Part 63

In the night:

Everything is ready for lakshmi pooja. Arnav came into his room and looked at Khushi who is getting ready. She is wearing a red saree and simple jewellary. (think Khushi in diwali episode guys)

Arnav stood there lost in her. She was looking soo beautiful that he can't take away his eyes from her.

Khushi looked at him who is staring at her without blinking. As she looked at him, he averted his gaze from her and went towards poolside. Khushi went downstairs to attend pooja.

When she went downstairs her father along with Garima and Lavanya came there. She greeted her father and hugged him.

"Let's move for pooja"said Nani and all went into mandir.

Arnav stood thinking about something deeply at the poolside. He suddenly found something shining at the corner. He went near and looked it. it was Khushi's Payal. He took it and put it in his pocket.

"It is here and she is making the whole house updown"thought Arnav.

In downstairs, after pooja they started to lit diyas.

"Khushiji. Where are the new diyas ??'asked Anjali.

Khushi looked all and said "Di. Seems like I forgot them at poolside. I will bring"

She went near poolside where Arnav is standing looking into water. She looked for Diyas but not were there. Then Payal shouted to Khushi that they are at the downstairs only.

Khushi was going but Arnav called her.

"Is pooja over ??"asked Arnav. Khushi nodded her head.

"Come here"said Arnav.

Khushi looked at him wondered but came near him.

"Sit"said Arnav showing a chair.

Khushi confused but sat down on it. Arnav sat down on his knees and took out her Payal from his pocket.

He took her leg and slowly made her wear Payal. Khushi looked at him amusingly. He looked up and both are lost in each other.

Arnav slowly got up without breaking eye contact. Khushi too got up lost in him. he started to move forward while Khushi moved back. This continued for a while until Khushi hit the wall. Arnav came close to her. Khushi breathed heavily. she felt goosebumps in her.

Arnav raised his hands and cupped her face. He looked into her eyes and then at her lips. He bent down to take her lips and Khushi closed her eyes.

They were an inch apart when they heard phone ring.

Both came out of the trance and was startled. Arnav immediately moved away from her. both stood still not knowing how to react. Khushi left from angry on herself for losing control. Arnav was lost in his thoughts literally angry for becoming weak before her.

Khushi came downstairs and all are talking happily.

"Khushiji. Let's go outside. We will lit crackers"said Anjali.

All went out side. Khushi observed NK who is looking disturbed.

"NKji. What happened ??Are you ok ??"asked Khushi.

"Ha NK. You are looking soo dull"asked Anjali.

"I am fine Di. Just having headache"said NK.

"Ok. You go and take rest"said Nani.

NK went from there towards his room.

In Arnav's room:

Arnav is working on his lappy. But he couldn't concentrate on it. he is getting the flashes of which happened before sometime. Frustrated, he closed his eyes keeping his head on the edge of recliner.

He heard a knock at the door.

"Come in" said Arnav. NK entered into the room opening the door.

"NK. What are you doing here ? You are supposed to be at the downstairs naa"said Arnav.

"Arnav. I need to talk something with you"said NK with a stern voice.

Arnav was surprised hearing NK calling him as Arnav. He thought something is serious.

"What happened NK ??"asked Arnav.

"What is this ??"asked NK throwing papers on the table before him.

Arnav took the papers confusingly and read it. He was shocked. They were the divorce papers which he asked for Mr.Roy to prepare. He asked him to deliver in office but he send them to house

"NK. Where did you got them ??"asked Arnav.

"Today Morning Mr.Roy assistant came to give them. You were not there so he handovered them to me."said NK.

Arnav din't say anything.

"What is all this Arnav ??"asked NK seriously.

"NK. This is between me and my wife. There is no need for you to interfere."said Arnav.

"I can't believe this. You are giving divorce to Khushiji. Why ??"asked NK again.

"I have already said NK not to interfere in this matter. It is something which you should not bother. Why does it matters you ??"said Arnav turning other side.

NK went infront of Arnav he held Arnav's collar angrily and said" It matters to me because you are going to ruin the life an innocent girl whom I consider as my sister. It matters to me because of your decision this whole family gets shattered whom I consider as my own." then leaving his collar said "Did you even thought of consequences after you leave Khushiji ?? Di, Nani and everyone can't take it... What about Khushiji ?? I know she would have agreed for it. Is n't it ?? Because for her, your happiness matters more than hers.... Did you thought about Shashiji who is very satisfied thinking that his daughter is happy with her husband. Do you think he will take it ??Did you ever thought that Khushiji have to go into that hell again where those vultures who are her step mom and step sister won't even leave a chance of hurting her. When she was not married they tortured her a lot but now when you leave her, did you thought for once how they treat her........ Did you ever thought of this society who never leaves a chance of taunting an alone woman ??"

NK looked at Arnav who is having tears in his eyes. He softed down a bit.

"Nannav. Please I know you love Khushiji a lot. But why are doing this ?? Now by seeing your tears I think there is a big reason behind it. Say me"said NK.

Arnav din't say anything.

"Khushiji too loves you a lot nannav. Please don't do this. You are not only hurting her but you are also broken inside. I can see it" said NK.

Still Arnav stood not saying anything.

Suddenly NK took Arnav's hand, put on his head and said "Tum ke meri kasam nannav ( You have my swear)"

Arnav looked at NK shocked.

"Why nannav ?? Why are doing this ??"asked NK.

Arnav sat with a thud on the bed with tears in his eyes and said "Because I don't deserve her NK. I cheated her. I am very bad."

"What are you saying nannav ??"asked NK confused.

"Let me explain you clearly. Do you remember the party night ?? That day after I sent Khushi from there. I took a drink feeling thirsty. I don't know what happened to me after drinking it. May be I took the wrong drink. I felt my head is spinning when someone hold me. I didn't remember anything what happened after that. I lastly heard someone calling me ASR. Next morning when I woke up, I was in the hotel room and I....was naked. I was shocked and tried to remember what happened but what I remember is only me crossing limits with a girl."said Arnav.

NK shocked to hear this and said "What have you done Nannav ??"

Arnav was crying and NK sat beside him.

"Who is that girl ??"asked NK.

"I don't know. I didn't remember her face. I tried to recollect but can't. I even tried to know about girl from hotel but nobody knows about it."said Arnav.

NK thought for a while and said "You could have seen in the cctv footage or you could have asked any of the hotel staff"

"I tried for that too. But to my bad luck, the cameras in that corridor didn't worked that day and no one knows who allotted the room except the manager and he too was on leave for few days"said Arnav.

NK sat silently not knowing what to do.

" Now say me NK what I have to do ?? What happens when Khushi comes to know about this ?? What if she hates me ?? NO I can't take it. I can't see hate for me in her eyes. Also I deceived her. I don't derserve her"said Arnav crying badly.

NK is feeling helpless seeing his brother's state. He had never seen him in such a vulnerable state.

"Nannav. Please don't cry. I think we should say this to Khushiji. She will understand."said NK.

"No NK. No wife can take it that her husband spending night with other woman." said Arnav.

"But nannav........"NK was going to say something.

"NK. Please don't try to convince me. I took a right decision. It will be good for me and Khushi. I will make her future safe and secure. I will always be there for her "said Arnav.

NK stood up to go, went towards the door, turned and asked "Nannav. Will u be able to live without Khushiji ??"

"I don't know"said Arnav gulping his throat.

NK left from there silently determining to do something. He can't let leave his nannav and Khushi like this.

But unknown to them, the two devils heard their conversation. Lavanya who came at poolside to take crackers and Sheetal who is passing by Arnav's room.

"Let's see ASR. How I am taking advantage of this situation ??"thought and smirked both evily.
