Chapter Three: the phone call.

It was 3 days until the court date with the school and I have been in 7 different papers all around the USA, have had over 20 different articles done on my justice making, and have had 14 phone calls to talk on talk shows but I have only went to one.

I looked at the picture of Daniela and me hugging, she wore a smile and her eyes twinkled with happiness. I had one of Daniela's drawings beside it she was an amazing artists, the picture was of her and I and at the bottom it said "Thanks for always believing in me, one day I want to grow up and be like you." I smiled at what wrote I was her best friend, and the one she looked up too.

I remember the day I told her about my past. She said she want to be like me and show her bullies that they cannot and will not stop her from being her.

"Libby I want to be like you when I'm older." She told me

"No Danny, I want to be yourself." I told her with a smile.

"Libby do you want me to show you my new favorite songs." She asked me as her eyes sparked with hope and happiness.

"I would be honoured Danny." I told her

She pulled out her iPod and clicked her playlist called 'Favorites'. And Katy Perry's voice started

"You held me down but I got up, already brushing off the dust." Katy sang

"I got the eye of the tiger, the fire dancing through the fire. 'Cause I am a champion and you're going to hear me roar! Louder than a lion 'cause I am a champion and you're gonna hear me roar." Katy sang

After Roar finished Same Love by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Ft Mary Lambert began to play

I smile at the memory. I pulled out my book full of the drawing Daniela gave me. There were at least thirty pictures I flipped through them and couldn't stop smiling when I was doing so

RING RING RING

My phone started to ring I hopped off my couch and hurried to answer it.

"Hello?" I said into the phone

"Hi is the Liberty Farewell?" a lady asked me

"Yes this is she." I told her

"I was wondering if you would come and speak to my class later today?" she asked

"Yes I'd love to but may I ask why?" I answered and asked

"We've been having bullying problem and I was hoping that you talking to them would make it stop." She told me

"Okay now I need the name of school, address, time and room number with your name." I told her

"Sourth Middle school 456 Highland Street Hopes Ville. Room 406 Ms. Fannie and at 2:30pm." She told me

I looked at my clock it was 1:00pm and it takes 15 minutes to get to Hopes Ville. I could plan what I was going to say and get there on time.

I stood in front Sourth Middle school at 2:00pm I was a half an hour early I wanted to talk with the teacher before I talked with the children. I walked in Ms. Fannie's room to see a woman around 25 with blonde hair, light green eyes with a small figure.

"Hello Ms. Fannie." I greeted her

"Oh please call me Hope." She told me with a smile.

"I was wondering if I could set up while we talk." I asked her she nodded

"I think it's wonderful, that you're doing this." She told me

"Thank you." I thanked her and put pictures up on the board. One of Danny, some of her drawings and some news articles and a picture of when black people weren't treated equally. I put my video into Ms. Fannie's laptop and I was done.

"Is this Daniela?" Hope asked

"Yes." I told her with a smile

A bell went off and students filled the class. I notice that some were picking on a young girl. Hope was going to say something.

"Excuse me." I said to the group and everyone in the class noticed me

"I suggest you stop picking on that girl or I'll deal with you myself." I told the group and a young girl scoffed

"What are you going to do? Tell Ms. Fannie on us." She sneered

"Nope. You get to answer all my questions thought out my presentation." I told her

"Ms. Fannie." Whined the girl

"No Isabel listen to Ms. Farewell." She told the girl or Isabel

"Hello children I am Liberty Farewell." I greeted them

"Isabel would you like to guess why I'm here?" I asked the girl

"To give a presentation." She said

"Yes but I'm also here to talk about you guys bullying others." I told them and went to get a picture of Danny

"This girl committed suicide. Anybody know why or who she is?" I asked them

"You're sister and because of bullying" a girl told me

"You're almost right but she's not my sister. This is Daniela she was bullied by everyone in her grade because she was a lesbian. They not only called her names also but hit her with their hands, books and rulers." I told them

"Do you think she deserved it?" I asked them

"No." said the girl who was being picked on earlier

"No she didn't but they did it anyways. Who thinks that what the bullies did was right?" I told and asked them no one put their hands up

I took one of the articles and gave it to Isabel. "Read it out loud please." I told her

"Lady Files a Lawsuit Against A School For Lack of Justice And For No Punishments For Unacceptable Behavior. Ms. Liberty Farewell sues school for not dealing with bullying problems and for not punishing the students when the physical hurt Ms. Daniela." She read

"Now children I would like to know would you make a person with darker skin be your slave?" I asked them

"No." they told me

"Then why do you bully someone for their differences?" I asked them

"Now I will play something for you." I told them then started the movie

Danny appeared on the screen.

"Hello whoever watched this, I am Daniela and I am being bullied for being a lesbian. Will someone tell me what I did for them to bully me about it?" she asked as tears fell down her face

"I've always been nice and kind to everyone but somehow I still got this. It all started when my friend Nikki asked who I liked. Thinking I could trust her I told her I like this girl, she turned one me and called me names, soon she got everyone in on the game 'who could make Danny cried the fastest' that was 2 years ago now I'm sixteen and it's still going on.." She told the camera

"I started these video so I could finally share my feelings without worrying who I could and couldn't trust." She said

"I think I'm going to end my life I just can't take it anymore. I just wish that they would stop because it hurts so much. The only friend I have is Libby don't get me wrong she's amazing but I really want Nikki back. Libby always tells me to never give up and show them that what they think doesn't matter. But I can't keep going. Now as one of my favorite songs goes." She started

"And I can't change even if I try even if I wanted to." She sang

"I tried to change but I can't it's just who I am." She said

"I'm doing it tonight but don't worry you guys won't see me do it." She said

"Oh and if anyone who's watching it is also bullied don't let them break you like they did me." She told them and then the video eneded

"That was before she hung herself, the thing is nobody noticed she was gone I had to tell her bullies." I told them

"Now Isabel is there anything you want to say?" I asked the girl who had tears in her eyes

"Sarah I'm so sorry for bullying you, I telling you this now because I don't want to do what Daniela did I don't want you gone no matter how many times I've said that I did I was lying." She told the girl she picked on

I was packing up my stuff when Sarah came up to me "Thank you." She told me and hugged me.

"You're welcome." I told her and she smiled
