Chapter 7: The Team

I gazed down at Nolanburg City. I was on a cliff, and there was a small stairwell leading downwards. The city was pretty big; I could see the red roof of the Pokemon Center, a small park, and a tall building.

"What's that big building over there?" Zeke and I asked at the same time.

"That's the PokeFone factory," Goldie said. "And it's the gym. The leader is Blight, and he trains the Electric-Type."

"Well, if it's Electric-Type, then Hoothoot won't be much help," Zeke said.

After that, we walked down to the city. I told the two we could catch more Pokemon at the park hopefully, so we went over there.

"Hello! You want to participate in the Bug-Catching-Contest?" The man at the front said.

"Uh... Sure," Zeke said.

The guy handed Zeke 20 special Pokeballs. Goldie also got 20 of the same kind of Pokeballs, but she said she didn't want to do the contest; she was just going to catch Pokemon.

(20 Minutes later)

"And the winner is... Zeke the Pokemon Trainer! He caught a whopping Scyther!" The man in front of me said.

"Yes!" Zeke said.

"Brax!" I said.

We had a new addition to our team. A Scyther, a pretty rare Pokemon in the Janid Region.

"Scyther! Come on... OUT!" Zeke said.

"Scy, ther!"

"And for winning, he gets the Fire Stone!" the guy handed him a Fire Stone. It was about the size of a human hand, orange, with a red flame in the exact middle.

"Thank you," Zeke said.

(Later)

Zeke caught an Eevee at the park right before we left. It was pretty much unheard of in this region, so I think someone abandoned him. But why?

"Hey! You! Get over here!" someone said. I turned around. It was a boy, with green hair, a green and red suit, and three Pokeballs. Uh-oh.

"Why?" Goldie asked.

"Ok, if you're not gonna play good, then GO! KOFFING!" A purple Pokemon appeared in a flash of light. "I am from Team Jupiter! And I need YOU to come with me!"

"Nah," Zeke said. "Eevee! You're up!"

Eevee appeared in a flash of light.

First, Koffing used Smog. It hit Eevee and poisoned it. Next, Eevee used Swift. It also hit Koffing. Then Koffing used Smokescreen, then Tackle. That hit Eevee. Now Eevee used Swift a couple times. It hit Koffing, but Eevee was still losing. Then I realized something.

"Fire Stone on Eevee!" I whispered into Zeke's ear.

He got the stone from his bag and threw it at Eevee. It caught it. Then it turned white. Its tail grew, and so did its ears. Then the glowing stopped. It was red.

"FLAREON!!!" It shouted.

It used Flamethrower on Koffing. It was an instant KO.

"AAHHH! I will get you for that! I WILL!" The Team Jupiter guy yelled, then he ran away.

"Flareon," I said. "Wow. It probably hasn't been an Eevee for long. Again, wow," I said.

Well, that was fun! I like this chapter. I also spent an hour or two on this chapter.
