I

jenjen 🐱:
he said the L word,
already???

jenjen 🐱:
but you just went
on two dates w him???

lalisa 🐹:
i know, it's crazy,
but i def heard him
say it. it's weird
and i feel like it
went too fast for
this relationship..

jenjen 🐱:
well,, how do you
feel, then?

lalisa 🐹:
not sure. . .

lalisa 🐹:
i didn't dislike
the idea of him
saying those words.

lalisa 🐹:
but, jennie, tell me,
honestly--do you think
it's going too fast?

jenjen 🐱:
for me, it is.
but what matters more
is how you two feel
abt each other.
he wouldn't have just
said that if he didn't
feel...something.

jenjen 🐱:
but maybe jimin
included the two
weeks he's been friends
w you, thinking it's
not too soon at his
end.

lalisa 🐹:
i really, really like him.
but that's it. i can't seem
to find the courage to say
the same..

jenjen 🐱:
then don't!
he wasn't really
expecting an answer.
like you said, he just
blurted it out.

lalisa 🐹:
but what if he did that
on purpose to test if
i'd say the same?

jenjen 🐱:
then talk. just talk
to him..so you two
understand each other.
tell him if you're
prepared or not.

lalisa 🐹:
alright, thanks, jen..

jenjen 🐱:
then update me as
soon as you get ahold
of his answer

lalisa 🐹:
jennie!! ><

From the very next day, to the next second; as soon as Jimin finds Taehyung, he was going to tell him everything to ask an advice from his only best friend. Unexpectedly, he saw Tae inside the cafeteria, eating breakfast, he presumes. He assumed he'd be in the gym, practicing his strategy on court, but there he was. Wasting no time, he immediately slid across his table and blurted,

"I told Lisa I love her."

Taehyung choked on his oatmeal, "You did what?" Jimin handed him his water bottle as a help.

"It was an accident, okay? I was driving her home last night when I suddenly happened to..think what it'd feel like to..say..I love her."

Taehyung was stunned at his best friend in front of him, suddenly it was all that mattered now. Nothing less, nothing more. It was as if time constricted the two men from moving or let alone, react to the situation at hand.

"You know you just messed it up, right?"

"What? Why would a guy telling his girlfriend he loves her 'mess it all up'?"

"I mean, think for a moment," Taehyung licked his lips as if trying to contemplate on how he should construct his words carefully to explain to the other. "you two have only gone out on two dates and you've known each other for three to four weeks, give or take, and you say 'i love you' to a person you haven't even known for more than two months, at least."

"I get the point. But how can I tell her it was an accident?"

"You don't. If you tell her that now, she'd assume you don't feel that way towards her."

"Which I do."

Taehyung ruffles his hair, sweeping his hand through to fix it again. It was all-in-all frustrating. This was an awkward situation to be put in and it had landed on Jimin.

"So, what's your plan?"

"I'll just have to tell her I really mean that. Even if she becomes distant because of it."

Beyond the Scene was hosting a meeting for today; this time, Lisa has been picked as one of the performers, along with Jisoo, Jennie and Rose. Apparently, the four of them fit the right bill as a group and would probably do a cover of a widely-known sexy song they're choosing soon.

Meanwhile, Jimin was on the edge of his seat, rehearsing inside his mind on what he should say to Lisa.

'I doubt you remembered what I happened to say last night, but-'

'Lisa, I know it was awkward, but I really do feel that way for you-'

'That I love you thing was just a line I was practicing for our voice acting class.'

The brunette became quite irritable, not knowing what to say as an excuse. His thoughts were cut off when all of a sudden, he was hugged on his back by Lisa, who was jumping for joy.

"I'm gonna perform! Woohoo! Isn't this exciting? Now I know how you felt when you got picked." The blonde was just about to go over to listen to the whole meeting for their performance, but Jimin grabbed her wrist first to make last night clear between the two of them.

"Lisa, listen, about last night, the 'I love you' thingy, erm," Jimin exhaled loudly, "I really meant it. I know, it's awful and it sounds awkward and quite too early for us, but that's how I feel. And besides, you can just brush it off like a joke I told in between our conversation."

Lisa smiles genuinely at him, holding out his hand and said, "You don't have to explain anything. I'm quite flattered, really. No one's ever said that to me before, other than my brother. I'm really glad you let that slip out."

"Lisa, you're needed here, pronto."

"I need to go to the meeting. Let's talk later, okay?" Lisa kisses Jimin on the cheek to run off to the table the three other girls were seated at.

Jimin felt relieved and satisfied from Lisa's answer. To be honest, he really didn't mean to let that slip off his tongue. Perhaps he was just too excited at the possibility of the future, the two of them casually saying their 'i love you's and such.

Lisa and Jimin decided to stay inside the auditorium for a while since there weren't any staff or other people inside. It was the perfect place for their needed privacy. They sat at the very front row of the room, the quietness giving their breaths the chance to be heard all over the room between the two of them.

"So. . ." Lisa starts off. "anyway, I just wanted to say that it's gonna take me some time to say that casually. But," The blonde leans in on his shoulder, "I really do like you. I really do. Don't forget that."

"Obviously, I like you. I wouldn't have asked you out if I didn't." Jimin chuckles nervously awkward back.

"Sometimes, I wonder if we were really meant for each other, y'know? I sometimes imagine the future--our future, if it's really going to turn into something more, like in movies." Lisa nods to herself in agreement "I would totally love the idea."

The man stuck out his hand to which the blonde gladly held on to.

"I'd love to see that future."

That night, Jimin lied on his back in bed, staring at the ceiling. He was just imagining how long the two of them could possibly go and grow together. Will they be able to graduate with their hearts still attached to each other? Will they be able to stay committed to this relationship?

A lot of questions kept entering his kind. He was at such a vulnerable state.

"Jimin-oppa, I- ew, gross." Kate spoke, but entered the room, anyway, looking for something. "I need your earphones."

"And why is that?" He didn't bother to stand and help her look for them. He knew she'd find them sooner than he would.

"His mixtape is soon to be released. But I want to keep streaming to help him get the recognition he deserves. Ah! Found 'em." Kate went and twirled the earphones between her fingers, and as she shut the lights out, she advised, "If you can't hold it in, spray it out in the toilet. Don't you squirt it on the ceilings."

At long last, Jimin was finally alone again, so he decided to call Lisa for a change.

'Hello?'

"Hey," Jimin starts off, "I just called to see if you're okay."

'Why wouldn't I be?' Lisa scoffs jokingly, 'The boyfriend is on the worried stage, is he good himself?'

"I just wanted to hear your voice. What'cha doing?"

'I'm practicing for my performance,
remember? With Jisoo and Jennie
and Rose.'

"I'd love to watch you dance again." He really does. He's only seen her dance once and that was at the auditions.

'What about you, then, Mr. Hotshot?'

"I'm talking to my girlfriend."

'Cringy, but sweet.'

Jimin could hear the background music playing, he noticed her breathing, mumbling as she counted the steps in preparation.

'...is it 1, 2, 3, 4 or 1, 2, 3, 4?'

The boy couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm. So he left his phone on speaker as he went to the kitchen to grab something to eat. Maybe a small square from a chocolate bar wouldn't hurt.

'Ha. . .this is absolitely exhausting
than studying for Academics.'

"You're weird for thinking that."

'Well, you're dating this weirdo,
might as well get used to it.'

She stretched a couple more of her limbs to try and match her moves with the beat; it was definitely working. She improved than from what they had practiced earlier.

'Hey, uh, I'm gonna practice some more, then rest a little. I'll text you
goodnight later.'

"Oh, yeah, sure. Good luck."
