Chapter 21: The First "Pokemon" Trainer

The gym was floating. Really. It was just a foot or so above the ground, but still floating.

" 'Dremani. The Psychic-Type gym leader. Uses sleeping moves very often. Stock up on awakenings!' " I said, reading the sign next to the gym. "Let's do this, Mew."

I jumped up to the ledge. But as soon as my feet touched the floor, the building crashed to the ground. I fell onto my face. I figured the leader could be meditating or something then knows a challenger is there. I walked in.

"Hey! I want a battle with Dremani!" I yelled.

A girl looking to be about twenty or so stepped out into the light out of a room that, when I looked behind her, was a wall.

"I'll gladly accept," She said. "Go..." Dramatic pause, and she stopped moving, "Musharna!"

A big pink Pokemon with a Purple back came out. As soon as it did, it started emanating mist out of its mouth.

"Ok. GO!!! Paniward!" I yelled.

Paniward came out. First, it used Fury Cutter and Metal Claw. The combo move from the third gym. It was pretty effective; Bug-Type moves were super effective. Metal wasn't too bad either. Musharna was very hurt. Now it used Hypnosis. Paniward barely dodged it. He used Fury Cutter a bunch. Musharna was hit over and over again. And then it fainted.

"What?! That's not possible! My Musharna getting knocked out like that!" Dremani returned Musharna then sent out an Espeon.

Paniward used the combo attack again, but Espeon jumped up. From behind, it used Yawn. Paniward was hit and it fell asleep.

I clenched my teeth. "Ok... Paniward, you've had enough. Flareon, Your turn!" I said.

Flareon appeared in a flash of light. It started out with Flamethrower, but Espeon used Protect. It launched a Psybeam. Flareon used Double Team, then it used Flamethrower and Swift. Another combo move. The fiery stars headed towards Espeon with its guard down. It hit head-on. Espeon fainted.

"You win," Dremani said. "Here." She threw me a badge. It was a purple star. Then she walked into another room.

I walked out, thinking: 'I'm the first Pokemon Trainer. Literally. And I just won a badge. Also literally.'

And then I walked out. I walked to the Pokemon Center and healed my Pokemon.

Sorry for the late update! I had other things to do...

Anyway, I'm glad this chap's done. It took FOREVA!

Anyway, I think it MIGHT be my longest chapter yet. Maybe. I am hoping for long chapters, but I just can't get two pages on one chapter.
