Stockings were hanging up above the fireplace for Emmy and her parents , lights blinding her and reflecting of her face. Mariah was on the radio full blast the sky was bright and beautiful.
The neighbours were singing caroles  all the way into the night keeping Emmy up in a good way. She smiled to herself and said " Happy Christmas Grandad hope your doing well up there."  As she casually flipped through her phone to see her old photos of him and her until his death three years ago. "That was in year 8 , now I'm in year 11 wow a lot has changed."
The big day came she would wonder downstairs and open her gifts and give some  her mum and dad looked at each other as he said to her mum " Lj get the tickets"
"Here sweetie" gently spoke lj
It was 5 tickets to Spain in the Summer
"For you and your friends" 
Emmy cried in happiness and hugged them which she doesn't do a lot. She told them the news and they were so happy. That made them all so happy this brought a smile to them all.
Out of everything Emmy got , this was her favourite gift , she would smile about it for the next few days
They all began to research stuff about Spain so they understood everything. They all learned Spanish so they could easily translate all the  words back and forth. They all become fluent in it and by this time it was time to take down the Christmas stuff.
The  cactus green tree was took apart and stripped of its lights and decorations  it was naked as it was shoved back into the box and was to never been seen again for a year. 
Emmy went upstairs to find her old teddy bear she was given by her grandad and begin to cry but as she cried she heard something in it...
