Chapter Two
Chapter Two
Gai took me home and showed me around the place. It looked like what a stereotypical gypsy's home, which just built on this guys weirdness. Small nic-nacs everywhere, and the colors on the wall were neon hues of pink and orange and purple.
“This place, it's so colorful.” I commented and Gai grinned at me from ear to ear.
“Of course, my youthful butterfly! It brings youth to everyone who sees!” he insisted and I just rolled my eyes at that. His view on 'youth' was much different than mine. For me, youth means you are just a child. And that's that,
He showed me where I was going to sleep, a futon in the living room, that already had blankets on it as if Gai knew somebody were to be staying with him after today. I was okay with sleeping on the couch, I would of taken the floor if there were no other places for me to sleep. As long as there was a roof over my head, I was fine.
Now to manage living with this lunatic, I don't know.
Once he was through with showing me around I went to the front door, my hands in my pockets.
“I'm going to go out, I'll be back home tonight.” I said, my voice pitch as high as ever. This voice thing is so annoying.
“Okay my beautiful butterfly!” was Gai's stupid reply. I rolled my eyes as I left the madman's house. I walked down the few stair steps and made my way down the road, towards where I thought the Academy was. My intuition was right and I found the Academy pretty close to Gai's place.
There were little kids everywhere. Well, they ranged from about six to about thirteen. And I was sixteen, so to me they were all little.
Two girls came up to me with smiles on their faces. One with pink hair, the other with blonde. I looked them up and down and found that there was no attractive attribute about them at all to be blunt. But I was standing to them as a girl, so it was okay that I didn't feel any sort of lust towards them. Besides they looked like they were twelve.
“Who're you?” The blonde asked, almost rudely. I narrowed my eyes at her.
“Naomi. Do you know someone named Sasuke?” They both narrowed their eyes right back at me.
“What do you want with Sasuke-kun?” The pink haired girl sneered. I glared at both of them very coldly.
“You know, you little bitch, I'm older than you and much stronger, so I'd shut the Hell up and tell me where Sasuke is.” I growled and both of the girls eyes widened.
“He's out throwing shuriken in the back!” The blond burst out and I smiled at her.
“Thank you. Goodbye.”
I walked away from the two girls and made my way to the back. And there he was, throwing a kunai at a tree stump. He had a bead of sweat going down his forehead indicating to me that he was a hard worker.
I stood there and watched him take aim with his kunai and get ready to throw it again. As he hurled it at the stump, I appeared in front of it and grabbed the kunai with my index finger and thumb. His eyes widened slightly and his posture turned to a much more alert and hesitant one. His footing switched to one that might run away if needed.
Good, he automatically felt intimidated by me.
“Who are you?” he demanded and I smiled, dropping the kunai, it sticking to the ground next to my feet.
“My name is Seether, but you are to call me Naomi. We will have a dark future together soon enough.” I introduced and he frowned.
“Are you a girl or a boy?” My eye twitched the slightest bit.
“As of right now, I am a girl.” I answered carefully, hinting to him that the whole girl thing was just a disguise.
“Okay...” Sasuke was beyond confused, and I knew that. So I tried a different approach.
“Don't you want power? Enough power to get revenge on your brother?” I asked and his whole expression changed to a much more harsher one, not that scared anymore.
“What do you know about that?” He snarled. I smiled at him politely.
“I know everything, Sasuke.”
He launched himself at me, aimlessly throwing a punch. I grabbed his wrist, and appeared behind him in lightening speed. I slipped out my katana and pressed it against his throat, letting go of his wrist.
“Don't you want power?” I repeated in a mere whisper. He trembled in fear, afraid I was going to take his life away from him.
“Yes...” he mumbled and I smiled devilishly.
“Then just stick by me, and you'll get that power plus some.” I said quietly and he nodded. I slowly took the katana away and put it back in it's place on my back in its sheath. I appeared in front of Sasuke and held out my hand for him to shake.
“Deal?” I offered and he thought it over before smiling and putting his hand in mine. I gave him one shake before letting go.
“Deal.”
