Sergeant Cooper

"I don't give a fuck! I want to know why these alarms are going off, do you hear me!" I shouted viciously at the two dumbasses wearing blue jumpsuits, scurrying along in the electrical room.

The piercing sound of the siren had my mind boiling more and more. I couldn't think with all this damn noise. "Someone shut those damn sirens off now!"

There was too much chaos happening and not enough order. Getting out of control is not a good sign of a well-organized colony. Once one little duck gets out of line, soon others will follow. I can't have that.

The alarm soon shut off and I could finally hear myself think but I needed to figure out what the hell set them off in the first place. I took notice of the Williams people looking my way with their small gestured whispers at each other. These mindless brainiacs have one job to do: Continue making the serum stronger than before and that's it. No time for fucken chitchats.

"Everyone back to work!" I shouted.

The crowd dispersed and all except one walked towards me. "Have you found out what happened?" William said, pushing his ridiculous glasses up from sliding down his bridge again.

"Does it look like I found out?" I spat and crossed my arms.

He stood next to me in silence as we waited for the technicians to figure out what the hell happened.

One of the blue jumpsuits ran over my way but it wasn't quick enough. Waving my hands forward, I barked at him, "Hurry up! I don't have all night."

They came to me with news. "It looks like the sensors were triggered from the bottom floor.

My eyes shot open. Whoever it was had a lot of balls to enter those private quarters.

"Do you want us to go and check it out?" the man said.

"No, no. We'll do it," William interrupted.

I swear that man has zero sense in not making what we do down there obviously suspicious. If he didn't have the brains I needed, he'd be chow by now.

"We'll take over from here," I said, leading the way to the elevators.

Reaching the lab with my gun in hand, I searched around for any signs of movement. "Clear!" I said, as the tiny fat man peeked his head out from the other side.

Taking an extra look around, my eyes darted to something hanging by the table. Reaching down, I pulled, hearing a tear, and I could see that it was a black and white sweatband. Taking it to my nose, it smelled of a sour and stale aroma.

Taking another look at the object, I felt like I'd seen it before. Putting it in my pocket, I looked at the odd man who was checking all his equipment.

"Well, did you find anything missing?" I asked.

The man gave a loud puff. "Yes! They took the flashdrive that has all my recordings and documents of every test subject I've ever experimented on." Wiping his sweat with the sleeve of his crinkled shirt, he walked over to the tank.

Standing right next to the man, we both stood and watched subject 101, still nicely confined to his straps.

"I don't want you to stop testing. If you need more Stiffs, we'll get more. You need more zombies, we'll get more." I stared the short man dead in the face. "We're this close in creating super human serum. We just need to figure out how to extract what the Stiffs have and what subject 101 has without turning into them."

"It's not as easy as you think. Each subject I get either dies or changes like him." He applied pressure to his temple as he spoke.

We both looked at the half beast-half man. His skin was fully a dark greyish-blue color. It had streaks of red veins coursing all around its body. The face was sharp and animal-like. Only the eyes remained the same showing that it was once human.

I walked away from the scientist and his pet Guinea pig. "We'll figure it out. You don't have much time though, if they have your flashdrive," I said and then exited the room.

As I was heading out, one of my men stopped me. "Sergeant, we found one of them hiding in Dr. Beatress' home."

Finally, things were getting somewhere. "Show me!"

Following my men to the house, I walked in and saw Dr. Beatress kneeling down and handcuffed as well as the blonde-haired stiff. "Well, well... look who we have here. You know, Dr. Beatress, this is a huge crime committed on the North."

Her short brown hair was a tangled mess as beads of sweat and tears collided together. "Screw you and your rules! What you're doing is sadist! These are innocent people you are torturing!" she screamed.

"Mom!" The young girl pleaded for her. The both tried wiggling their bodies out of my men's hands.

I chuckled at the scene. "I didn't know you had a child, Dr. Beatress." I teased. "Oh, did you adopt this poor helpless Stiff?" I said, looking at my men who laughed with me.

"You're a pathetic piece of shit! Wait until Mark sees what you're doing!"

I waved my hand to have her annoying mouth covered. Once that was done, I focused my attention to the trembling Stiff. "You know of anyone sneaking around my science building?" I asked oh, so nicely at first.

She didn't budge. Instead, she looked over to the woman still taped up. This gave me an idea. Taking my gun out, I pointed it right at her head. She squealed at the action I was now taking. Even some of my men jumped back, a bit startled by what I was doing. "Straight to it girl. I don't have all fucken day!"

Her lips squeezed shut, holding in the information I desperately needed.

"I'm going to count to three." I pulled the clip back, making that click sound that I absolutely love. "One... two..."

"Okay! Okay! Please don't shoot!" the young Stiff finally gave in.

Beatress's eyes were cast down in hopelessness.

"There's a secret tunnel that leads to the South. It is in the old science building—in the closet." She dropped her head ashamed by what she did.

I was all but thrilled by the information as I waved my gun in the air. "See boys, just a little intimidation gets things going faster for ya," I said, amusing myself.

I looked over to my main guy, Stark, who I trusted more than anyone here. "Stark, get a unit through those tunnels and have the place surrounded on the South side." Looking at the woman and girl, I shouted to my men, "Get these two delivered to Williams on the bottom floor!"

As soon as I said that, the woman went ballistic trying to reach for her long lost pathetic daughter. This night just got better.
