🤣😂😂🤣Omgods so this kinda reminds me of one of my really good friends I met at the beginning of this year, my freshman year in high school.

So I'm in Social Studies and one of my really good friends Brighton behind me passes me a piece of paper, we talk that way sometimes when we're bored, and it says this word for word

"so I was doing a math problem last hour and it was u+y=12, can you check my work? I've come to the conclusion that y=2 because u are a perfect 10 😏"

So me being the dumb ass lesbian I am was totally confused and just assumed this was a corny pick-up line he wanted to use on a crush. We ended up having a small conversation on this piece of paper that went something like this

Me: omgods this is hilarious, I want a front-row seat when you use this

Brighton: I already did use it

Me: and you didn't tell me until NOW?!

Brighton: ...you were there...

Me: I think I would remember you getting turned down after using this corny pick-up line

Brighton: I don't know if she turned me down...and you did have a front-row seat

Me: No I didn't!!!

Brighton: ... you're the person I'm using the pick-up line on hades1000percent (lol ok that's not what he said I'm just using my user name in place of my real name)

Me: ...really? (before this we were giving each other looks and smiling now I just handed it back to him without looking completely awkward cause I was afraid I knew what he meant)

Brighton: i...think I might like you

Me: (after sayyyyyyy 5 fuckin minutes) im...im sorry I'm a little bit...lesbian...we can still be friends, right?

Brighton: (cause he's a kick-ass best friend donttellhimisaidthat) yeah of course we are

I am not joking this actually fuckin happened🤣🤣🤣I still cringe at it sometimes.

Anyway down to some serious stuff. I know pesonally how hard it can be to come out or telling people, even your best friends and family. Before this conversation my "coming out" moments were #1 over text and #2 my friend saying "so are you gay or bi or what" and i said "...Nico Di Angelo through and through" (for those not in the fandom its basically saying gay gay gayyyyy). But trust me when i say it gets better over time. And i know a few things that can help a few people

-What i used to do (and hell yeah still do) is i would read a lot of gay fanfiction with people coming out to see how they did it. I also just love reading gay fanfic anyway and i personally like writing it. Im starting another LGBTQ fanfic now, the first chapter will be posted hopefully today or tomorrow morning. So if you like reading or writing id recomend doing that. (and hey i do all LGBTQ fanfic so check me out if your looking for something *wink wink*)

-what i still do coming out to a few of my friends is i do it through a joke. Thats what i did with my lunch group, my friends Brighton and Pierce are in a battle of gay chicken. Which is basically their pretending to be 'husbands' because of a joke i made. Brighton made a joke and said i was Pierce was cheeting on him with me and laughing i said "nah im way to lesbian for that". Just saying that with friends if your a little joking you can do it through a joke or something.

-talking to someone also always helps. I have a few friends that i talk to freely about lesbian things and it definently helps me open up a lot more.
