Him

The smile on her face, as bright as the blazing sun,
Slowly brightening my eyes, my heart she'd won,
I was still in a trance unable to believe,
That the girl right there was mine to keep.

I swung our hands as we exited the park,
Being childish gave it a new little spark,
Her fingers fit so perfectly, so fine,
Like god had made her just to be mine.

When she looked up at me, through her wavy tresses,
I felt like showering her with little kisses,
"Control yourself," I urged my mind.
As I averted my gaze to the flowers behind.

" Do you want to go somewhere?" I asked.
" Not really," she said as she blushed.
" As long as I am right here with you,"
" I will have a lot of memories to look forward to."

Her words made my heart thump and race,
A rosy tint crept up my neck and face,
And as I looked forward to our journey so steep,
I was afraid I had fallen for her too deep.
