NEW INFORMATION ABOUT MELODY TRYNISKI'S MURDER, FIFTEEN DAYS AFTER THE EVENT
September 21, 2018
Written by Ann Lee
LEVITTOWN, Utah. - On September five of this year, tragedy struck Levittown: the body of seventeen-year-old Melody Tryniski was found dead in her own room, surrounded by a pool of her own blood. Fifteen days ago, the town was kept in the dark while precise details of her death were kept secret among the officials leading this case. One of the rumors that circulated among peers and townspeople alike was that it might have been a suicide. However, due to the brutally beaten state of her body and the disorganized scene of the incident, officials leading the investigation were beginning to stray from the original theory.
Investigators want to be careful when it comes to these types of cases, in which murder is the prime theory. Perhaps this is due to the fact that, ten years ago, American serial killer W.S. went around town and killed twenty-five African American women in the span of two months. Detective Ellis, official leading this investigation, said, "When it comes to murder, we have to be prepared. We let it happen ten years ago, but we won't do it again. Whoever did this to Ms. Tryniski is going to be found. 2008 will not repeat itself."
A few days ago, Forensic evidence came to the possession of the detectives in charge of what is now considered The Tryniski Case. In it, there are details about the cause of death and proof of the possibility of murder. Based on this Forensic report, detectives have formulated their first reconstruction of what might've happened that night. In this special edition article of LEVITTOWN TODAY, we're going to provide all that relates to Melody's murder in extensive detail. These details are gruesome and not for the faint of heart.
Created scenario
The assailant came to the Tryniski residence between the hours of seven-oh-five and seven-thirty, presumably through the front door (which was intentionally left open by Ms. Tryniski herself, so that her friend could enter with ease). After the assailant entered, he made sure not to make much noise, probably hearing Ms. Tryniski's voice up in her room. By this time, she should have been talking on the phone with a nine-one-one operator, regarding what was about to happen to her.
The assailant then began to ascend the stairs, this time making noise to either inform her of his presence or scare her (this was presumed after hearing the nine-one-one recording of Ms. Tryniski's conversation). If it was because of the former, then it can be concluded that he was someone she knew.
Once the assailant was inside her room, completely visible to Ms. Tryniski, there was probably a physical altercation between the two for the phone. Since the call came to an abrupt stop, we can assume that he gained possession of it. Ms. Tryniski then tried to escape her assailant's violent grip by running to the other side of the room, where she was probably grabbed by the neck and hustled through the surface of her vanity, dropping all of her belongings to the floor. Her head then collided with the vanity's mirror, breaking it in the process and resulting in head trauma.
While being strangled, Ms. Tryniski scratched her assailant on an area around his torso, ripping away a piece of his cotton, black shirt. The assailant was careful to not let her touch his skin (there was no skin residue under her nails while her body was being tested by Forensics, only some broken nails from the struggle). After she struggled for some time, he let go of her neck. Ms. Tryniski must have been gasping for air by this point, so he took advantage of the situation by grabbing her by the shoulder and punching her on the stomach.
This blow to the stomach caused an involuntary abortion (Forensic results show that Ms. Tryniski was two months pregnant). The assailant either knew about her pregnancy or he didn't, we can't be sure. However, this explains the heavy amount of blood that was oozing from her vagina.
Ms. Tryniski was vulnerable after that. While bleeding through her vagina, in pain and probably clutching her stomach, he either bent her body on the bed or kept her standing as his arm surrounded her neck in a tight grip. He proceeded to rape her from behind and had time to put a condom on (there were no remains of semen in Ms. Tryniski). The possibility of rape became a certainty when Forensics found lacerations and trauma on the vagina and perineum.
To finalize this hypothetical scenario, we presume that he killed her by passing a carving knife through her neck; a cut that starts on the left side of her neck and ends on the right side, signaling that the assailant is right handed. The murder weapon was not found in Ms. Tryniski's room or in close premises to the house. Ms. Tryniski was left for dead, gaping and searching for air on the floor. She died a few minutes after the cut-throat injury.
When found, Ms. Tryniski had her beaten body in full display and her eyes open, suggesting that the assailant had no remorse for what he did. We can assume that it's a hate crime.
Flaws with this hypothetical scenario
The rape incident can't be explained without mentioning that the assailant was able to do multiple things at the same time. While he had a tight grip around her neck, he also held her hands behind her back (purple bruises were left on her wrists); simultaneously, he was able to put a condom on and rape her.
Forensic results demonstrate how impossible it was for the assailant to rape her from behind, as it's shown that this man was in front of her while committing the assault. In addition to these horrific and eerie facts, bruises left behind on her body and signs of struggle suggest a multiplicity of movements done in a short amount of time.
Officials in charge of the investigation hope to adjust this created scenario as close to what really happened as possible. They continue to wait for new information and discoveries.
Cause of death
The cause of death is a deep cut to the throat. Mechanisms of death in this case were blood loss and aspiration of blood following the cut-throat. There were multiple, parallel, superficial cuts found above and below the deep fatal wound, suggesting that the deceased attempted to get away.
Since Melody's best friend, Alexa King, found her body, investigators are trying to find any DNA other than hers. Ms. King will be formally interrogated again for her account of the events.
911 transcript
In LEVITTOWN TODAY'S previous article about the case, we wrote about a rumor concerning the existence of a nine-one-one call made by Melody herself. In mentioned transcript, there's evidence that Melody already knew what was going to happen. Today, we confirm this rumor to the community as true. It seems that Melody Tryniski reached out for help... or did she? Get the EXCLUSIVE here.

So this is part one of chapter fourteen. I tried to not divide the chapter, but it came out so long. I also tried to cut some things in order for it to meet a nice word count, but everything is crucial.
With that being said, expect its second part next week. It's IMPORTANT that you read this chapter - that only consists of a newspaper article - in order to understand the second part.
Phew, a lot of information is presented here. What do you think about Melody being pregnant? The created scenario? Her being raped? AND we're seeing the prologue here, finally included into Alexa's life!
Feel free to correct any grammatical errors, but be kind about it. Tell me what you think of this chapter.
