Jimin and Lisa ended their little play off with Lunch together.
"When are you planning on signing up for the auditions?" Lisa suddenly asked after having her fill of water when she swallowed a mouth full of her meal.
"Maybe tomorrow." Jimin responds. "I'm gonna give it some time to think."
The blonde nods; as she was actually expecting a different answer. But she accepted, anyway. Another spoonful of meal came through her mouth before he took his turn.
"You?" He wanted an answer. He just wanted to be in the same club, okay? Not too freaky. He just needed to have someone he's familiar with to extend his commitment to one.
"I was planning on joining Beyond the Scene. It seems. .interesting, like an all in one package. You should try, too." She tried not being too obvious of her approach. But little did she know, Jimin was a slow one to catch such small gestures.
He was already reconsidering her choice. Not bad, he says to himself.
He's already decided.
Lisa's eyes wavered at the time on her wristwatch. Biting her lip in the process.
"Is something wrong?" He was anxious the way she looked at the time, assuming she was bored from spending time with him. But he didn't assume much after she confirmed.
Shaking her head, she says. "No, no, it's not what it looks like. I-I just have a curfew, you know, living in a dorm. But don't worry, I go home and study at 5." Of course, she was delighted to use this spare time with him. She liked the way he goes with the flow; especially engaging interesting topics and getting to know each other well before making moves on her like how others would do before.
Slow and Steady-just how she liked it.
"Oh," He softly chuckles in relief. "good. I was actually hoping for you to meet my best bud, Tae."
"Why does that name seem familiar, I wonder?"
"Um," He knew. He knew exactly what she was talking about. The spread rumors about his best friend; the rumor that ruined him back in highschool. "I guess you know him by 'V', then?"
Speaking of, Taehyung arrived, sitting beside him to join in the conversation.
"Yep, the nickname's V, but I prefer Taehyung or simply 'Tae'." The fake smile made Jimin feel sympathetic remembering the reason behind it being established in the first place.
"I only heard his name from those I would pass by the hallways. Said to be a legendary-" She cut herself off before she says anything regretful and decided to start over. "I'm Lisa Manoban. Nice to meet you."
Tae smiles back, feeling good she didn't want to stretch out the topic more. "Tae. I see you've met my good friend here." He suddenly grabs Jimin by his neck, ruffling his well-combed hair. Then received a hard slap on the back as payback.
"Ugh, Kim Taehyung, you just ruined my lucky charm!" The boy started running his fingers through it, using it in replacement of his comb.
Tae scoffed in return. "Yeah, do that. That's been your hobby, anyway, Jingles."
The blonde couldn't help herself but laugh at the friendship chemistry between the two boys in front of her.
"Goodness, I've never seen two guys this close before being this adorable."
Both Tae and Jimin looked at each other, almost gagging at the word she used-'adorable'.
"Don't expect me to act cute." Jimin quoted, waving a finger in the air.
"We prefer the term 'awesome'." Tae lifted his arms in the air, pushing his chin out as he did so to increase his so-called charming aura.
The three had hit it off with a good start, more than expected.
Lisa was having too much fun hanging out with the two boys. While Taehyung kept making funny, weird noises, teasing Jimin about his height being consistent, she hadn't even realized she only had about 10 minutes before her estimated schedule for studying inside her dorm.
Jimin felt like he swallowed tons of ecstasy-it was too good to be true. He felt himself getting closer to Lisa and that's what made him attracted to her more. He never knew how much he had in common with the blonde.
"Ah, I better go now." Lisa picked up her bag by her arm, waving goodbye to the two of them as she began walking away. "It was nice meeting you, Taehyung!"
All the brunette could do was sigh as her figure disappeared.
"Yah, I thought you liked Lisa?" Taehyung asked with a nudge on his elbow.
"She told me she needs to study at 5."
"So?"
Jimin was left speechless by the way Tae was reacting. "Um, why are you even concerned?"
"I think she'd do you good. I mean, she looks innocent and maybe even influence you to study more. That's what you want to happen, right? Besides, 10 minutes wouldn't hurt for a little talk." He nudged his friend one last time, pleading him to chase the girl he's been talking about for days.
With one last nudge, Jimin laughed it off, pushing his friend's arm away. "Tae, I still have tomorrow. This can wait."
"Since when have you been this stubborn? I'm literally giving it my all here to support you."
Of course, Tae was angry. Well, aggravated and dumbfounded, to be exact. He couldn't figure out exactly why Jimin won't budge in his seat; how he usually does after receiving the 'nudge' from Tae.
"I promise I'll let her know. Um, maybe a few hints would be enough?"
Taehyung shrugs it off, not feeling the mood to be responsive nor even look at him. He was too disappointed at Jimin for letting those 10 minutes pass.
"Whatever you say."
