/Levy is 10 in this chapter/

Levy's POV

I run through the woods and smile as I play with my friends. Our village lives next to a lake with a waterfall. Hidden behind the waterfall is what we are swore to protect. Only someone who is related to the people who sealed the item can access it. And that is my mother and I. I'm and only child and so was my mother. I smile as we run back to the village.

"Levy dear! Come inside for dinner," my mother calls.

"Alright mom," I say as I say goodbye to my friends and head back to my house.

I smile to my mom as I sit down and start to eat. My father soon joins us as we talk about our day as we eat.

"So what happen today," my mother ask my father.

"Ah nothing much. Though there have been corpse of dead animals around. We believe someone or something is taking them out," my father tells her.

I don't know what they are talking about and I keep eating. After I finish I head up and get ready for bed. They tuck me in and say goodnight as they close my door and turn the lights off. I close my eyes and drift off to sleep.

(TIME SKIP)

I wake up to hear the screaming of people and noises. I leap out of bed and then my father bang the door open.

"Daddy! What's happening," I ask him.

"Levy honey. You need to listen to daddy. Stay completely still. Daddy promise this spell won't hurt."

"What spell," I ask.

Before he can answer I head out front door bang open. I hear my mother and others interact and a fight breaks out. My father chants something as a spell circle appears under me. I start to glow as I look at myself. A flash of light brightens the room and then everything goes dark. I hear noises, a bit louder and I can smell a lot better. I shake my head and then I see the lights. I look around and my room seams a lot bigger. I look down to see me in a pile with my clothing. I look at my father and ask him what's going on, instead of speaking I meow! I'M A CAT! My father smiles as he look at me.

"You must flee Levy. I will be fine. Just run and don't let them get you!"

I look at my father. Tears come to my eyes as I nuzzle his face before turning and running. I get to the bottom of the stairs and run out of the door. I hear crashing from the kitchen, but I didn't have time to look. My feet hit the ground and I gasp at what the town I call home looks like. All of the houses are on fire. I hear screams and I see people killing the adults. I don't see any kids. I look towards the woods and run towards the woods. I hear shouts and I look back to see two men running after me. I keep running as I dodge trees, sticks, rocks, roots and other things. I trip over a tiny root and tumble down the hill. Once I reach the bottom of the hill and try and run, but a yelp in pain. I look at my paw to see a metal thing sticking out from it. I hear the rustling of the bushes and a boy with black spiky hair and red eyes come out. He looks at me and starts to walk over. I try and get away, but my paw hurts too much.

"Hey. It's alright. I'm not gonna hurt ya. Let's get that metal out of yer paw," he whispers softly.

I whimper as he walks over. He quickly yanks the metal out...and then eats it. He wraps my paw up in a cloth and smile at me.

"There ya go. Yer gonna hafta stay with me Little Blue. Don't know where yer from and it's not safe ta be injured in the woods all alone. And besides, ya can help me look for Metallicana! He's the Iron Dragon and he taught me his magic. That's how I could eat the metal. I'm Gajeel Redfox! The Iron Dragon-Slayer," he says as he smirks.

I smile and purr as he pets me. Maybe this won't be so bad. Though I would like to know how to turn back to my normal self....Gajeel place me on his shoulder and we head towards my village. We break into where it is and I hear him gasp at what he say. The men who raided my village is gone. He runs into a house, which happens to be mine. My hopes of my parents surviving drop as I see my mother dead in the kitchen.

"Hello?! Anyone here," Gajeel calls out.

I hear my father call out quietly and Gajeel runs to my room. I meow and hope down and he looks at us. He smiles as he notice me and look at Gajeel.

"Take good care of the kitten. My daughter, Levy saved her. It's good to know someone made it out of here alive..."

"Oí! Don't leave like that," Gajeel says as he tries to stop the bleeding.

"This village is dead...all but my daughter...hopefully she will be safe....listen...we have protected a great evil that is locked up in the cave...the only one who can break the spell is Levy.....she doesn't know this.....only the women can open it so please...find her and keep her safe," my father says.

"I-I will try my best," Gajeel says as my father smiles.

"Good," and with that, my father close his eyes and take his last breath.

Gajeel looks at him then stands up.

"Come one Little Blue. Let's get out of here," he says.

I leap up and I sit on his shoulder. He smiles softly and pets me as we leave the village and head off on an adventure.
