"Sirius, you'll glare a hole into his head."

An impatient huff. "Well, sorry for not liking the boy who broke my godson's heart!"

Draco shifted awkwardly at the long table where he was seated next to Harry.

Harry had asked if he could join the Order. Of course, everyone was skeptical and said he would not be part of any important operations but admitted that he would be useful to gather information.

"So, Father doesn't tell me much, since he practically disowned me," Malfoy said a little sadly. "But Aunt Bellatrix does. She sends letters detailing their plans and different base locations."

Tonks' eyes widened. "Really? Draco, this is incredible!"

"Wait," Sirius said, narrowing his eyes. "Isn't this a little sketchy? I mean, why would Bellatrix of all people give such detailed plans to Draco, who betrayed the organisation at the age of eleven?"

Harry opened his mouth to argue, but even he had to admit that Sirius had a point.

"Yeah, Draco, why is Bellatrix sending you top secret plans?" Moody asked interrogatively.

Malfoy opened his mouth, but then shut it again. He knew he was going to have to lie. The shame was honestly too much-

But then Harry took ahold of his hand under the table, to the surprise of both of them, and gripped it tight. He looked at Draco encouragingly.

Draco took a deep breath. "Well, I promised her I would give her Harry to have, uh, to have some fun with in exchange for the plans. I wanted to make double sure that I would have some dirt on them if they ever hurt my mother. Not that Bellatrix knew."

Although he paled, Harry didn't take his hand away. "Have fun with me?"

"Torture," Draco said through a whisper, engulfed in shame. Sirius looked at him in disgust.

"That's vile! You not only betrayed him but were planning to give him up so that bitch could torture him like a lab rat!"

"Sirius," Remus tugged on his arm gently, looking frightened. "Calm down. This kid's young. We all made mistakes at that age-"

"Remus, you're really going to defend a boy who was planning on getting your godson killed?" Sirius seethed. The whole table held their breath.

"Yes, I am! Because this is the same boy who helped him out of that hellhole in the first place. Don't you remember that, Siri?" Remus reminded him. Sirius rolled his eyes.

"That counts for nothing now," Sirius said. "He's lost all respect I had for him."

"Oh no, what a shame," came Draco's dry reply. Sirius' head snapped towards him. "Look, I understand I've done some shitty things, but don't act like evil is all there is to me. I care about your godson, and I want to make up for what I've done."

"You can never make it up-"

"I think that's for me to decide, Siri," Harry reminded him, quiet but stern.

Sirius fell silent, eyes trained on the table surface. He gripped Remus' hand to control the unshakable rage inside him. How could everyone trust this boy after what he had done?

"Moving on, I have the locations of some of their bases and their upcoming plans," Draco said. The members of the Order glanced at each other warily. "Look, they're planning to begin to infiltrate the government in two months' times. You can either sit here and doubt me or we can start taking measures to prevent this."

Draco looked to Harry for his support, and the brunet sighed.

"While I may not fully trust you, Draco, I know your heart is good," Harry said honestly. "If what you're saying is true, then we most definitely should start planning on how to take them down."

Harry looked around the table. Rightfully so, every single person sitting at the table looked suspicous, but also hopeful. As if they wanted to believe Draco was telling the truth.

"Look, it's been five years since the whole ordeal with my parents. It's about time the Order did something active in defeating the Death Eaters!" Harry said. Mad-Eye flinched, but didn't argue.

"We have been active," Hagrid said, flushing a little. "We've been recruiting, too-"

"Recruiting members for what, exactly?" Harry asked. Hagrid paused and furrowed his eyebrows. "Exactly! Come on, guys, this is it! This is our chance to avenge my parents and everyone else who died at the hands of these bastards!"

"Say we do take this kid's word for it," Sirius said, jerking his head towards Draco. "Who's to say he won't betray you again?"

"I know he won't," Harry said, squeezing the blond boy's hand. On the other side of the table, Dumbledore's eyes twinkled.

"I know he won't, too," the old man said cheerfully. "You won't let us down, will you, Draco?"

Malfoy, who had been tense during the whole meeting, relaxed under the History teacher's warm, trusting gaze. "No, sir."

"Well, I'd say it's settled then!" Dumbledore said happily, standing up.

Sirius looked like he wanted to argue, but was stopped when Remus put a firm hand on his arm, minutely shaking his head. "Just leave it, Sirius."

"Alright," said the middle-aged man, irritation prickling his skin.

He would let it go, just this once. For Remus

Draco and Harry promptly stood and began to make their leave when a ginger couple stopped them. Molly and Arthur Weasley.

"Hello, Harry dear," Molly said awkwardly. "We were wondering if you could tell Ron 'hi' from us."

"Can't you tell him that yourself?" Harry asked a little rudely. Surprised, Draco laughed. Aurthur Weasley glared.

"We would, but he's not too fond of us at the moment," Mrs Weasley said. "You wouldn't mind, would you?"

Harry wanted to say no. Honestly, he had no desire to say 'hi' to anyone from anybody! He wasn't a fucking messenger. But one look at the broken woman's eyes had his resolve crumbling.

"I'm sorr- ah, nevermind. Sure, I'll do it," Harry said, hating himself inwardly. Molly beamed.

"Wonderful, Harry! Thank you so much!" she said, delightful. "We'll see you later then!"

Harry watched them walk out of the room and resisted the urge to roll his eyes.
