Gajeel and Pantherlily went on a mission as bodyguards. The pay was great, so that was their main reason for taking that job. "Ugh! I didn't get to smash ANY heads! That was boring as hell." Gajeel complained on his way back to the guild.

"It wasn't that bad. We practically got paid for doing absolutely nothing. Although, I won't lie, I was expecting at least a little bit of action." Lily stated.

"That's my point, damn it! What's the use of bodyguards if the body that were guarding doesn't need guarded at all!!" Gajeel said angrily. I'm going to fight the Salamander when we get back, just for kicks! I want at least a little bit of fun."

"That kind of fighting is what destroyed half of the guild." Lily said. Gajeel and Natsu fought a week ago and things got a little too heated. In short, the guild is under serious construction.

"Bah! Whatever, I'll just go on another job and pay off the damages with that like last time." Gajeel argued.

"It's not that simple Gajeel!" Lily stated loudly. "If the master sees this as a routine, he's not going to be too pleased."

"So we'll fight outside." Gajeel said.

"That would mean even more destruction." Lily argued.

"Damn it Lily, I'm fighting the Salamander when we get back, whether he likes it or not!" Gajeel snapped.

Lily kept quite. Refraining from angering Gajeel any further.

They walked into the guild. "Salamander! Let's go!" He yelled, his voice boomed through the guild.

Natsu turned and faced Gajeel. "You lookin to start somethin?!" He asked Gajeel, glaring at him.

"I'm pissed that I didn't get to bash any faces during my job so I thought yours would be enough." Gajeel said.

"If any face is gettin bashed, it'll be yours! I'm all fired up!" He said as they both ran outside on the beach behind the guild.

Lily hopped up onto a table where the other exceeds were. Wendy, Levy, Lucy, and Mirajane were sitting with them.

"Hey Lily." Levy said greeting him.

"Hello Levy, everyone." He said greeting Levy and everyone else at the table.

"That Gajeel, he's a piece of work, isn't he?" Levy said smiling.

"He's a character, alright. But he gets stuff done, whether he wants to or not." Lily said.

"That's true. I wish I could go on those types of jobs." Levy said.

"Don't be like that, you were nominated to be an S class wizard. You can go on a mission with us if you would like to." Lily replied.

"With you and... Gajeel?" Levy blushed slightly, barely noticeable. "You guys do the missions where you have to fight a lot. I'm not too good at fighting."

"Nonsense! You'll be fine as long as we stay as a team." Lily said.

Suddenly, Natsu ran inside the guild without a scratch. "Nyahahaha!!! I win Gajeel! You picked a bad time to fight me!" Natsu laughed.

Gajeel dragged himself into the guild, covered in burns and bruises. He came over and sat by Lily, grumbling something under his breath.

"Was it that bad?" Levy asked.

"Damn it." He said out loud. He leaned over the table to talk to Levy. "If I had some fights during my job then maybe I could land a hit on that nimble bastard!" He said, sitting back down.

"You'll get him next time." She said, not noticing her close encounter with Gajeel left her beat red.

Gajeel sighed. "Whatever you say, shrimp."

Lily cleared his throat. "So... Gajeel, it's only lunch time, want to go on another job? I invited Levy to come along with us." He stated.

"Fine, whatever." He grumbled. "Let the shrimp pick a job and we'll go." He continued, obviously still angry about getting his ass handed to him.

They both walked over to the job request board. "Gotta pick something Gajeel wouldn't mind going on, nothing too dangerous for me though." Levy thought to herself.

"You got one yet? Pick a good one and I'll buy lunch on the way back!" Gajeel said.

Levy picked one off of the board and showed it to Gajeel and Lily. "How's this one, you guys?" She asked.

Gajeel began reading. "I'm the toughest wizard in Magnolia, 50,000 jewel says I can knock you into the dirt.?! Damn shrimp!!" Gajeel paused.

"Shoot! Did I pick the wrong one? I thought he liked these fighting jobs!" She said to herself.

Gajeel patted Levy's head. "I should make you pick out jobs for me more often!" He said smiling at her.

"No objections?... Then let's get a move on!" Lily said.

There's my first chapter! Damn that was tough! I didn't think I would've came up with that this quickly though. I hope it's not too bad. Suggestions and advice would be GREATLY appreciated at this point XD I hope you enjoyed the chapter anyways. Next chapter will most likely take longer than this, so I'll get that out ASAP!
