Chapter 1: Daily life
After some assistance from my classmates we pried Kokichi off me. He didn't want to let go on the grounds of, I'm warm and very cuddly. Well I'm a magic warrior who's main magic is fire so yeah I do produce more body heat than a normal human. But I don't think I'm very cuddly, I mean come on I can sense the weapons in the prop room! I decided to drop that for now. "So why are you guys here?" I asked taking off my mask. "Oh Gonta found a manhole in boiler room. Think it might be exit." The one named Gonta said. Ultimate Entomologist if I remember from the report card right. I took note of everyone in the room and named them as well as there talents based on what I saw in the report card. I nodded slowly. "Okay that sounds reasonable." I said. That's a lie it's a trap. I thought. "Hmm, that's not what you really think is it?" Kokichi asked giving me this weird grin. "I'll admit, you're good. I didn't expect to find another talented liar here." He said. I shrugged. "Believe what you want but keep in mind, even the word belief has a lie in it." I said. Everyone looked at me weird. "She's talking about how the word itself is spelled. Ironically it's spelled with the word lie in it." Kokichi translated. "Geez is he going to have to translate anytime I speak?" I asked in annoyance. I noticed how Shuichi was looking at me and Kokichi. It's almost like he can see something we can't. I shrugged it off. "Whatever I'm bored now. Do what you please but there are a few things I need to check." I said. And by that I mean go and get food, sit down in the AV room, and be lazy. I thought. I set my mask down and didn't bother changing. The outfit I was in was comfortable enough. I walked past them and exited my research lab. As I was walking to the dining hall I studied the map of the school. I wanted to make sure I knew where everything was. After getting some food I went to the AV room and just watched some anime. I didn't even get half way through when I felt a little sick. Monokuma showed up soon after. "Hey (Y/N), I know we aren't on best terms but I need you at the boiler room." He said. After saying that he left leaving no room for argument. "Geez what a pain." I growled my sudden sickness gone.
I hurried to the boiler room and assumed I was suppose to go down the open manhole since that's what Gonta said. I found the unconscious bodies of my classmates. I sighed, what a pain. At least no one was dead or bleeding. Just a few bruises and scrapes. Monokuma popped up and gave me a medkit. Once again leaving before I could protest. So this is what he needed me for. I tended to my classmates wounds. I was finishing up with Kokichi's when he woke up. "Wh-where am I?" He asked trying to sit up. I pushed him back down gently but firmly. "Stay down while I'm treating these wounds. And keep your voice down I want to draw on some of the others later." I growled. "Huh? (Y/N)? When did you get here?" He asked. "Monokuma brought me." I said. "I asked when not how." He said. A tick mark appeared on my forehead. "Listen smart a*s, I'm the one treating your wounds. I could be using alcohol right now but no. I'm using a blend of herbs so it won't sting but will get rid of any infection. I could switch to the alcohol if you prefer." I growled. He flinched a little. "Geez I was just pointing something out. Why are you so mean?" He asked tearing up. "Don't bother with the fake tears, I can see through them just as easily as your lies." I said wrapping up the last bruise on his arm. "There, free to move." I said standing up and grabbing a marker that was in my costume. While he was getting up I walked over to Miu and smirked. I wrote 'Potty Mouth Princess' on her forehead. I chuckled and backed away admiring my work. "Hmm, decent. I'll give you points for using a nickname." Kokichi said taking the marker from my hand. He started scribbling on her face. He backed away to reveal a bunch of little doodles. Including a few stars, hearts, and number signs on her cheeks. "Oldies but goodies." He said snickering. I snickered with him. "Nice, who next?" I asked. He looked around for a minute. "Let's get Kaede and Shuichi." He said. I smirked with wild eyes. "Oh have something perfect for those two." I said rubbing my hands together. He handed me the marker. I drew hearts on their cheeks. On Kaede's forehead I wrote 'I'm in love with the emo shut in.' with an arrow pointing to Shuichi. On Shuichi's forehead I wrote 'I'm in love with the optimistic social butterfly.' with an arrow pointing at Kaede. I made sure they were laying next to eachother then let Kokichi look. He had to cover his mouth. "Yeeeeesssss!" He said trying very hard to contain his laughter. We continued doodling and writing on our classmates faces until we ran out of people to use for canvasses. We decided to sit down and wait for everyone to wake up. We chatted for a while.
"Glad to know I wasn't the only one with a weird nickname." I said breathing a sigh of relief. "Wait you had a nickname? Now you've got to tell me!" He said. I looked away in shame. "People used to call me vampire." I said. "That doesn't sound like a nickname that sounds like something a bully would come up with." He said in a matter of factly tone. I smirked, "They had good reason to call me that though. I'm always lazy during the day and no one ever sees me outside during the day. But when night falls I'm always more active and people tend to see me doing my shopping at night. People also call me that because when it matters most my reflexes are sharp, my vision incredible, and I can always smell when someone's bleeding." I explained. I looked at him expecting a look of fear but what I saw was almost the complete opposite. Interest and excitement. "Wait so you can tell when someone is bleeding just by scent?" He questioned. I nodded. "Blood has a very sharp scent. It hits you like a bullet train. My senses have always been sharper that others so even the tiniest cut feels like it's assaulting my sense of smell. But yeah people called me vampire because of this most of all." I said a little bit of sadness in my voice.
Everyone slowly started to wake up. And everyone was p*ssed at us. After getting cleaned up they went back into this tunnel thing. And again, and again, and again. Over, and over, and over. Kaede was trying to get everyone to go in again. "Stop it." Came the faint but firm protest. I looked at the purple headed teen behind me. "You're free to keep trying on your own but don't force us to go with you. This is basically torture." Kokichi stated firmly. "T-torture?" Kaede stuttered. "You know what's real torture? Being denied the right to give up an impossible situation. You aren't inspiring us...You're basically strong-arming us!" He declared. Tenko protested. "Look around you. everyone feels the same way." He said gesturing to the others on the ground. I sighed and put an arm in front of Kokichi. I looked Kaede in the eye. "Kaede, he's right. Maybe if the others feel up to it you can try again tomorrow, but right now forcing them to go will end up killing someone. They are tired and weak right now. You have moral high ground so no matter what we'll look like bad people if we don't agree. Except for me because I don't give a s*it about what you think of me. We are all tired, we don't know when the last time we ate is, and we have no idea about the situation we're in. All this causes mental and physical stress and what you're doing is only feeding the fire. Please, for everyone's sake and yours just give it a rest." I protested. Some of the others nodded in agreement. "Well said." Kokichi praised. I shrugged, "I just said what was on my mind." I said.
After that the nighttime announcement played and we agreed to meet in the dining hall in the morning. When we walked outside it really was night. I stretched a little and yawned like when you first woke up. "Ahhh, moonlight feels so nice." I said. "You weren't kidding about the night thing." Kokichi said. I turned to him and smiled. "It's weird I now, but I really just prefer moonlight over sunlight, I'm kinda nocturnal." I said. Everyone else had retreated to the dorms except him and me. "Welp I'm going to explore out here for a while since I didn't get to during the daytime." I said walking off. But he followed me. "Why are you following me?" I asked pulling up the map on my Monopad. "I dunno, you seem interesting so I want to get to know you. So can you smell blood when it's still in the body?" He asked. "Yes, albeit faint I can still smell it." I responded. "Interesting. Question. How well can you read people?" He asked. "Pretty good. I mean I could tell Shuichi and Kaede are close from their stances alone. And I can tell that you weren't lying about being the Ultimate Supreme Leader from the way you carry yourself." I said.
"Hey (Y/N). Be honest. Have we met somewhere before?" He asked in a serious tone. "I dunno. You seemed familiar to me but I brushed it aside originally." I said. He sighed. "Dang I could've sworn you'd know something." He said. I shrugged. After a while of exploring I made my way back to my dorm. The room itself had a few curtains and was a pretty dark shade of (F/C). "It seems Monokuma knew my style ahead of time." I mumbled to myself. I sat at the desk and found a small book and pen. I pulled out my Monopad and started writing likes and dislikes as well as small side notes about my classmates personalities. After that was done I plopped down in the chair by the couch and switched on my TV. I eventually fell asleep during my marathon of Assassination Classroom.
The next morning I woke up to the morning announcement. I got changed (And for some reason all the clothes in the closet was the thing I had been wearing) and waited until I sensed no souls in the dorm then started making my way to the dining hall. Once there I stayed in a shadowy corner away from the windows. Like I said I don't like sunlight. Then the unexpected happened. A time limit. A F*CKING TIME LIMIT! We have about two days to kill someone or we get killed. I chuckled to myself drawing attention. "Heeheehee, don't mind me. Imma just go hide in my research lab until death comes to claim me. See ya later." I said with a fearful smile. "Wait are you scared?" Rantaro asked. "Maybe, maybe not. Who knows, I might be pretending so that a killer will think I'm an easy target. I honestly don't know. I confuse myself." I said walking out of the dining hall and away from them. My mind revolved around the time limit as well as the first blood perk. These conditions. Someones going to get killed. And it won't be me. A killer trys to come after me and they're going to be the first to find out I'm the Ultimate Magic Warrior. I went into my research lab and then to the back room. I practiced with a few weapons for a while then decided to be lazy and go watch Fairytail the Dragon Cry in the AV room.
