i (wont) give up

After San had come back out and began to eat, Jackson sat down with him to keep him company but soon got a call from his management that he had to return.

"Aw, but you just got here" San says with a small pout.

"I've been here all day San, it's 5. Plus it's ok, just call me when you can" Jackson says with a sweet smile then ruffles the younger's already messy hair.

"Oh ok. And you better pick up" San says pointedly and Jackson winks at him as he goes to slip on his shoes and grab his coat.

"No promises"

Jackson leaves the house and was caught off guard by the person sitting in front of the door on the stairs. The person looks back and Jackson instantly recognizes him as Wooyoung from earlier.

"What are you still doing here?" Jackson asks with a raised brow as he silently shuts the front door.

"Just waiting for San" Wooyoung replies curtly and faces forward again, really disappointed that it wasn't San that opened the door.

"Hmm I see" Jackson hums in response then make his way down the stairs and towards his car. He stops again and turns back to meet Wooyoung's eyes.

"Not gonna lie... you really fucked up. The way you treated him back in Seoul was inhumane and heartless. I'm surprised you even had the balls to show your face here but strangely enough though, San still cares and seriously likes you. He's pretending that he's gotten over you but I know him. He hasn't"

Wooyoung just stays quiet. Of course he knows he fucked up. That's literally all everyone has ever told him. The part where he mentioned that San is still not over him gave him a shred of hope. Hope that he wanted to hold unto and never let go.

The corners of his lips lift ever so slightly in a smile. Jackson just gives him a final wave before turning to walk off. "I'm Jackson by the way" He calls out then enters his car and drives off.

Wait. Jackson Wang? As in Got7 Jackson? Oooh no wonder he looked so familiar. How the hell is San befriending all these idols. First Taemin now him..

Wooyoung returns to his sitting and waiting. It was getting seriously cold out and his butt was getting numb because of how long he'd been sitting on the cold concrete stair. He'd been waiting there since around 4 when he first arrived and he wasn't planning on leaving any time soon.

A few minutes later another car rolls up and parks in front of the house then an older woman steps out with a couple bags. She walks up to the house with a cautious look on her face and Wooyoung immediately stands up to greet her.

She was a little bit shorter than the younger and her long dark hair was held back in a loose ponytail. She seriously looked a lot like San so Wooyoung guessed that she was his mom.

"Good evening" He says out while bowing respectfully.

"Evening. Are you waiting for San?" She asks with a small smile.

"Ah- yeah kind of" Wooyoung says nervously and she nods in understanding.

"Well you don't have wait out here it's freezing, come on in"

Wooyoung instantly declines and shakes his head. He knew that San wouldn't be comfortable with that at all. "It's fine. I'm ok waiting out here"

"Suit yourself. What's your name?" She asks curiously as she inserts her house key into the key hole and tries opening the door.

"Wooyoung" He says and she freezes, instantly remembering what her son told her about who made him so depressed and heartbroken.

She just flashes a fake smile at him,"Nice to meet you Wooyoung" Then she quickly goes in the house, shutting the door behind her. She immediately drops her bags on the couch and goes to San's room.

"Mom, you're back" San says absentmindedly as he scrolled through his laptop. He was situated on his bed, a bowl of chips beside him.

"Wooyoung. He's outside" She says blankly and he looks at her in surprise.

"Wait what?"

"I know right. I mean purple hair, check. Strong jawline, check. Incredibly handsome, double check" She rants out and San just scoffs then pulls himself out of bed and towards the front door.

"Ugh-- I told him to leave"

"So he's been here before?" She asks as she follows him.

"Yeah he came by earlier today. Has he seriously been waiting here all day?" San asks in disbelief as he peeked out the window and saw that Wooyoung really was waiting on the stairs. When he said he'd be waiting I didn't think he meant it literally...

"Go talk to him" His mom speaks up.

"About what?"

"Anything"

"It's not that simple mom" He lets out a sigh and goes to open the door.

The purple haired boy who sat on the stairs turns back when the door reopens. When he saw that it was San he quickly stood up to face him. San knew that his mom was most likely trying to eavesdrop into their conversation so he steps out and shuts the door behind him.

The two former roommates just stand and stare at each other in the cold wind. "Ah- I told you that you should leave. Why are you still here?" San finally speaks up.

Because I'm in love with you, Choi San.

"I told you that I'll be waiting for you. No matter how long it takes" Wooyoung says firmly and San couldn't help but get a bit annoyed at that.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean? I seriously just don't understand you Wooyoung. You told me how you felt and that you'll never lo-- be interested in me. I left and I'm trying to move on and now here you are spouting bullshit, so what? I can crawl back into your arms and give you another opportunity to hurt me even more? I can't and I won't. I won't fall for your tricks again so just go away. You've hurt me enough" San rants out, his eyes were watering up and his face was hot. He felt angry and upset at the world.

Wooyoung's eyes soften and he raises his hand to wipe away a tear that managed to escape on the shorter's soft cheek but San just flinches back.

"I said go! Now!" San raises his voice and this time Wooyoung flinches back. He bites his bottom lip harshly and nods solemnly.

"Ok... Ok" Wooyoung says with a sad smile as he starts to walk backwards and towards his car.

San just turns and goes back inside and slams the door hard. He rubs his eyes as more tears threaten to fall.

His mom, who was peeking out the window watching everything unfold and trying to hear what they were saying, goes to give him a hug.

"Baby" She whispers and San returns the hug, burying his face in the crook of her neck. She places a kiss on his head and holds her confused and heartbroken son in her arms like he was an infant again.

"It'll all work out. I'm sure of it" She whispers.

I hope to hell it does.

That night Wooyoung layed in his hotel room, eyes wide open. He didn't feel tired at all. He couldn't stop thinking about how upset San looked when he found him still waiting in front of his door.

"What am I even doing?" He asks himself out loud, running his hands across his face then roughly pulling his bangs away from his face. A month ago all he wanted to do was get rid of San in his life but yet here he was trying to get the older to talk to him again.

He already made up his mind about not leaving until San talked to him. Nothing was going to change it.

I really did fuck up didn't I..?
