Lichantony - Just A Kiss
Summary - Antony confesses to Lisandro that he kissed another man.
Enjoy!
Lisandro fell asleep on the couch in front of the TV. Antony told him not to wait up, because celebrations with the team might hold him up. Lisandro however wanted to be the first one to congratulate Antony when he stepped through the door. The win against Brighton meant that Manchester United was going all the way to the finals, somthing the two of them could only dream of when joining the team earlier this season.
"Tony, is that you?"
Lisandro woke up to a sound somewhere in distance. The house was dark so it was impossible to see past the living room. But from the shadows his silhouette emerged.
"Fuck Tony. Why scare me like that?" Lisandro chuckled as he sat up on the couch. Antony didn't respond, instead he slowly made his way to the couch, plotting down next to Lisandro, keeping his distance between them.
"Tony?" Lisandro frowned. "Is everything alright?"
He looked a bit pale. Lisandro stretched out a hand to touch his face but then Antony did something he's never done before, he pulled away from him.
"Antony." Lisandro ignored the painful jab that hit his stomach. "What's wrong?"
Antony looked up, the soft light from the TV illuminated the outlines of his face. "Licha I..." His lips trembled "I...."
"Yes?"
Antony shook his head. His hands anxiously rubbed against his thighs as it appeared that he didn't know what to do with them. "Licha I made a mistake." He whispered.
Lisandro leaned closer. "What mistake?"
Antony looked to his feet.
"Tony please tell me, what mistake?"
"I..."
"Did you get hurt on your way here? Were you drinking and driving?" Lisandro could smell a bit of alcohol coming from him. But again Antony shook his head. "No, Licha it's not that. Someone dropped me off here"
"No? What is it then?"
"I...I...cheated on you Licha." Antony stumbled forwards burying his face in his hands. His shoulders trembled as he began to cry.
"You what?" Lisandro backed away, recreating the previous distance between them.
Antony looked up from his hands, eyes glossy in the light from the TV. "But I swear, it was just a kiss."
Lisandro didn't know how to respond. He had never felt such pain hit him all at once. He had feard this day. The day that Antony would realize that Lisandro wasn't enough for him. That with another man Antony could finally show his love and affection in public, not force to hide like Lisandro made him do. This was all his fault Lisandro thought. He swallowed the lump in his throat "Who did you kiss, Tony?"
Antony shook his head. "It doesn't matter. I'm just so so sorry Licha."
"It doesn't...." Lisandro frowned. "Just tell me who it was."
"Promise you won't get mad."
"At the guy you kissed? Unless I know him why would I get angry at a stranger?"
Antony sat back in silence, eyes filled with guilt.
"No." Lisandro shook his head. "For fuck sakes, don't tell me I know the guy, Tony?"
"I'm so sorry." Antony sniffled.
"Is it someone on the team? Bruno?"
Antony frowned. "Why would you...he's got a wife and kids Licha."
"Malacia?"
"Are you crazy?"
"Who was it then, Victor?" It would make the most sense. He did score the winning goal. Perhaps it was a celebratory kiss. A quick peck on the cheek. Then it wouldn't count as cheating. Then everything would be okay, Lisandro thought.
"Licha." Antony said desperate to regain his attention, seeing as Lisandro was getting all fired up. "It was none of those guys."
"No, who was it then?"
Antony sighed. "It was Dalot."
"Come again?"
"Diogo Dalot." Antony repeated. "He's the one that dropped me off at the house, but that's not when I kissed him."
"When did you kiss him then?" Lisandro was still trying to make sense of it all. Dalot, really? What could Antony possibly see in that guy. They spoke the same language, so what? Fred spoke Portuguese too, but apparently Antony preferred them with brown hair and striking blue eyes.
"It was after the game, when the team went out for drinks. I had taken a few shots and the bar we were at was playing really good brazilian funk. Dalot and I were singing along to some of the songs and in the heat of the moment I kissed him."
"Just like that?" Lisandro shrugged.
"But I swear Licha, it meant nothing. It was more like a friendly kiss, we laughed about it right afterwards."
"So he kissed you back then?"
"What?"
Lisandro cleared his throat. "Dalot, did you kissed him or did he end up kissing you back?" Lisandro feared the images he was getting in his head.
"I think we both kissed each other, yes." Antony nodded. "But I initiated it." He was quick to add.
Lisandro nodded understandingly. Antony did tend to get into his feels whenever alcohol was involved and Lisandro knew that first hand. He used to think it was adorable. Now he didn't know what to feel.
"But Licha, please trust me when I say that it meant nothing. Dalot and I talked it over in the car ride here. I apologize for what happened, knowing Dalot recently proposed to his girlfriend. But all he did was laugh it off, telling me how his fiance would find it funny too."
"How sweet." Lisandro said bitterly. The story was getting worse by the minute. Nevertheless, he couldn't shake the feeling that this was somehow his fault. Had he been neglecting Antony more now that he was injured. Should he had shown more supporte after the teams loss against Sevilla last week. He rembers how upset Antony had been after that game and all Lisandro had done was to help him laugh it off. What an idiot he was, Lisandro thought. Of course Antony felt desperate enough to seek love elsewhere. He wasn't getting enough of it at home from Lisandro.
"And there's another thing" Antony said, wiping his tears.
"Please don't say you guys slept together." Lisandro said, falling back against the couch. He squinted his eyes in pain. "Because I don't think I..."
"I told him about us."
Lisandro paused, his eyes reopening. "You what?" He said, slowly raising himself to sit.
"I told Diogo about you and me. I trust him enough not to tell anyone."
"Great." Lisandro muttered. Even though Antony says the kiss didn't mean anything, he cares enough about Dalot to trust him with one of his biggest secrets. Lisandro finally understood what he was feeling and jealousy had never suited him well.
"He said he was happy for us. That you are a great guy and that I deserved that."
Lisandro raised his brow in suprise. "He said that?"
Antony nodded, a shy smile twitching the corner of his lips. "And he's right, your the best. I'm sorry for what I've done. I know it counts as cheating but I didn't mean....."
Lisandro pressed a silencing finger against Antony's soft lips. "If you say it meant nothing, it meant nothing. I trust you, Tony."
Antony's eyes mellowed. "Oh Licha." He lunged himself forwards relaying on Lisandro to catch him hin his embrace. So he did, wrapping his arms around Antony. "I love you Tony, more than anything."
"I love you too Licha."
"I'm glad you told Dalot about us, soon we will tell more people."
Antony raised his head, eyes staring up at Lisandro "We will?"
Lisandro nodded his head. "I promise."
