Jingling Keys

The thought of your mother's blood spill reaching your beautiful white dress ruining it, the red soaking into the delicate threads of the material. You recalled standing there feeling disgusted as the ghoul, you didn't know their name, nor did you care if they did have a name. You didn't clearly understand why you stood there still alive. The only one alive at church. As bodies laid collapsed around you, the ghoul was a woman, with long purple hair, it curled nicely at the ends. Her pink lips covered in red blood. As she licked her fingers, as if she actually ate something sweet. While you were only able to taste bitter in your mouth. You didn't tremble as she turned to you. But looked at her curiously, not understanding her mind, of why she killed, of why she fed on the dead. She just gave you a smile and left and walked away, giving you a wave. You listened to her high heels click against the wooden floor. The sound of the door slamming echoing in the chapel.

"What the hell" you thought facing the ceiling, the ceiling fan swirling if you listen closely it sounded like a birds wings flapping. You didn't understand why you stood there, why you didn't cry, what the hell was wrong with you. The psychologist said there was nothing wrong with it. "Alexithymia" that's what they said that what you suffer from, although you have know idea what it meant. Or they could just be making up stuff for the money. You eventually stopped going to for therapy sessions realizing it was waste of time, and money. "You always smell like cinnamon" that's what he said, you didn't bother to question his statement but to listen, to get head around other things. You closed your eyes. "Wearing boots makes me feel like a badass" you could hear him smirk. You stood still, laying your palms on your legs as he touched your wet h/c hair, that hasn't dried from the previous shower. Then he caressed your puffy cheeks, loving his soft touch, although his hands were a bit rough. "Hide" You opened your eyes. "I feel like a kid again, and I kinda like it"? You questioned a bit. "Being a child is, was nice, and sweet, but those days are over. Were adults now." You gazed into his brown warm eyes. He just gave a pleasant smile, sliding his finger with yours tying together like shoelaces. You were not embarrassed to do this kind of actions with Hide, you two weren't dating, but... he always offered., to just cool down, and to just die down stress. But there were times when Hide would kiss you on the cheek, but you told him repeatdley that was taking things to far. Or he would wrap his arms around your waist, or would peck his at your neck. None of it felt right. You were never the person to try to fall in love, it was too complicated and difficult. You'd say it ruin things and put restraints on how much you could do in life. You weren't sure if Hide was in love with you, or was just flirting..."Do you like Kaneki" your thoughts stop, you could tell in Hide's voice he being serious. You laid beside him, resting your head on his shoulder. "Who knows" You answered, glimpsing at Hide twirling his fingers like he was nervous, which was unusual since he was outgoing person. "We need to stop doing this" "Why" he quickly asked. "The reason why, is because that stupid question you just asked" "About you liking Kaneki or not"? He wondered. "Yes, what else could I be talking about" you said briskly. "Okay, but for us to actually end sessions, you'll need to do me a favor and you can't back out of it." "Alright" you sighed, not understanding why you should agree. "Close your eyes, and try to be calm and collected. "Okay" before you knew you felt something warm tickle your lips leaving your eyes to be fluttered open. His finger smoothing around your neck trailing up your hair, pulling your messy trims back behind your ears. His thumbs resting on your cheeks. While his lips were soft like water, cold and smooth how much it slipped at your fingers out of your control, just attempting to hold it in your palms. Everything felt faint, taking this stupid candle like wish in, you didn't bother to refuse to his touch. You just tugged at the bed sheets, as he grew more rough with your tender lips. He quickly pulled back leaving you in awe, as you touched your lips as if something was wrong with them. "Hide" you whispered. He smiled that stupid smile. "Look I go to go, can't be late for ... work, you can stay here as long as you want, but if you do leave make sure to put the keys under the mat outside. He walked out shrugging on his jacket. "Idiot" you huffed.
