"No Daddy I'm not going"

Sanyukta sighed hearing her daughter's stubborn voice from the other room. She was tempted to get up from the seat and march into her daughter's room. She quickly shut her laptop and stood up from her seat.

"Mumma?"

She looked down and smiled looking at her two year daughter. She looked so pretty in those small gloves and beautiful flower dress. She had her father's eyes but her nose and that pouty lips matched her mother. Her daughter was holding the small spatula in her hand that had chocolate cream on it.

"Rai why are you holding this? Randhir!"

Sanyukta called out for her husband. She just needed some time away and the house turned into hell. She bent down and picked her daughter and scooped her in her arms.

"Mumma see this?" Railyn held the spatula and pointed at the cream.

"Sanyukta! Hey Rai" Randhir looked at Sanyukta then at his daughter Railyn. She giggled looking at him.

"Come here Rai"

Randhir held his hands for her and she instantly leaned in to him.

"What is she doing with spatula, Randhir?" Sanyukta glared at her husband.

Randhir smiled sheepishly. He should have handled them just like she does but they were really handful.

"We were trying to make cake and Railyn and Rayn also joined Ahana and Reyansh. It was going well until Rai put her hand into Ana's sprinkles bowl and ate few." Randhir playfully gave a glare at his daughter who just snuggled closer to him. He loved his children equally but his daughter Ana is top most in that department.

"I'll talk to Ana and please try to minimize the mess in kitchen." Sanyukta said.

"Mumma!" She heard the voice from downstairs. Panicked she looked at Randhir who mirrored her expression.

They both rushed downstairs and into the kitchen.

"What happened Rey?" Sanyukta asked her elder son eyeing her both sons who were seated on the kitchen counter top and had their faces smeared with cream.

"Mumma Rayn put cream on my face" Rey complained pointing an accusing finger at her brother. Sanyukta sighed.

Rayn and Railyn were the naughtiest kids of the four and they really did create trouble for their sister and brother. She picked Rayn from the counter top and looked at his cream smeared hand and turned towards Randhir.

Randhir tried to crack a smile. He should have never thought of baking cake with kids. Well that was written in the Parent Guide book but the book actually was for single kid so he could exactly not blame them. He had promised Sanyukta that he would give her the time she needed to write her final draft.

Yes Sanyukta was now a writer. She had started writing short pregnancy tales while her pregnancy time and that came out to be a best seller. She had included her personal experiences which made the book even more interesting. She was actually writing the guide for healthy pregnancy. After doing lots of research and taking advices from Vidhushi who also delivered Rayn and Railyn, she started to write another book.

"Rey, Ana I want the kitchen to be cleaned. No excuses." Sanyukta gave them one stern look and walked towards the washroom to clean Rayn. Randhir took the spatula from Railyn and placed it on the kitchen top and followed Sanyukta.

"Rayn! Stay still honey" Sanyukta said softly to her son while washing his dirty hands in the washbasin. It was really difficult to parent four kids.

"What are you thinking?" Sanyukta asked turning towards her husband who had a distant look on his face.

It was almost midnight and all the kids were sleeping peacefully in their rooms. After that Randhir and Sanyukta retired to their room and made sweet love.

"I'm thinking that we should take a vacation. It's been long time sweetheart and well I need to spend some more time with you all"

Sanyukta snuggled closer to his side and looked at him. He had been busy this month with his office.

"Make plans then. I'll draft that last chapter tomorrow and give it to my editor." Sanyukta said kissing him on his right shoulder.

"We should ask Rey and Ahana about it. Let them pick the destination"

"Okay. Talk to them tomorrow."

Sanyukta yawned. It was a really long day. She cursed herself for giving their housekeeper a leave today. Well after cleaning the kitchen and changing Railyn and Rayn's clothes she baked a cake while all others watched some cartoon.

Sanyukta smiled looking at everyone sitting in the dining table. She was glad that everyone was ready to have breakfast. She already prepared the breakfast for them.

"Mumma why are you eating pickle with pancakes?" Ahana questioned looking at her mother. Rey also looked at his mother questioningly.

"Oh my god!" Randhir groaned looking at Sanyukta. He hoped it was not what he was thinking. He had seen this twice, had experienced it twice and it was all coming back. How did he not notice his wife's cranky mood and sexual appetite?

"Rayn sit here, okay?" Randhir got up from his seat and placed his son in his chair. Rayn nodded at him showing his perfect small white teeth.

"Rey look after them. I'll just be back" Randhir said whispering in his son's ear to which his son nodded. Reyansh was the sensible one of the kids and well he could manage up to some extent.

"Sanyukta"

Randhir indicated her to join him to which she stood up and followed him to the living room. As soon as they were away from the dining area Randhir turned towards her.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

She flinched at his tone.

"I...I.."

"When were you planning to tell me?" Randhir asked angrily before she could complete her sentence. She should have told him before.

"See this is why I didn't tell you." Sanyukta said tears started forming in her eyes. Randhir mentally slapped himself. He had experience and he should have better kept his mouth shut than yelling at a pregnant woman.

"No..No baby I'm happy." Randhir hugged his wife. She snuggled closer to him.

"I wanted to surprise you tonight." Sanyukta mumbled in his chest.

"I'm sorry for ruining your surprise. When did you find out?" Randhir asked her while caressing her hair. She seemed calm and there was no hint of sniffling which meant she had stopped crying.

"Today morning I took a test."

"Aren't the kits like two years old? I mean they can also be inaccurate."

Sanyukta pulled away from him and her expression paled. The kit are old and well the results could be wrong but she actually liked the idea of carrying his another child.

"I think we should go to Vidhushi" Sanyukta said looking at him. He nodded at her.

"Hey Vidhushi" Sanyukta said as soon as she sat down in one of the seats. Randhir settled beside her.

"Hi. The reports are here Sanyukta." Vidhushi said pushing forward the reports towards them. Randhir and Sanyukta did not dare touch that in the fear.

"What are the results?" Randhir asked meekly looking at her.

"Shekawat have you ever heard of protection? Ofcourse she's pregnant!" Vidhushi said teasing Randhir.

Sanyukta smiled. A full blown smile. She turned towards Randhir who had the same expression as hers. She hugged him. They were going to be parents again.

Marriage is a sacred bond. The bond that they fulfilled. They had their fights, arguments but the unconditional love made it easy to sustain the bond.
