Chapter 59

<Scott's POV>

I let Stiles sit up in the chair a bit. He looks around at all of us curiously, a frown plastered onto his face. Stiles furrows his eyebrows and his lisp part slowly. "Where is Danny?" He asks. Pain pangs in my chest, stabbing at my heart. No one answers Stiles. "Where's Ethan?" He questions. Aiden sniffs and bites his lips harshly before walking quickly out of the room. I can smell his sadness from him. It's as vibrant as warmth radiating from a forest fire. Allison who was standing as my mother assessed her wounds falls to the ground with a loud clash. I rush to her side and brush the hair away from her face. Listening intently to Allison, I hear a heartbeat. Mr. Argent kneels opposite of me and grabs Allison's wrist tightly in worry.

"It's because of the mention of death," Kira suggests. I nod in agreement and continue to try and get Allison to wake up.

"Death? No one said anything about death," Stiles says in confusion from the chair. He rips off the cloth and jacket from his shoulders, leaving him in his t-shirt and jeans. Lydia steps forward and holds Stiles' arm kindly.

"Stiles, Danny and Ethan were killed while battling against Theo," Lydia mutters. Stiles squints in disbelief, I hear his heart beat quicken.

"What?" Stiles asks. Lydia bites her lips in anticipation and nods.

"The funeral is in two days, I told Danny's parents what happened," Jackson announces. Lydia looks at him in shock.

"You told the Mahealani's over the phone that their son was killed by a vampire!" Lydia shouts. Jackson closes his eyes for a moment to seize whatever negative energy is running through him.

"No, before you regained consciousness I went to their house and told them that Danny was killed in a car crash," Jackson explains.

"How are you going to explain the lack of a wrecked car?" Boyd asks with raised eyebrows.

"I crashed the Porsche on purpose," Jackson mentions, "I told them that he was in the car with me when it happened and I survived where as he was... killed," Jackson struggles to get out. I see Malia grab his hand to support him and I can not help but smile. One of the last things Danny and I wished for Jackson was for him to get over Lydia and embrace his feeing for Malia. Danny would have been proud.

I notice now that Stiles and Lydia have left the room. I sigh slowly, but jolt back into a fast pace when Allison shoots awake. "Scott!" She screams urgently. I grab her hand and she looks at me. It occurs to me that Allison only came back to us last night and this is the first time I am really looking into her eyes. It's like in this exact moment we have both broken through the problems surrounding us and can finally put our effort into each other.

She looks at me with those golden brown eyes and I melt on the spot. In a split second, I have her pulled into my lap. My arms slide quickly around the small of her back while her arms cling desperately to the back of my neck. She tucks her head in my neck and her breathing warms my skin. My skin is pressed into her shoulder and I close my eyes. Taking a deep breath, I smell the familiar scent of metal and lilac. A few strands of her hair have flung onto my back, and some have gotten stuck in my grasp on her back. Her heart pounds against mine at a fast pace. "You're okay," I mutter. I feel her nod fast in my neck. Everyone around us fades away and it feels like Allison and I are the only two people in the entire world. Upon opening my eyes I see everyone around us actually have faded away. They have all moved to another room, leaving us in peace. Allison pulls away a bit so she can rest her forehead against mine.

"Scott, I'm not sure about anything anymore, mostly about why the darkness around my heart has gotten so bad, but I'm sure about one thing. You're the only person in the entire world that I know will always be there with me. I love you Scott," Allison declares.

"I love you too," I answer before I put my lips on hers for the first time in what seems like an eternity. The hole in my heart that formed when Allison was gone is now nonexistent. The kiss is short and soft. We stand up afterwards, our hands clasped together tightly and make our way upstairs to my room.

When entering my room I find Stiles and Lydia sitting on my bed. Stiles, sitting on the edge of the bed, his feet touching the floor and Lydia cross legged with her head on his shoulder. The pair look up at us when we enter the room as well. I smile weakly and walk casually in with Allison at my side. We sit on the middle of the bed and our friends turn their bodies around to look at us. We all just stay kind of quiet sitting with our legs crossed, looking at each other or at our hands as we fidget. "I don't know what to say," Lydia says, breaking the bubble of silence. Allison smiles.

"Hi," she says like it's not completely awkward. Lydia manages a small laugh and she grabs Allison's free hand. The silence returns. "Well it's someone else's turn," Allison exclaims.

"Hello," Lydia mutters and then looks to Stiles. He sighs sadly and looks from his hands and then back up to us.

"Uh ya hey," he says awkwardly. The three of them look at me. I know that now is not the time or the place, but I do not know if I can hold it back any longer. I look directly at Stiles.

"I know about the note," I say quickly, "and the gun," I add lamely. Stiles widens his eyes and just looks at me in shock as if he knew exactly what I was going to say, but did not want to believe it. "And I understand why you two," I gesture to Allison and Lydia, "didn't tell me, but," I look back at my best friend, "I don't understand why you never asked me for help," I exclaim to a shocked Stiles. He shakes his head slowly.

"I didn't want help," Stiles says quietly. My first reaction is to shake my head at my best friend.

"I'm afraid to leave you alone now, I feel like I'm going to loose you," I tell him. Allison squeezes my hand at the sound of my voice shaking and cracking. Stiles bites down on his lip.

"You should feel like that, I killed Ethan and Danny," Stiles tells us. Allison shakes her head.

"No Stiles, that was Theo and his followers that were under the control of the Ignarus," Allison explains.

"Ok, then how about how I captured Lydia, again," Stiles adds. Lydia leans closer to Stiles.

"Stiles, I don't know how many times we can tell you this," Lydia starts desperately, "that was the nogitsune, not you." Stiles bites down hard on both of his lips. He squeezes his eyes shut and then opens them slowly.

"You guys would be upset if I died?" Stiles asks.

"More than upset, I'd be broken," I tell him as the two girls nod in agreement.

"Then you have to promise to never leave me, I don't want to make you all sad. If you guys just stay with me I won't be tempted to end everything, so can you promise to be at my side?" Stiles asks glumly.

"We're with you," Lydia assures him. Allison leans closer to him, her eyes locked on his.

"Always," Allison adds with a sad smile. The tears start to break free from his eyes and fall down his cheeks. Stiles leans his head into Lydia's shoulder as he cries weakly. At the sight of my best friend crying, tears fill my own eyes as well. Allison notices and wraps her arms around my shoulder, pressing her cheek to my chest.

"Allison, you-you missed senior scribe, Scott, he signed your initials for you," Stiles says through his quiet tears. I smiles at the memory. Allison lifts her head from my chest to look me in the eyes with a smile on her face.

"You guys will have to show me whenever we turn up at school again," she says amused. We all start laughing a bit, despite this the tears do not stop completely. A soft knock on my door stops my light laughing. Kira steps into the room shyly. We all smile at her. She looks back at us with her own small smile.

"Um, sorry to interrupt I just asked everyone downstairs already and they couldn't help me out," Kira starts hesitantly. I know where she is going with this. The talk we had is still fresh in my mind about how her parents were lying to her. "My parents are obviously both demented and lying assholes for lack of a better word, and I don't have any relatives to stay with because they all live in New York, so I was wondering if it's not to much to ask you all if I could stay-"

"My house," Lydia interrupts, "you can stay with me, for as long as you need, whether that is forever or only a few days. You can stay with me," Lydia offers without hesitation. Kira smiles brighter.

"Thank you so much Lydia," Kira thanks her. Lydia nods with a big smirk on her face.

"You can ride home with me when your ready to go," Lydia tells her. Kira nods happily.

"Oh by the way, Malia is asking for you Stiles," Kira tells him.

"Thanks Sparks," Stiles says jokingly, like his old self. Kira walks out of the room with a skip in her step. Boyd's head peaks in a few second later.

"Hey Lydia, thanks for letting Kira stay with you, I would let her stay with me, but my family, well-"

"No explanation needed, she can live with me and still be your girlfriend," Lydia assures Vernon. He bites his lip and shakes his head.

"Well thanks, but she is not my girlfriend," he says shyly.

"Yet," Lydia tells him with a smirk.

"Ya ya ya, I'm working on it," he says with a smile, "and I just wanna thank you guys for showing me that I can have a lot of friends, it means a lot to me." I smile and nod.

"Of course, you're part of the pack," I inform him while flashing my eyes red. He flashes his yellow irises back at me with a smile and walks slowly away. We sit in silence for no more than ten seconds before Lydia speaks up again.

"Stiles, Malia's waiting," she reminds him. He nods and makes sure to kiss her on the cheek before standing up slowly as if his entire body is sore. Once he is out of the door I turn my gaze from the door to the two girls.

"What he said before is true, we can't leave him alone, ever," I demand. Allison and Lydia nod.

"Okay well then someone has to be there in the morning, during class and after school," Allison explains.

"He picks me up every morning for school usually, Kira and I will stick with him in the mornings, then I know he has first period with Isaac and Jackson," Lydia offers. I nod.

"So he must drive you home after school or you go to his house, just stay with him and if you can't I'll meet him at his house," I explain, "I'm not risking loosing him."

<Stiles' POV>

I find Malia talking with Kira and Jackson at the bottom of the stairs. She notices me walking towards her and smiles noticeably. "You wanted to talk with me," I say a little unsure of what to expect. Malia nods and kisses Jackson on the cheek before he and Kira walk away together. I raise my eyes when she kisses his cheek. "That's new," I say with a slight smirk. Malia blushes and faces the floor with her arms now crossed over he chest.

"Ya, he showed up at my house the day we were supposed t go out, but you never showed and we hit it off," Malia explains. More guilt is added onto my shoulders when she mentions me standing her up.

"Ya about that, I'm really sorry that I didn't show up, the thing is-"

"Before you say anything, that event is exactly what I wanted to talk about," she interrupts, "that wasn't me and I don't want you to think I was trying to get you away from the person you really love. I don't know why, but somehow Theo thought me getting to you would help distance Lydia from the pack, so when he got in my head and was controlling me I couldn't stop it. I just want you to remember me as me, and not someone that another person created. I want you to see me as a girl who likes to run, and a girl who has nothing against you or Lydia, or anyone else in the pack that I may of hurt while I was possessed," Malia exclaims. I nod my head slowly.

"Trust me Malia, I know what it feels like to have no choice but to hurt the ones you love because someone is controlling you. And I look forward to being friends with you, the real you that is," I say happily. Malia smiles brighter.

"Thanks Stiles," she says before walking casually away into the living room. I watch her walk away until someone's arms wrap around my neck. A pair of legs straddle my back and strawberry blonde tendrils of hair fall into my face. Upon realizing that Lydia is the one who is clinging to my back like a monkey, I don't hesitate holding her thighs to my hips as I spin us around. She giggles in my ear and I can not help but laugh with her. It's surprising even to me when I hear my self laugh. The feeling of sadness, self-disappointment, and guilt is so strong inside me it seems almost impossible that I am laughing. Maybe it's Lydia. Maybe just her presence makes me that much happier.

"My turn!" Allison yells before jumping on my back as well. My knees buckle under the weight of the two girl and I fall flat on my face with a loud thump.

"Stiles, don't get blood on my floor!" Melissa shouts from around the corner.

"You got it," I grumble against the wood floor, my voice muffled. Our other friends join us by the stairs. Jackson takes one look at me under both Allison and Lydia and rolls his eyes while Isaac crosses his arms over his chest and smirks with Cora who just looks at us amused. Kira laughs and blushes as the same time, Malia letting out only a singer giggle. Boyd raises his eyebrows and shakes his head in mock disappointment, Derek mimicking Boyd's reaction. Even Aiden manages a small smile. Scott looks at the three of us amused before he takes Allison's hand and pulls her off my back. With less weight on me I manage to flip myself over, resulting in Lydia sliding off my back onto the floor. I sit up and Lydia and I help each other up. The entire pack looks at each other not really knowing what to say.

"I feel like this is when I'm supposed to say something cliche and meaningful," Scott says with Allison attached to him at the hip. Isaac looks up at Scott and shakes his head slightly.

"Our whole existence is a cliche." He exclaims. Cora scoffs.

"Wow Lahey, deep."

A/N I really like this chapter, I don't know why. I'm also pretty sure this is the end of part three, congratulations you've made it.
