CHAPTER 16: THE FOUR SEASONS FIELD
Looks like grandparents still don't know anything. Today, after lunch, he did exactly as he promised: took Syrena and Sabrina out to the Four Seasons field to give them some fresh air, he was afraid to go in the evening for fear that he would be unlucky to meet must be stormy like the other day.
The Four Seasons field is more than 10 kilometers from the villa, so it is best to go at noon. The weather here is not too hot even though it's summer but it's only cold, so even if we go at noon, the three of us still have warm clothes, scarves, and boots.
About seventeen kilometers away, the field appeared in front of them, a large field with immense green lawn that seemed to stretch to infinity. The wind blew from afar, causing the leaves to flutter, a few leaves fluttering in the gentle breeze to the three of them.
He told the two children to play as they please because it was noon, the storm would not come like the day before. Her sisters and sisters ran hand in hand in the vast field, each one laughing in amusement.
Syrena trotted ahead, turned her head and said to her:
"Hurry up Sabrina, hurry up hurry up"
Sabrina ran after her sister, the wind blowing her hair, and she tried to keep up with her. When she caught up, she grabbed the hem of her shirt, panting.
"Jesus! You are so fast."
She giggled and was about to hold her hand to drag her away, but suddenly stopped, her eyes looked behind her and shouted:
"Grandfather."
She turned around and saw her grandfather walking slowly towards her, walking a little hard and slow because he was old anyway. He smiled kindly and asked:
"Did you have some fun and some fresh air?"
"So many fresh air grandpa. I love it."
Syrena answered excitedly. About two hours later, after running and chasing each other, the three of them slowly walked hand in hand back to the villa.
[...]
By the time they got there, it was already getting dark, Syrena took off her coat and boots and threw herself into the furry armchair and curled up, her eyes starting to dim. She stepped into the bathroom briefly with hot water and put on a thick, cream-colored nightgown with unique embroidered patterns.
There was a soft knock on the door, she was startled to open it to see Syrena standing there, her hair disheveled, she rubbed her eyes with her hand and said:
"I'm so sleepy, I won't eat dinner."
She said "yeah" for an hour and then led her into her room and took out her pajamas and told her to go instead it would be much more comfortable to wear pajamas anyway. Syrena refused at first, looking annoyed, but then reluctantly grabbed the clothes and walked into the bathroom.
The girl came out, wearing a blue nightgown with a bunny image printed in the middle of the shirt, Sabrina took the T-shirt she gave her in her hand, folded it up and put it in a corner, tomorrow morning. I took it home and put it in the washing machine, but it's too late now. She put her sister to bed, she fainted and immediately fell asleep, she thought to herself that maybe it was because she ran too hard in the afternoon, so it took a lot of energy, leading to fatigue and drowsiness.
She thought so and pulled the blanket back for him, she herself wasn't hungry so she turned off the light, climbed into bed and closed her eyes.
