Part 15

Payal was setting bed in her room when she heard a door knock. She looked at Khushi standing there.

Payal signaled her to come in. Khushi sat on the bed and Payal sat beside her.

"Khushi. Are you ok ?"asked Payal in a concerning tone. Khushi nodded her head.

"Do you want something ?"asked Payal.

"I came here to say sorry for you "said Khushi. Payal looked at her confusingly.

"Woo today is valentine's day. Akashji and you must have planned something but it spoiled due to this accident. I am sorry on the behalf of Arnavji"said Khushi.

Payal hit Khushi's head slightly and said"pagal. How could you think like that Khushi ? How can we be happy while our family is in pain ? Do you think we are selfish people ?"asked Payal.

"I am sorry"said Khushi with lowering her head.

Payal lifted her chin and said" It's ok but remember one thing. Arnavji is first my jetji before your husband. Did you get that ?"

Khushi nodded her head. Then Payal continued and said" Do you know Khushi I and Akash both loved each other. But maaji is against our marriage as I am from a middle class. Everyone in the house tried to convince her but no one succeed. I thought that I lost my Akash permanently. But it was Arnavji who convinced maaji. Don't know how but he made maaji accept for marriage. From the day I came into this house, he always stood by me as a elder brother. I can do more than this for him"

Payal looked at Khushi who is looking happy to hear about Arnav.

"Why don't you sleep here ?"asked Payal.

"No. It's ok. I will move to my room"said Khushi and left from there.

Khushi went into her room. Sleep is far away from her. She is thinking deeply about her life from the childhood.

When she was two years old, her mother died. Relatives forced her father for second marriage. He doesn't want to but thinking about Khushi's future, he accepted because it is essential that a girl should have a mother. Then he was married to Garima. But she doesn't like Khushi a bit. She would be pretending before Shashi that she used to take care of her a lot while reality is far from it. After two years, Lavanya was born. From then her partiality was more. She just hates Khushi. If Lavanya commits a mistake, Garima won't say anything but if Khushi commits a mistake she would be given a severe punishment. Few years have gone like this. even Lavanya too started hating her as Khushi is praised by all. She would be first in the class. Shashi too noticed Garima's changing behaviour towards Khushi. When Shashi asked Garima she spit her venom on Khushi. Shashi could do nothing but regret his decision of marrying her. Khushi completed her graduation with their accusations and ill treatment. She was in search of job when Arnav's alliance came to her. Khushi was well known for her patience.

But after marriage she is happy and fell in love with Arnav. But now he didn't remember her. It is causing her more hurt but she knows her devimayya will never deceive her

Don't know why her heart is saying something bad is going to happen to night. She prayed her devimayya to keep Arnav safe and secure.

With these thoughts she drifted into sleep.

In the hospital, it was midnight. Arnav is sleeping on the bed while Akash and NK are sleeping on the sofa.

Arnav jerked from sleep hearing a noise. He saw Akash and NK sleeping soundly. He looked the room and thought it must be his hallucination. He couldn't sleep and started thinking how he must be these two years. suddenly his thoughts drifted towards Khushi.

Why is she more concerned for him ? He can see in her eyes how much he cares for him. Care!! Not care more than that. Is he close with her ? He wanted to see her more and more. What the ... why am I thinking about her. Suddenly he felt something weird and opened his eyes only to get shock. A person was standing there with a knife . he was going to pierce his knife on him when Arnav hold his hand. They both had a struggle for sometime. Arnav shouted for akash and NK holding the person.

Hearing Arnav's voice, Akash and NK too got up. They switched on the lights.They saw a person covered with blanket standing there with a knife in his hand.

Even before they came out of shock, the person ran away from there making Arnav hurt. NK ran after the person.

"Bhai. Are you ok ?"asked Akash in a concerned tone.

"Yes Akash."said Arnav.

"Bhai. Your hand is bleeding "said Akash showing his hand. That is when Arnav realized his hand was hurt.

Akash called doctor immediately. Doctor came and checked Arnav. He dressed his wound. NK came with a fallen face.

"Sorry nannav. I followed him but he missed"said NK.

"It's Ok NK. We would inform police. I am not going to leave him"said Akash. NK nodded his head and kept the thing which he found while chasing the person in his hands safely into his pocket.

Next morning:

IN RM:

Khushi did morning pooja. Arrangements are going to welcome Arnav. Khushi went to Payal's room but stopped on her way hearing Payal voice.

"Akash what are you saying ? Someone tried to kill Arnavji"said Payal astonished.

"Payal"came a voice from behind.

Hearing her name Payal turned and looked at Khushi who is at the door shocked.

"What did you say in the phone ?"asked Khushi in a frightened tone

"Nothing Khushi"said Payal.

"Don't lie. I heard everything"said Khushi. Payal stood not knowing what to say.

"Someone attacked Arnavji ?"asked Khushi.

"ha Khushi. Akash called me now. Yesterday night someone tried to kill Arnavji.They tried but couldn't catch the person. But Arnavji is fine now"said Payal.

"Did Arnavji got hurt ?"asked Khushi panicked.

Payal nodded her head and said" but it's just small injury"

"But Akash asked me not to say anyone in the house. They will feel tense. Also Now Di is pregnant. She can't take it"said Payal.

"I understand "said Khushi.

They both went down hearing Nani voice calling them.

IN the hospital, Akash went to fill formalities. NK is along with Arnav.

"NK. Form how many days is that girl staying in our house ?"asked Arnav.

"Who ?"asked NK.

"wahi. That girl Nani's friends grand daughter"said Arnav hesitatingly.

"Khushiji. She is living form past six months. She is very nice person"

"How was I from the past two years ?"asked Arnav.

NK said" Forget it nannav. Don't think too much"

"NK say me"said Arnav seriously. NK explained him how he would be behaving as a child.

Arnav looked at him with wide eye.

"What the !!!!!!!!"asked Arnav. NK nodded his head.

"I can't believe this "said Arnav.

"But you have to believe it nannav. You used to bother me a lot. "said NK.

Then Akash came there.

"Bhai. Let's go. I filled all formalities."said Akash.

"Akash. I have to say something to you both"said Arnav. Both of them looked at Arnav.

"Don't tell about yesterday's incident to anyone in the house"said Arnav.

"I Know bhai. I already said Payal not to say anyone"said Akash.

"What!!!!!! You already said to Payal"asked Arnav.

"Haan bhai. I can't hide anything from her "said Akash blushing. Arnav rolled off his eyes.

The trio left from the hospital.
