After I woke up, I walked into the bathroom to get ready for the day. It took me almost an hour with how groggy I felt from sitting in front of a computer all day. One more day, and I'm out of my mission, I was honestly kinda scared. What If something went wrong? What If I was caught? I kept running through so many scenarios, I really, honestly didn't know what to do or expect. The whole day was spent doing the usual.

That night, I packed my bags, made sure I had some extra clothing just incase. I had a shadow symbol tattooed on my chest, it was small, about the size of a quarter. It was just so if you were found dead, they could identify the base to return your body to. I took a deep breath as Brutus came in. "You ready for tomorrow?" I shook my head, "I'm honestly kinda scared, not gonna lie." He chuckled and handed me a present. "I was gonna wait until you came back, but you can open it now." I slowly opened it, a small box was inside the decent sized box. When I opened the box, a elite agent shadow uniform was in it. "Oh my goodness! Thank you!" He gave a nervous laugh, look under the clothes." I questioned it, picking up the clothing to reveal a heart shaped necklace with a diamond in the middle. "I want you to be mine y/n, what do you say?" I honestly didn't know how to respond, I was just gawking at Midas on my computer, who was his enemy. "I'd really have to think about it, give me until after the mission, okay?" He gave a sad nod, I kissed his cheek, thanking him and finished packing.

When morning came, I took my small bag out and waved off to everyone, Brutus dropped me off by the back side of the agency. I saw the phone booth, I snuck past guards as they were talking Into their headsets. I changed into one of the ghost outfits, a guard running up to me. I started to panic, "hey you!" I stood up straight, starting to sweat like a sinner in church. "Aren't you the new guy?" I awkwardly nodded and another guy came over. "New guy! About time you made it, we thought you died!" They pulled me along inside, "alright, let's get your ID set up!" They waited for me to speak, "what's your name?" No one else from this agency knew I existed on shadow territory, so I just used my real name. "Wait, you're a girl?" They got excited, "about time that man hires a female!" I heard footsteps, quick and fast from the upstairs ledge. I looked up, and seen a bit of gold shine as it moved from the ledge. The footsteps got louder as the henchman were getting my ID for me, they honestly thought I was a new comer. "The new one finally get here?" I looked and saw the man, it was Midas. "Yes sir, we're getting the ID now and put her in position!" Midas cocked a brow, "her?" They all looked at me confused, "I thought I hired a male." The henchman pulled a pistol on me, Midas just waved them down. "I probably misread the application, I was very tired after all." They lowered their guns and the ID finished. "Here you go newbie!" I thanked them, Midas grabbed my ID out of my hands. "Y/n?" He was questioning my name, "yeah?" He smirked and handed my ID back. "I'm sorry, your name just sounded familiar, that's all." My heart was pounding out of my chest, I was almost caught. "I can show her where she'll be at, thanks you guys!" The henchman ran off and Midas waved his hand. "Come up with me," I followed after him, he led me to his office. He held the door open and I stepped inside. "So, you are my new guard, correct?" I nodded, he had a smirk. "Since you are my guard, you are to be in my office with me at all times." It seemed like he knew something was up. Almost as if he sensed I wasn't one of them.
