Part 14

Khushi was shocked to hear this. She couldn't believe her Arnavji asking who is she. Others are no less.

Anjali was going to say but the doctor signaled her not to. So she stopped.

"All of you go out. He needs rest"said Doctor. All of them went out. Arnav is still seeing Khushi with confusion. He could see the pain and concern for him in her eyes.

Outside the room Anjali asked" Doctor. Why did you stop us from saying chote Khushiji is his wife ?"

"I know Mrs.Jha. but ASR gained his memory now only. Already he is thinking that he is two years back. We have to clear it now. We don't know how he will react if we says about it. If we give any pressure to him, there is a chance he might go into coma"said doctor. All gasped hearing this.

Then the doctor went inside to say Arnav about his two years behaviour. All are observing Arnav and doctor from the glass door.

Doctor is explaining him. Arnav's expression changed from confusion to surprise.

After sometime, doctor came out. All went near him.

"I said to ASR only that he lost his memory. I didn't say anything how he used to behave like that all. He needs rest."said doctor.

All nodded him and doctor went away.

All once looked at Khushi who is standing at the corner. She was lost in his world. Tears are continuously flowing from her eyes.

All of them felt sorry for her. Anjali for the first time, regretted her decision for making her marry to her chote.

Anjali went near her,placed her hand on Khushi's shoulder.

"Khushiji"called Anjali feebly.

Khushi looked at her and hugged her.

"Di. Arnavji is not recognizing me"said Khushi crying.

"shhh Khushiji. Don't cry. Everything will be ok. As soon as chote recovers completely well, I will definitely say him"said Anjali. Khushi nodded her head.

They all sat there until Arnav wakes up. When the nurse informed them that Arnav woke up.

Arnav was sitting on the bed and thinking deeply when the family entered.

"Chote"came Anjali and all others. Khushi too was with them.

"Di. Is it true what Doctor said ? I lost my memory."asked Arnav. Anjali nodded her head.

" Then how would have I behaved ?"asked Arnav.

"Chote. We can talk about all that later"said Anjali. Arnav nodded his head and still looked at Khushi confusing.

Seeing her examining Khushi, Anjali said" Chote. She is our relative. Nani's friends grand daughter .She is living in our house from few days."

Arnav nodded his head and asked " But where is her husband ?" All looked at him puzzled. Then they remembered Arnav would have seen Khushi's mangalsutra and sindoor.

"woo her husband is out of country. So until he comes back, she will live in our house. "said Anjali. Arnav didn't say anything.

"But Di then..........."Arnav was going to say something.

"Uffo nannav. Why are asking too much questions ? You should not stress yourself"said NK.

"Ha bhai. NK bhai is right. You should not stress"said akash.

"Ok. Akash I need the progress report of AR in these two years. I need to study them"said Arnav.

"NOOOOOOO"said Anjali.

"What happened Di ?"asked Arnav.

"Chote. What do you think of yourself ? You are not still fine. You want to work. I am not going to allow it. You are going to take rest for somedays."said Anjali.

"But DI..."said Arnav.

"That's final"said Anjali.

"Di. It is not his fault. ASR can't live without his first wife naa. Already he missed it for two years"said NK.

Arnav gave a deathly glare to NK and said" Shut up"

"Ok. Now NK and akash will stay here. All of us let go to home"said Nani.

"No Nani. I will be with chote"said Anjali.

"No Anjali bitiya. From morning you are here. It is not good for your health"said Nani.

"Health!! Di what happened ? Are you ok ?"asked Arnav fearing.

" I am fine chote"said Anjali blushing slightly.

"Then why did Nani say "asked Arnav.

"It is because Chote you are going to be mama soon"said Nani.

Arnav looked at Anjali. She nodded her head shyly.

"Wow Di. Congrats"said Arnav"OK now you go to house."

"Ok baba. I am going "said Anjali and others too left to house. NK and Akash are present along with Arnav.

Khushi is silent spectator of whole scene. She observed Shyam and sheetal who is fuming in anger.

On the way to hospital, Anjali observed Khushi being silent but didn't say anything. She knew Khushi needs time.

After reaching home, Nani called Khushi.

"Khushi bitiya.......woo"stammered Nani.

"I know what are you trying to say. Don't worry. I am going to remove all my things from Arnavji's room"said Khushi.

Nani came near Khushi" I am sorry bitiya"

"No Nani. No need to say sorry. It's not your fault. I know one day Arnavji will definitely accept me"said Khushi.

Nani kissed her forehead.

Anjali said" I will say HP to clean guest room" Khushi nodded her head and went upstairs.

While Khushi is going, Nani said" Very strong girl. Bahut samajdhar hai. Chote is very lucky" Anjali nodded her head in approval.

Khushi went upstairs, she closed the door and collapsed crying.

"Why devimayya ? Why always this happens to me ? Why do Arnavji forget me ? "sat Khushi crying.

She cried for a while but wiped her tears and consoled her self saying" No. I should not cry like that. I have faith in devimayya. Whatever she do's is for my goodness only. But I should feel happy that I am staying under the same roof where Arnavji lives. I can see him daily."

After that she removed all her belongings from Arnav's room. Anjali came there.

"Khushiji"said Anjali.

Khushi looked at Anjali. By seeing her, Anjali knew she cried a lot. So she came near her and said" I am sorry Khushiji"

"No need for you to be sorry Di. it's all my fate"said Khushi.

"Plz Khushiji don't say like that. I promise you as soon as chote recovers completely, I will definitely say him"said Anjali. Khushi nodded her head.

" I asked HP to clean beside room."said Anjali. Khushi didn't say anything.

"There is an interconnection to poolside in that room so that you can see always my Chote"said Anjali. Khushi smiled lightly.

Khushi looked lastly at the room and went into beside guest room. Anjali helped her in arranging everything

Anjali said" Now I have to change chote's room to it's old form"

"Old form"said Khushi confusingly.

"Ha Khushiji. Do you think chote would like room like this ? He likes his room only in two color black and white. He won't like if it would be in color. Also until now you have seen him wearing different colors but from now you will see only black. Ok now let's go"said Anjali and took Khushi with her. Anjali started to make Arnav's room as before saying Khushi about his every like and dislike.

After that Anjali and Khushi went downstairs for dinner. Akash and NK are still in the hospital.

"Di. Akash called me. Doctor said they will discharge Arnavji tomorrow morning"said Payal.

All had their dinner and went into their respective rooms.
