Part 74

Next morning:

IN RM:

Arnav is in his room getting ready for office when Khushi came with his coffee.

"Arnavji" almost shouted Khushi. Arnav jerked hearing her shout.

"What happened Khushi ??"asked Arnav confused.

"Why are wearing this ?? Are you going to office ?"asked Khushi fuming in anger.

"Yes ofcourse. Why are you asking like that ??"asked Arnav.

"How can you go to office Arnavji ?? Today is Di's Godhbharai. You have to be here for helping me in preparations" said Khushi.

"Khushi. There are workers for making preparations. Besides that, Akash and NK are there for helping them. I only have one meeting, I will return by afternoon" said Arnav.

Khushi looked at him upset.

"Khushi. I will return soon. Doctor asked you not to take more stress so plzz don't run here and there. You just stay in the room" said Arnav.

Khushi simply nodded her head. Arnav planting a kiss on her forehead left from there.

The whole RM is busy with decorations. Workers are running here and there in decorating. Akash and NK are also helping them for necessary things to be brought.

Anjali, Nani and mami are sitting in the hall when Sheetal going out.

"Sheetal"called out Anjali. She stopped on her tracks and came near them.

"What bhabhi ? "Sheetal asked a bit irritated.

"You will be there in the evening function. Aren't you ??"asked Anjali.

"Sorry Bhabhi. I can't. I don't like all these functions with whole girls. I feel uncomfortable. " said Sheetal.

"Haan Haan. We know where you exactly feel more comfortable... " said mami.

"What happened RS ?"asked Shyam coming from upstairs.

"Nothing Shyamji. I am asking Sheetal to be in evening function but she is not ready " said Anjali.

"Bhai. You know I won't feel comfortable" said Sheetal.

"But Sheetal you have to be. It is her Godhbharai. All will ask her about her nanad. So you are staying for evening function" said Shyam.

"Bhai.........."Sheetal protested but Shyam said" I don't want to hear anymore"

Sheetal giving an angry glare to her brother went from there stamping her foot.

"RS. I too will leave. Just have some work" said Shyam and went from there.

After sometime, Khushi came out of the kitchen, she saw the workers fixing flowers by standing on the ladder. But the guy get down and went to some toehr work.

"He left the work in the middle" thought Khushi.. She saw HP and asked to fix it.

"Khushi Bhabhi. I will just come by placing them in kitchen" said HP and went.

"No one listens. I will do it by myself" mumbled Khushi and climbed the ladder.

She was arranging them when one of the worker pulled the carpet. The ladder which is also on the carpet fumbled.

"awwww"

Everyone looked at the direction of noise and saw Khushi going to fall along with ladder.

"Khushiji"

"Khushi"

"HHBB"

"Khushi bitiya" came all the voices at the same time.

Everyone felt relief when two strong hands caught her safely. Khushi opened her eyes and saw herself safely in Arnav's arms. She is looking frightened.

Arnav slowly brought her near sofa and placed her. Payal gave her water.

"Khushiji. What is this ?? You should be careful " said Anjali.

"Ha Khushi bitiya. What is the need for you to climb it ?? There are workers to do it . What if something happens to you and baby ?"said Nani a bit upset with her action.

"Haan Khushi. Why did you do this ?? You could have said to Akash or NK"said Payal too worried

"Stop it all of you. To whom you are trying to convince. This girl!! She will never listens to anyone. She always do what she wants. Didn't care even for baby ?? It is waste even to make an attempt to convince her.. Leave it all. " shouted Arnav with anger.

"Chote!! Calm down" came Anjali near him.

"Calm down Di.. How ?? From morning she is not feeling well, doctor advised her to take rest and I strictly ordered her not to step out of the room and now see she is climbing, jumping and doing all things. I never had seen any stubborn girl like her in my whole life. She will say you to be careful and she won't even take care of her Di. " said Arnav angrily and went to upstairs.

Khushi was sitting with lowering her head with tears. His anger is justified. She didn't even think twice.

Nani signaled everyone to go from there. All left to their other works. She sat beside Khushi and placed her hand on her head soothing.

"Khushi bitiya. Chote's anger is justifiable. You have to take care of you. Don't forget that you have another life inside whom you should protect. "said Nani.

"I am sorry Naniji" said Khushi hiccupping.

"It is not me whom you should apologize" said Nani. Khushi understood and walked upstairs to face the volcano.

She entered their room and looked for him. There he is at the poolside watching the water. She slowly went forward. Arnav understood her arrival by her Payal sound.

"Arnavji" called Khushi softly. He stiffened hearing her voice. She went and stood infront of him but he turned away.

"Arnavji. Plz talk to me" said Khushi choking. Arnav is going to move away from there but Khushi hugged him from back crying.

"I am sorry Arnavji. Plz forgive me. I will be careful from now onwards" said Khushi hiccupping.

Arnav's could feel her tears wetting his shirt. He fisted his hand. He can't bear her tears. He slowly removed her grip and turned towards her. She stood lowering her head.

"Khushi. look at me" said Arnav.

But she din't look at him "I am sorry" said still crying.

Arnav lifted her chin, wiped off her tears.

" I am sorry" she kept on chanting it. He hugged her soothing her back. She calmed down.

"Khushi. Please don't cry" said Arnav. she looked up at him.

"Arnavji. I am a bad Mother. I didn't even thought about my child. If you didn't caught me, by now my baby.." said Khushi crying.

"Khushi. You are a really very good mother. I won't let anything happen to you and baby" said Arnav consoling her.

Then looking at him seriously she said" Arnavji. I promise you from now I will take care of me and will follow your instructions"

"Ok Ok. Now come, you take rest for sometime" said Arnav and carried her to the bed, placed her on the bed, sat beside her stroking her hair lovingly. Soon Khushi fell into fast asleep.

Arnav went downstairs to help them in preparations. Seeing Arnav's calm nature, all felt relief.

In the evening:

Khushi came out of the washroom wearing yellow and red color lehenga with water dripping from her hairs. Arnav looked at her lost. He slowly forwarded to her. Understanding his gaze, Khushi felt nervous and moved back until she hit the wall. Arnav enclosed her between him and the wall.

"Arnavji. I need to go downstairs" said Khushi fidgeting the towel in her hands. The towel fell down from her hands.

Arnav moved more into her while Khushi closed her eyes. After a while, not feeling any sensation, Khushi opened her eyes only to see Arnav looking at her folding his hands with towel in his hands.

"What happened Khushi ?? Why are you feeling soo nervous ??"asked Arnav. So he is teasing her thought Khushi.

She was going from there but Arnav caught her by wrist and hugged her inhaling her scent. She struggled to come out, but he hugged her even more tight. Finally she too gave in.

Their trance is broken by the door knock. Arnav went and opened the door. Akash is standing infront of him.

"Bhai. I need to talk with you regarding that Tyagi's project" said Akash.

"Ok. Come" said Arnav and both of them moved towards poolside.

Khushi after getting ready, went to Anjali's room . Payal helping Anjali.

"Wow Khushiji. You are looking soo beautiful" said Anjali.

"Thank you Di" Khushi blushed.

In the downstairs, Arnav, Akash and NK came to check about preparations. The guests are coming. Nani and Mami are welcoming them. Buaji too came who is welcomed by them warmly. Even Payal's parents too arrived..

Arnav and Akash came near to take blessings. NK too came there.

"Chote. Now you all go to upstairs and don't come until the function ends" said Nani.

"But why Nani ??"asked Arnav.

"It is only ladies function. Gents are not allowed" said Nani.

"Nani. This is not fair. From morning, we are doing all the preparations and now you are saying we can't attend the function" said NK.

Buaji pulled NK's cheeks and said" Hai re NK. You can't come babua. Only Anjali bitiya's husband is allowed "

NK who thought to escape from Buaji's pullings went from there followed by Arnav and Akash to discuss about office work.

After sometime, Payal and Khushi brought Anjali downstairs. She was looking beautiful in her red color lehenga with red dupatta on her head.

Anjali came near Nani and mami.

Nani with tears in her eyes said "Anjali Bitiya. I am very happy for you. Your dream of becoming a mother is finally going to be true."

"aur nahi to kya. Anjali bitiya did many fastings and pooja's for this" said mami. Shyam and Sheetal were seeing their family drama irked.

Anjali too became emotional. Payal and Khushi led her to the stage. She seated and soon the rituals started.. one by one everyone came, blessed Anjali and said something in her ear.

When the rituals are finished, the girls started to dance. One girl dragged Payal for dance, even Buaji and mamiji accompanied them. Shyam and Sheetal went upstairs not able to see the drama. All are enjoying happily.

Khushi sat beside Anjali..

"Di. What did everyone said in your ear ??"asked Khushi out of curiousity .

"Khushiji. When we perform your Godh bharai, you will come to know " teased Anjali to which Khushi turned to beetroot red.
