CHAPTER 17: CURIOUS
She lay face down on the pillow that was inflated with too many feathers, then turned over again, her eyes on her sister's bed, who was sleeping soundly, her breathing light as air. In the quiet blackness of an English night, the moonlight with its silvery light shone through the window glass, through the thin curtain into the sisters' room, creating a very strange shape.
She lay in bed thinking about it, once again it seemed that the god of sleep had not come to find her. Suddenly two verses from nowhere flashed through her mind like two sparks of electricity.
"I accidentally met you
Then accidentally miss..."
She suddenly sat up, what do those two verses mean? Why is it engraved on the cabinet door, and still in such a conspicuous position? Why the word "accidentally?"
Could it be that there used to be a certain love boy who lived here before?
For some reason, she gently got out of bed, put her feet in soft cotton slippers, reached for the candle beside her, the candlelight flickered in the small room. She opened the door, the sound of the door as usual still made that annoying sound, she involuntarily turned to look at him and saw that it just turned around, breathing lightly.
She held the candle in her hand, as light as a kitten, she quickly snuck out of the room, closing the heavy door behind her.
[...]
The hallway was dark and deserted. She stood there, noticing the silver moonlight from the window behind her, and reflected on the wood, creating a long eerie streak of light. She frowned, what does that mean? But on closer inspection, the light seemed to shine directly into a certain room, which, according to her memory, was the room her sisters discovered yesterday - the room with the broken window glass.
She shivered involuntarily. Then, with courage and blood of curiosity, she gripped the candle tightly in her hand and followed the silver trail, cautiously and slowly. Her footsteps were faster than usual tonight, soon she was standing in front of that room, without hesitation, she pushed open the door and entered. Under the flickering candlelight and moonlight, still a pile of broken glass lying untidy, she didn't pay much attention and quickly walked past and approached the large wooden cabinet. That poem is still here, a poem with four short sentences but must have some meaning in it.
Sabrina decided to take a dose. She put her hand on the cabinet door about to open it, when a voice behind her made her heart stop and turn around.
