CHAPTER 27: HEARTBEAT
The next day she woke up when the sun shone into the room, the early morning light was not very harsh, but instead was gentle and somewhat warm. Her sister was still sleeping soundly over there, covered with a blanket. She sat on the bed, her dreamy eyes still not fully awake, remembering the dream last night made her smile, a certain emotion rose up in her heart. Is that love? Or a thunderbolt of love?
Sabrina gently got out of bed, went to the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face, the cool, iridescent water running through her fingers. She looked at her reflection in the large mirror placed in front of her, her expression today was not bad, it seemed to be fresher.
Thanks to last night dinner? She wondered, then clicked her tongue. Well, anyway, the look is fresher, so that's good. She changed and walked over to the armchair, picked out a book and started reading.
Every now and then she would look out the window, it was only half past seven in the morning, the sunlight was still soft. Far away, the birds sang in the early morning like a joyful choir, the book in her hand gave off a faint fragrance that only traditional paper books have, today although electronic books are popular. and is popular with many people, but she is still loyal to paper books. For her, there is something traditional and special about paper books that she absolutely loves.
There was a knock on the door, she put down the book she was reading and opened the door. The door opened and Devan was standing there, wearing a black hoodie today, still sneakers and jeans, he said:
"I came up here to say that Collins finished breakfast, you better come down before it gets cold."
"What about my sister, will she eat later?"
She glanced at her sister, asking.
"Yes, your sister will eat later. Just let her sleep, don't wake her, it will make her upset."
He smiled brightly when he replied to her, that smile made her immobile for a few seconds, she nodded and went downstairs with him.
[...]
"Is Syrena still asleep?"
Collins asked as she stepped down. She replied:
"Yes, she's still asleep."
"Then the three of us can eat first and then I can serve it to the little girl later."
After that, he went back to the kitchen to bring breakfast for the three of them. This morning, with the gentle sunshine and the pleasant chirping of birds outside, three people were enjoying breakfast and chatting happily.
Collins opens:
"Hey Sabrina, don't think of those tiny dust particles as sand and throw away the whole glass of water. It's a waste, I bet if you didn't listen to me, you would have thrown it away a long time ago."
Then he pointed to the glass of water beside her, a glass of water with a pale orange color and particles like sand. She still remembered the name of this water, a special kind of water called "Stardust." No wonder why she was so impressed with it.
