Her

I strolled into the library,
I had to return a book,
I saw a boy sitting behind the desk,
I had to take a look.

I tried not to obviously peek,
I was scared as hell,
But one glance I just had to have,
My mind let out ringing bells...

"Don't do it!", it said to me,
You will make a fool of yourself,
Just go right there and say hello.
And introduce yourself.

I didn't want to do that.
" Are you out of your mind?"
I am too shy to approach the boy
I prefer hiding behind the blinds.

I rummaged between the shelves,
Searching for a new book,
Only when I gave it to him to take it,
I dared to spare a look.

And my oh my he was perfection,
With ivory grey eyes and a smile.
His eyes crinkled when he looked at me,
And I forgot everything that was on my mind.
