It's been a week since the festival performance and Lisa has not seen a glimpse of Jimin. Sure, she planned on going to his house to visit, but then she felt shy to. After all, there would be a possibility his mother would be there and his sister, too, wouldn't want them thinking she can come there and barge whenever she wants to.

She's already sent numerous amounts of consecutive texts to his phone, but still to no avail. Wondering what might've happened is what's causing her to feel more devastated each minute she tries to comprehend it. He has been acting strange; plus, when he all of a sudden left both of them behind without replying to her texts after.

"Oh, god," Lisa caressed her head, still trying to get ahold of him. "I don't know what's happened to him. I need to know he's fine."

"Lisa, you're being ridiculous, acting like you're his real mom." Jennie shook her head at her now being paranoid best friend. She thought it was going well, having time with her while he took his break, without thinking much into it as to why he did take off the week.

"But Jennie, don't you think it's a bit weird? He took off from me and V without saying a word after. Not even a single reply from him." Lisa continued to stare at her phone, still chanting and hoping inside her head for his reply.

"Would you relax? Maybe he wasn't feeling well about the stress and the pressure. After all, he practices day and night. He obviously gave it his all to that performance. Give him a break."

"Maybe you're right.." The orange-haired stared at their picture one last time before she decided to lock the screen, leaving it in her pockets to focus on other things.

"Hi, Lisa. I was wondering if you know what happened to Jimin." Jisoo came over and ruined the whole forget-Jimin-he's-fine thing. "It's been a week and I thought maybe he'd want to participate in our upcoming show."

Knowing club managers and such, of course they'd pick their best and most active members for the presentation, Lisa thought. "No. I've actually been trying to reach him myself, but no messages came back."

"Oh," Jisoo sighs in disappointment. "Too bad. This could be a big break."

"Oh, wait," Lisa knew it wasn't good to take advantage of his absence, but this could be her chance to prove herself to this club-to prove she's one of the best and she deserves to be on the scholar list. I'm sorry, Jimin, she told herself. "Is that position open? Because I'm willing to try."

"Really?" Jisoo opened her clipboard to check her list, decided to replace Jimin for the meantime and give the others a chance. Time is of the essence. "OK, auditions are open until friday next week."

"Wait, why was this going to be his big break, if I may ask?"

"For one, he's gonna be- well, supposed to present Beyond the Scene with him being the lead dancer. And by lead dancer, I mean, he gets to be the one dancing in the center, have back up dancers and such. Technically, be the star. I figured he had the most potential, seeing as he's always joining the activities. But I'd love to try someone new. I wish you good luck." With that said, Jisoo left with a smile on her face, and continued to direct other club members, entertaining them with their unanswered questions.

As for Lisa, she breathed when Jisoo was gone, then confronted Jennie whether what she did was wrong or not.

"Is that even supposed to be asked?"

"Jen, come on. I feel guilty enough as it is. I need approval."

"It's not entirely your fault. I mean, this could be your chance to shine. For one, he's not here. And two, if he's supportive, he'd even cheer for you. He already got his shot with the performance, give the others the chance, you know?"

» Four days ago

Mrs. Jung found herself circling around the halls in front of her son's bedroom, afraid to knock and ask him if he's OK. He's been awfully quiet for quite a long time. Hours it's been since he last barged into their home and locked himself in there.

But being the mother, she has the right and should have courage to face whatever she has to face to help her son feel better. So she knocks.

"Jimin? It's Mom. Look, I don't know how I can possibly help you if you stay in there and not facing me. Come on, my baby boy, open this up for me, please?" Mrs. Jung knocked one more time, earning a scream from him.

"I said, GET OUT! I don't want to talk to anyone right now!"

She knew the boundary, she knew he would be so angry if she ever opened the door with her key. That was their pact. But this was obviously a serious situation. She needs to know he's really fine. With that decision made up in her mind, she pulled the key from her pocket, twisting the door open, only to find Jimin getting wet when he stayed under the sink, the sink full of water already, reaching the floor of his bedroom. "Jimin!!"

Mrs. Jung rushed to his side, turning the faucet off before she went to grab the nearest towel she could find. "What on earth were you thinking? Look at you, all wet and soggy now." As a mother, she knew what to do. First, she got him on a chair, then started off by drying his hair first. Then told him to make sure to change into dry clothes first before he tucks himself in.

"Jimin-ah," she was going to confront him what's going on. But wasn't able to continue doing so when she turned around to see tears streaming down his face. He was staring off into space, his face scrunched up and covered with one hand. The other gripping onto his hair, trying to stop the pain by hurting himself.

{ a/n: this hurt me so bad when i first saw this. }

Mrs. Jung didn't know what to do with this without actually knowing what had him crying this hard. He's never the type to break down without a reason. She actually hoped Jimin would open up to her as the moment counted on it, seeing as Jimin is closest to his mother more than anyone else in the family.

"Jimin, I'm your mother and I'm here for you. I'll always be ready to listen. Please tell mom what's the problem." She whispered ever so gently as she tried comforting him by caressing him on the shoulder and on the back. Tried wooing him in the process.

Kate, on the other hand, chose to be the observant one in the scene. She hid behind the door and saw how broken her big brother was for the first time. He's always been the smiler, the happiest in the family. Seeing him this down and broken, of course, would affect anyone who could see him. She wondered to herself who could possibly drive him this low as to break down like this in front of their mom? How much is he hurting?

"I'll make some soup for you." Mrs. Jung suggested. "Aigoo, but change into dry clothes first before I tuck you in, OK? Wouldn't want you catching a cold now, would we?"

"E-Eomma..." his voice shivered. "I-I don't want to go anywhere.. p-please.. I-I want to stay here, just for a while.."
As a mother, seeing her son pleading in front of her was heartwrecking enough. She figured it'd only take a couple of days for him to settle in; maybe it was just the stress that drove him to be like this.

"I understand."

Present Day

Jennie was absolutely down to support Lisa by applying as her backup dancer for her audition. She was determined to make Lisa stay on the list and maybe get some attention herself since she doesn't have anything better to do, anyway. Lisa was proud to have her by her side, a supportive best friend.

On her way home, she was hoping to get some shut eye from the training and observing others what they'll audition with, looking for the perfect choreo for it. Suddenly, her phone buzzed a notification. All she could think about was Jimin finally getting ahold of his phone to text her back.

Her heart was so glad his name was what appeared on the screen. All the anger and confusion she was feeling when he left her was gone; just missing him currently.

Jimin: can we talk?

Lisa: i miss you. please come back?

Jimin: turn around

Sure enough, he was there, leaning against his car with his phone in his hand.

"Jimin."

Lisa ran across the street despite almost getting run over by the car passing through. She jumped onto her boyfriend and kissed and hugged him as tight as she could like she never hugged him before.
