Zakula Manor

3rd Person P.O.V- It was a regular thing to bring work home for the GA Crew. If they weren't working on a solo project, they'd all be rooming at Zak's place and using the dining room as HQ. Papers, books and laptops taking up most of the tables surface as they did extensive research on their next location as well as made sure all their equipment is in working order.

Zak- After a couple hours of research on a few possible locations, I get up and stretch then head upstairs to my office to grab a couple files.

Aaron- We notice Zak disappears upstairs, but know better than to question the odd behavior.

Billy- Our brother returns in a matter of minutes, a stack of files in his hands. (Raises Eyebrow)

Dakota- We all stop working and glance up at Zak giving him our full attention.

Jay- Eyeing our brother wearily. "What's that you got?"

Zak- Looking down at the files in my hand. "Well, we've done research for hours now and don't get me wrong some of the locations are interesting."

Aaron- We could tell his anxiety suddenly got the best of him. (Chuckles Lightly) "Out with it brother."

Zak- I quickly pass them the files. "A few weeks ago, I had a dream or a vision if you will of being in a mine." Pausing briefly to take in their reactions and they all snort an snicker as well as chuckle or laugh. (Rolls Eyes) "I know we've investigated a few mines, but we haven't been to this one." I sit back down, trying to keep still but to no avail.

Billy- I'll be the first to admit we were acting a bit childish. "Alright, I'll bite. Where is this place?" We all notice Zak is rather fidgety and bouncy, he's having a very hard time sitting still.

Zak- Once they've all gotten a file and are done being overgrown children. "It's in Virginia City, Nevada."

Aaron- Setting the file down on the table in front of me as Jay, Billy and I share mirrored bemused looks. "So we are going back to Virginia City, again?"

Dakota- Having opened the file that's been handed to me as I glance over its contents, hearing what was said I look up in surprise. "How many times have you all been to Virginia City?"

Jay- Rubbing at my temples to ease the migraine I've got. (Hums Softly) "Five and if we amuse Zak, this will be the sixth time." We were all amused by Zak's open display of sheer joy.

Dakota- Sitting back in my chair with my arms crossed. (Pouts) "I've only been to Virginia City once."

Aaron- We all look at the kid, amused by his antics.

Billy- (Shakes Head) "And this is why Zak gets away with murder, he's got an accomplice that's to damn cute for his own good!" I ruffle the boys hair.

Dakota- Quickly moving out of reach as I fix my messed hair. (Whines) "Hey..."

Zak- I resist the urge to slam my face off the table. "Can we please get back on topic?!"

Aaron- (Laughs) The look on Zak's face is priceless. "Alright, tell us all about this location you secretly researched."

Zak- (Smiles Brightly) Not able to help myself, I bounce to my feet with the file in hand as I flip it open and begin to read its contents aloud. "This location is called Cascate Morte, it opened in the early 1300s and closed in 1312."

Jay- Stopping Zak right there. "The earliest reported mines are 1800's, maybe 1700's, I mean 1600's are scarce but not improbable." (Shakes Head) "Never has an earlier mine been reported."

Zak- Jay interrupted me and now it's my turn to do the same as I stop him. "There are no records of this specific mine, because of all the problems it seemed to have."

Aaron- Seeing that Jay was about to start a major fight, I changed the subject hoping to avoid it. "What kind of problems?"

Zak- Slowly leafing through the couple of pages in the file. "Besides the usual?" (Huffs Irritably) "The mine was a safety hazard! It had no proper ventilation, no safety codes and the way it was being built in general caused thousands if not billions of deaths." Pausing briefly to catch my breath before continuing my passionate rant. "You see this mine isn't on any map even and predates modern mining in Nevada, which began in 1849 when a Mormon wagon train on their way to California discovered placer gold near present day Dayton. The placer discovery led prospectors to work upstream towards the site now known as Virginia City and eventually to the discovery of the great Comstock Lode in 1859. When Nevada first became a state, mining was the main contributor to the economy and continues to be one of the top industries in the state today. The vast majority of the abandoned mines in Nevada were in operation before the surface management amendment to the 1872 Mining Law, leaving little to no consequences for miners to walk away from potentially dangerous mine features."

Dakota- Zak was on a roll and we listened until he was done raving.

Jay- (Sighs Heavily) Taking my time to glance over the contents of the file in front of me. "We are going to Virginia City."

Billy- Jay was practically Zak's second in command, so his word is law. (Nods)

Dakota- Jumping up from my seat as I do a little happy dance. "Yes!"

Aaron- Billy and I both get up and start walking away. "Time to go pack our bags."

Billy- Following Aaron upstairs. "Hopefully this will be the last time investigating Virginia City."

Aaron- (Laughs) "Don't count on it, the whole town is haunted and has wicked history. I'm waiting for the day Zak says we are investigating the whole town!"

Billy- (Chuckles) "God help us." We go our separate ways and begin packing our bags, for what will be a short trip.

3rd Person P.O.V- What the Crew doesn't know, is that this investigation may be their very last...
