Part 70

Anjali came into the kitchen while they were preparing lunch.

"Khushiji and Payalji. I am going for my checkup to hospital" said Anjali.

"But Di. I thought to introduce you to my bhai" said Khushi pouting.

"Don't worry Khushiji. I will return by the time your bhai arrives" said Anjali.

"Ok Di. Are you going alone ??"asked Payal.

"No Payalji. Mamiji is accompanying me" said Anjali.

"Ok Di. Take care" said Khushi.

"You too take care of my nephew or niece" said Anjali and went from there.

After sometime, the door bell rang. Khushi went and opened the door. Arnav returned from the office. Khushi gave him a broad smile.

"Arnavji.. You came.. I thought you will come late" said Khushi allowing him to enter.

"Meeting over early Khushi. So I came" said Arnav.

"Now. You go and freshup. I will call you when bhai comes" said Khushi.

Arnav went upstairs while Khushi into the kitchen. Arnav came down after sometime, Khushi and Payal are in the hall along with Nani . Arnav too came and sat beside Khushi. She is always watching over the door now and then. Arnav understood how desparate she is to meet her brother.

Soon Shashi along with Arvind came at the door. Khushi rushed to them running.

"Careful Khushi" shouted Arnav from the back.

Khushi hugged Arvind tightly to which he reciprocated. All looked at arvind who is handsome wearing a formal suit.

"Oh my God. Khushi. Are you trying to kill me ?"asked Arvind.

Khushi came out of the hug, keeping a cute pout said "Bhaiyya. I missed you soo much"

"Me too" said Arvind.

"Khushi Bitiya. Let them enter the house" said Nani.

Khushi invited them both into the house. Arvind and Shashi entered into the house.

Khushi introduced Arvind to everyone. He took blessings from Nani. He shook hand with Arnav and greeted Payal.

All took their respected places and Arnav, Arvind talking about their business and job.

Nani " Payal bitiya. Go and arrange dishes on the table"

"But Nani. Di and Mami still din't returned "said Khushi.

"Khushi. I called Di. They both will soon be here" said Arnav.

"Ok"said Khushi and went to help Payal.

After arranging dishes, Khushi along with Payal came into hall.

"Shall we have lunch ?? I am feeling hungry" said Khushi.

"Khushi. I Know you love food more than anyone else but you said your Di is coming naa. Let us wait" said Arvind.

Khushi glared at him pouting while others chuckled.

Soon Arvind went aside to talk as he got a call.

Just then Anjali too came along with Mami.

"Di too came. Now we can have lunch.." called Khushi.

Anjali looked at her and came near her smiling.

"Anjali bitiya. What did doctor say ??"asked Nani.

"Nothing to worry Nani. Everything is fine. Me and baby" said Anjali. She looked Shashi and greeted him.

" Khushiji. Where is your bhai ??'asked Anjali.

Khushi looking at Arvind to whom Anjali is facing back said "There he is ..."

Anjali turned and looked at Arvind who stopped seeing her. Both rooted to spot seeing each other.

"Di" called Khushi shooking her.

Anjali came out of her trance as well as Arvind.

"Di. He is.........."Khushi is going to say something but Anjali said "Arvind"

All looked at her puzzled even Arvind too.

"Di. You already knew him ?" asked Arnav confused.

"We both are collegemates" said Arvind looking at her 7 months belly.

All just nodded their heads.

"Oh. So Di, you too studied in Lucknow college" asked Khushi. Anjali nodded her head.

"How are you Anjali ??"asked Arvind.

"Fine. How are you ??"asked Anjali faking a smile. She is feeling uncomfortable to be there.

"Not bad" said Arvind with a sarcasm which didn't go unnoticed by Anjali, Arnav and Khushi.

Arshi could observe the change in their siblings behaviour and facial expressions looking at each other. They felt something fishy. They got images of flashback in their mind as only they knew the past of their siblings.

"Come beta. Let's all have lunch" said Nani. So everyone moved there.

Anjali and Arvind are facing each other. Payal and Khushi serving them.

"Bhai. I made all your favourite food" said Khushi.

"Thank you" said Arvind smiling.

All started with their food but two people can't due to their lost thoughts and awkwardness. Other two pair of eyes are busy observing them.

Khushi is going to serve Arvind a curry when Anjali said without thinking "Khushiji. NO don't serve him that. It contains pea nuts and he is allergic to them."

All looked at her astonished. Anjali realized what she blurted out.

"Woo. We are same college naa. So I know about it" said Anjali stammering avoiding to see their suspicious looks.

"I know Di that Bhai is allergic to pea nuts. So I didn't mix them in any of the dishes" said Khushi.

Anjali faked a smile and all continued with their lunch.

After lunch, all sat in the hall.. Just then landline rang and Nani lifted the call.

She talked for sometime. By hearing her talks, all knew it was from panditji.

"HHBB. Saumaa what did the panditji told ??"asked mami.

"Manorama. He said that there is a good muhurath after two days.." said Nani.

"For what Nani ??'asked Anjali who is unaware of this.

"Anjali bitiya. We are thinking to perform your Godh Bharai. We asked Punditji for a good day" said mami.

"Ha Di. We decided to perform your Godh Bharai in a grand way" said Khushi excitedly.

Anjali smiled to them and looked at Arvind who looked away..

Shashi and Arvind stayed for sometime and left taking leave.

All left to their respective rooms for having a nap.

Nothing much happened that day but Arshi observed a lot of change in Anjali's behaviour. She closed herself in the room. She din't came out for evening coffee. Khushi went and pestered Anjali a lot to have dinner. During dinner, she was lost in her own thoughts.
