do not curse

it is true perfection is outside of their capability

but expectations is not obviously

what do they expect people to follow 

when the goals they set 

are apparently so hard to follow
