Part 3

That night:

Khushi is in her room seeing stars , deeply engrossed in her thoughts about Arnav. She saw her hands. The mehendi on her hand is very red and beautiful. She looked at her hand and remembered what her neighbourhood said. Seeing her mehendi, susheela said" Khushi. Your mehendi is soo beautiful and became very red. This indicates that your husband loves you a lot" Khushi smiled hearing this then. She remembered the innocent face of Arnav.

Then she heard a door knock and saw Shashi standing there. Khushi smiled to him.

"Come in papa. Why are you standing there ?"said Khushi. Shashi came near took her hands in his and said" I am sorry bitiya. Because of me you have to sacrifice your life"

"Papa plz. Don't say like that. It is not your fault. Whatever happens in our life, it is devimayya's wish. We should accept it. Plz don't think because of you my life spoiled"said Khushi.

Shashi wiped off her tears and said" Bitiya I want to say something to you" Khushi nodded her head.

Shashi started" Arnav is really a nice man. For outer world he is rude and Arrogant but I have seen him from close. What I know is Arnav is a nice person who loves his family a lot.

When Arnav was fourteen, on the day of Anjali's marriage, Arnav's mother committed suicide because Arnav's father had an illicit relation with another woman. Thinking that he was sole responsible for her death, his father too committed suicide. Anjali's marriage stopped. After their parent's death, his chachu threw them out of the house.

Then his Nani and mamu took them to their house. from then Arnav became rude. He completed his degree from Harvard. After he returned from London, he established AR. He strived hard to bring it no.1 position. All is well and everyone is happy until that person came into their life."

"Who papa ?"asked Khushi confusingly.

Shashi sighed and said"Shyam". Khushi looked at him wide eye. Shashi nodded his head and continued " One day Anjali brought Shyam to home and said to family that she loves him. Shyam too acted infront of them. Arnav and others with out even thinking accepted for marriage. Shyam also said he only shift to RM for Anjali's sake as she can't live with out her family. All thought he was really a nice person. But the truth is he married Anjali bitiya only for her money. He is a womanizer. His sister tried to seduce Arnav so that she could marry Arnav and take his property but ASR is ASR who never fells for any girl. No one in RM knows about him.

One day Arnav came to know about his jijaji. So he asked me to spy on him as he believes me a lot. I keep an eye on him and collected all proofs against him, gave them to Arnav. That day he was going home to expose that Shyam infront of his family. That is when his accident happened and Arnav became like this. Then Shyam came and threatened me to keep quiet otherwise I have to face severe consequences. He came to know that Arnav and me are spying on him... He was responsible for Arnav's accident and his condition now. For taking revenge on me, he imposed a mistake of others on me in office which now resulted in your marriage with Arnav. "Khushi looked at him shocked and was engrossed in her thoughts.

"What are you thinking about bitiya ?"asked Shashi.

"Nothing papa. Thinking about Arnavji. He has to undergo soo much in his life"said Khushi. Shashi nodded his head.

Then taking Khushi's hands into his, Shashi said" Khushi. I don't understand to feel happy for you getting married to Arnav or to feel sad you are getting married to him in this situation. If every thing would have been fine, then I would be very happy for you getting married to Arnav"

"One more thing"said Shashi. Khushi looked at him questioningly.

" Be care ful with that Shyam beta. He would doubt because you are my daughter and thought I would have said about him to you.. Also I didn't like his gaze towards you. So you take care of yourself and also Arnav." Said Shashi.

"Don't worry papa. I will take care of everything"said Khushi. Then Shashi left from there.

Next morning:

Marriage is taking place in a mandir which is far away from city. Shaadi ka joda was sent to Khushi's house.

In RM, Arnav was in his room when Akash came there.

"Bhai"said Akash. Arnav looked at him and smiled. Akash came near him, gave a packet and said"Bhai. Wear this."

Arnav opened the packet and saw a new red shervani.

" New dress. Is this for me"asked Arnav elited.

"Yes Bhai. This is for you"said Akash.

"This is beautiful. Thank you Akash"said Arnav and hugged Akash. He too reciprocated for the hug smiling.. Anjali along with mami came there and saw both the brothers hugging each other.

"What happened?'said Anjali. They both saw Anjali and mami at the door.

Arnav went near Anjali said excitedly" Di. See Akash brought new dress for me. This is beautiful"

Anjali smiled to him. Arnav asked" Di. Why today new dress. Is there any festival?"

"No chote. Today is your marriage"said Anjali.

"Yeh kya hota hai (What is this marriage means ??)" asked Arnav.

"Chote after your marriage you get a good friend. You saw Khushi. You are going to marry her. She will be your wife. Like me and your jiju, Akash and Payal, you both would be wife and husband" said Anjali.

"She will play with me"asked Arnav.

"Ha Bhai. She will play with you , take care of you very well, becomes your good friend"said Akash.

"Ok then. I will marry Khushi"said Arnav.

Later Anjali consoled and made him understand not to trouble anyone there and to do whatever pandit says.

In GH, Garima and Lavanya saw the marriage attire, jewellary of Khushi and felt jealous of her. When she came out of room getting ready, she was looking stunningly beautiful. Khushi took blessings from Shashi. He became emotional seeing his daughter. Then they moved to mandir.

In mandir when Khushi arrived Raizadas have already came. They saw Khushi who is looking like an angel.

"Khushiji. You are looking soo beautiful"said Anjali. Khushi smiled to her.

Then the pandit started wedding rituals. Anjali made Khushi sit beside him. Arnav smiled to her to which she too reciprocated. Anjali tied the knot to them. Shashi did kanyadhan. Then they took pheras. Arnav tied mangalsutra in Khushi's neck and filled vermillion in her head. He did everything as pandit said to him with out a word as his Di already instructed him to do as pandit says.

Arnav and Khushi took blessings from elders as said by pandit. After that Bidaai. Khushi hugged her father and cried. Shashi too cried. Khushi said him to take care of him, to take his medicines with out missing. Seeing there father daughter bond, tears welled up in others eyes too.

After that they started to RM. Khushi and Arnav in one car , others in another car. Khushi was crying in the car thinking about her papa. Arnav saw her. He didn't know what to do. So he extended his hand kerchief to her.

Khushi saw him and took it, wiped her tears. Arnav asked her"Why are you crying ? what happened ?"

Khushi didn't say anything.

"You miss your papa"asked Arnav cutely. Khushi nodded her head.

"Ok then if you miss your papa, go to him. I will say driver to turn the car"said Arnav and was going say to driver when Khushi stopped him and said" No don't do that. Now I am married. I should stay where you stay. I am fine"

Arnav didn't say anything. Khushi wiped her tears and sat normal. Arnav didn't know what to say.

He never consoled anyone who is crying. so he asked" How is my dress ?"
Khushi looked at him and said" Good"

"Akash brought it for me. this is new dress"said Arnav proudly. Khushi smiled to him.

"You look good when you smile"said Arnav. Khushi felt happy as well as shy for his comment.

"Besides your dress is also nice. You are also looking beautiful in this dress"said Arnav.

"Thank you Arnavji"said Khushi.

"Arnavji!!"said Arnav"Why are you calling me like that ?"

"You are my husband naa. So I call you like that"said Khushi.

Then again Khushi asked" Arnavji. Say me about your likes and dislikes" Arnav started to say her everything about his likes and dislikes. Khushi is listening to him amusingly. Soon they both became comfortable with each other. When they were engrossed in their talks, they didn't recognized RM came.

The car stopped and they both got down. Anjali did haarti to them, then she put a kalash infront of her and said her to tap it and enter. Khushi entered the house but Arnav is standing behind.

"Chote what happened ? come in"said Anjali.

"Di. Put that too for me. I will also tap it and enter into the house"said Arnav innocently.

Anjali smiled a little and said"No chote. Only Khushi should do this. she is our bahu naa. Also she is coming first time into the house" Arnav agreed to it with dissatisfaction.

Anjali led them both to mandir and they took blessings from devimayya. Then they all came and sat in the hall started to talk with Khushi.

"Di I am feeling sleepy"said Arnav.

"Ok. Let's go"said Anjali and took Khushi too along with her.
