I
Jennie was the first person that came to Lisa's mind as soon as the break up happened. She's owed her so much, being away and almost ignoring her for the whole practice and audition. Her body ached so much, she could barely do anything else other than lie on her bed. She reaches for her phone, despite it and dials Jennie's number.
Lisa: jennie?
Jennie: oh never thought you still knew how to call.
Lisa: listen, i'm sorry we haven't been talking and seeing each other lately, but things are OK now. starting tomorrow, why don't we practice like how we should be practicing all this time? i'll also treat you food to make it up to you.
Jennie: lisa, i know i shouldn't be meddling with your relationship with jimin, but hasn't this gone too far? one week without seeing and talking to each other is more than enough to make me all depressed and confused. questions like have i done something wrong? is jimin more important to her than i am now? i'm sorry, but i think jimin is being too controlling, taking you under his wing all. the. time. i don't see you talking or hanging out with different people anymore and-
Lisa: jennie, jen? relax. i already talked to jimin about it earlier..
Jennie: and..?
Lisa: well, i kind of broke it off with him. just for the meantime. we need space and we definitely have different priorities for now. maybe we just need to clear our minds about each other, then perhaps get back together when the right time comes?
Jennie doesn't say a word. Instead, gave a loud, defeated sigh in the background, hoping Lisa wouldn't have heard it. Lisa did, however. And decided to ignore that reaction.
Jennie: well, OK. sounds good. i just.. hope he doesn't do this when that time you're hoping for, comes.
Silence engulfs their line.
Jennie: want to tell me exactly what happened?
Knowing Jennie, especially when it comes to serious situations like this, she can be trusted with secrets and advice and can be exactly the friend she can lean on. See what she has to say for the situation at hand.
After all, back when they were just newly friends, Jennie caught Lisa crying in her spot--the rooftop--where no one ever comes up to, and consoled her. Lisa felt more than comfortable to open up to her about how much her dad abused her the night before. Jennie offered help by treating her at the clinic, applying foundation to hide the scars and bruises. And promised to keep the whole thing from the school staff, because her friendship with Lisa mattered to her most, more than seeking help from adults who clesrly wouldn't have known what to do back then.
Lisa: OK.

Rage. Unforgiving rage as Jimin stomped all the way up to his bedroom. There goes that loud slamming of the door again. This time, both parents notice.
"H-Hoseok, was that Jimin?" Mrs. Jung looks over her husband, swallowing and nervously looking up the ceiling to where the noise was last heard.
"I'm afraid so." He looked at his wife and wrapped her around his arms.
"Shouldn't we go talk to him..?" She managed to voice out despite the fear and guilt she feels at the current crisis, of not knowing what had just happened.
"I'm not sure. When Jimin throws a tantrum, he might hurt someone.."
Jimin used to have panic attacks back in middle school, where he'd always bring a box of his daily dose of antidepressants and to keep control of his anxiety down. He was able to keep his panic attacks at bay for a short while. And just recently, from the breakdown inside his bathroom, to him throwing tantrums, means it has gotten a lot worse. Especially when he seemed so confident of having rid of the anxiousness and the paranoia, deliberately avoiding his med kit of his supposedly daily doses since the start of the first day of College.
Unfortunately, it did the opposite. The maintenance was supposed to calm his nerves and lower down his heart rate. However, due to the inconsistency of it, like machines not getting regularly, properly oiled, Jimin, instead can only calm down once he lets all his feelings out. Anger and the feeling of brokenness and confusion-all of it should be projected physically as he cannot deal with it emotionally anymore. His stability has become uncertain.
Hoseok tried to gather up every courage he has left at the moment. He tried grabbing the old medication box Jimin used to have, to, maybe, help him take some of them to calm him and ease his mind before he does something extremely reckless.
Each step he took had become heavier and much scarier than the last; the nearer he got to his room, the faster and louder his uncontrollable heartbeat had become. There was a small peek hole embedded on his son's door, he went and used it to see what Jimin was up to.
Jimin used all his force to destroy every last bit of the stuffings inside his pillows and his mattress. He had already smashed his phone to bits, the mirror he used to admire himself at was broken and had a lot of cracks.
Hoseok was beyond worried. Without a minute to spare, he opened the door to face him.
Jimin, who continued destroying his room, did not notice his own Father enter. Hoseok took the advantage of quietly and slowly approaching the now violent boy. In attempt to sterilize him and take him for check up at the hospital.
The troubled young man turned around far too soon than Hoseok could've calculated, therefore causing him to back away to avoid his fists.
"Now, now, hang on, Jimin." He tried reasoning with him.
"What do you want?"
"Jimin, son-"
"I'm. not. your. son!" Jimin threw a chair in his way. Thankfully, he crouched low enough to have avoided it. "You left me and my mother suffering. How dare you even come back after five years at that?!"
"Jimin, that is a completely different story. For now, I need you to listen-"
"No, you listen." He demanded with a stern, firm voice. "I will never see you as our father."
"I know I've done you a lot of wrongs-"
"I've been abandoned by my own dad.." Tears stream down his face like a never-ending source of water. "I-I can't let Lisa out of my arms again. I just can't. She's all I have now!"
Hoseok wasn't able to hear the previous sentence clearly and was simply pushed out of his way when Jimin rushed down the strairs, leaving his Dad unconscious and his face filled with what's left of the shards from the mirror he broke.
"Jimin. Jimin, come back here. Jimin, I said-!" Mrs. Jung wasn't able to help, either. She was shut down when Jimin slammed the door closed, fetched a few clothes from where they let out their clothes to dry on as he got inside his car.

Lisa found Jennie inside the auditorium, hesitant to just walk over to her and talk to her like nothing happened between the two of them. But the reassuring smile Jennie's mouth presented when she saw her best friend gave her a sense of relief.
She got her friend back.
Lisa went and hugged her as tight as she could. "Again, I'm sorry and I don't plan on doing that ever again, Jennie."
"Hey, it's not like I haven't done anything wrong to you before." Jennie smiles, tucking a few of Lisa's strands of hair behind her ear to get a better view of the expression on her face. "Besides," Jennie pulled out her cellphone and took a picture of her crying face. "this is enough payback for now."
The orange-haired woman pouts and scoffs at her. "Jennie, I really missed you. I didn't know what to do within those days Jimin had isolated me..."
"It's OK now, right? Everything is going to be fine." Jennie smiles even more, kissing her cheek. "You can tell me what happened."
However, their conversation was cut off once Jisoo called the contestants for a new announcement. Lisa and Jennie made their way over to the stage, hand-in-hand, to listen in. Little did they know, they were secretly being watched by him; overlying by the stairs above the stage, hiding in the shadows.
