Raven's lips formed a satisfied smirk as she surveyed her reflection in the mirror. The dark olive dress was strapless, with a sweetheart neckline, and fitted through the upper body. It flared loosely outward at mid-thigh in a mermaid cut, pooling elegantly around Raven's feet.

Her eyes met Francesca's in the mirror, and the other girl lifted her hands in a gesture that was part helplessness, part sarcastic.

"I've told you before that you were created for evening gowns and classy updos--what else do you want me to say? Although," Francesca added dryly, "you might have failed just slightly at the 'classy updos' part of your calling."

Raven touched the strands of hair that brushed gently against the nape of her neck, pinned back by pearl-studded silver combs. "It'll have to do for now," she answered ruefully, adjusting the matching strand of pearls that graced her collarbone.

The door opened and Sean's head popped in without knocking. "What are you girls doing? Most of the guests have already arrived..." His words trailed off as his eyes landed on Francesca, and Raven's smirk grew.

Francesca had bypassed cobalt in favor of a lavender gown that was effortless in its simplicity. Thin-strapped and clinging lightly to her curves, it fell just above her ankles, showing off a pair of unadorned black stilettos. Her kinky hair had been piled loosely on her head, and the only jewelry that she wore was a gold armlet.

"You're- you look beautiful," Sean said, clearing his throat huskily.

"You do," Raven added, a genuine smile on her lips.

Lips parting in a wicked grin, Francesca strolled to the door and straightened Sean's tie before laying her hand on his outstretched arm. "Shall we?"

He smiled softly down at her. "We shall."

Raven turned back to the mirror as they stepped out of sight, still smirking to herself. She ran a manicured fingernail along the edges of her dark red-painted lips one last time before sauntering out of the suite and shutting the door softly behind herself.

There's not much going in in this chapter, but that's precisely what I like about it. Simple and sweet, don't you think? Yes, I know, it's more filler... but not intentional; it just kind of happened.
