Chapter 3: Invasion of Cats
Levi's POV
"Where are you going?" Petra growled at me, scowling for answers. Her rough eyes were ready for the kill. Her hand was on her hips, sticking out like some entitled girl. Actually, she was entitled. "I thought we had plans today, Levi. Like, my future baby." She scoffs like some stereotypical mean girl in high school.
I sighed, not giving a damn about what she felt. Again, this marriage wasn't by choice. But Hanji was my choice. "I don't care that we had that engagement party last night, I still have work to do."
Lying didn't seem so easily as now. How they just fell out of my mouth with no remorse. I guess... that's the feeling of cheating, doing anything to be with someone who rather be with. "Ugh... hurry back then. I want to be a mother soon." She flips her hair and walks out of my business before I ran towards the door. Any second longer with her will drive me down this insane path.
"I don't think you'll even be a good mother..." I growled, quickly getting myself into the car and driving myself to my date. "Hell, I don't even want to think about what your child might be."

Discreet was probably the most difficult thing to do. In the modern world, there's so much things that can prove my secret life. I wasn't as popular as most people believe- despite being a duke. I guess there are other dukes that people care about. My name's not even on the front paper. I was... basically a nobody. Good.
Walking into that cafe, I immediately saw her. My heart pounded as I saw her curled up on the floor, surrounded by kittens. How they mewed at her, calling her like she was some mother. She just had that aura, a motherly aura. I took a seat down at a booth, just mesmerized by her form. My mind forgot everything, and I thought about her. Like a witch, she cast this spell onto me, and I was forever in her claws. A toy to a cat like her. She caught me in this web, and I was fallen prey to her. Damn... she was just that mesmerizing to the eyes.
Suddenly, she looks up and smiles ever-so gently. "Levi..."
A chuckle arose onto my face, displaying my joy that no one could ever give to me. "Missed me?"
She quickly scooped up this black cat with white spots on it, and she slowly made her way here. She sets the cat on the table and smiled gently, "Yeah... yeah I did..."
I smiled gently, raising my hand to her soft cheek- grazing it across. "You're so cute..." I say gently, and continuing to fall deeper into this spell of hers. "Sleep well, last night?"
"Well... if I was dreaming about you... yeah, I did." Her soft giggles echoed in my mind, and I loved it. "What about you?"
"Actually..." I chuckled, thinking about it. "I didn't dream of anything but your voice..." On her cheeks, she grew rosy bright. Even had her hand cover her mouth to hide her sweet, sweet smile. "Just happy I was able to come and see you..."
"T-That's... adorable of you..."
"You're better than the fiancee that's staying at home." I chuckled, looking down at the cat. I reached out, touching its soft fur and straying my fingers through it. "Anything... anything to be with you..."
Hanji chuckles softly, reaching for my hand. "Levi..."
"What?"
"Nothing..." She says with a smirk on her face. "It's just... nice to know you wouldn't bail on me. If you did, I think these cats would keep me company in the meantime. I was fearing that you wouldn't come, and I should've stayed home... glad that I didn't give in into my fear."
Without a second thought, I switched sides on the booth, sitting next to her. Gently, I pushed against her, kissing her strawberry lips. How sweet tasting they were... I craved for more, but I resisted it and pulled back. "I wouldn't leave you... I'm a man of my word- when it comes to you." I say, going back to my urges.
Hanji didn't resist. She allowed me to kiss her, and she only pulled me closer. My heart throbbed when I thought about what could come after next. "L-Levi..." She says gently, putting her finger on lips. "You're greedy... can't you wait until we're done with our date before moving onto that?"
I nodded my head, going back to the other side of the booth. "Y-Yeah, sorry..." My mind was so shaken up. My hands trembled when I realized my mind went onto the dark side. How dare she make me so weak...? When you get that feeling from someone you love, you know that they are somewhat the best for you. "W-What are you getting to drink?"
She chuckles softly, giggling a bit. "You're so nervous now... but anyways, I wanted a latte. You?"
"Black tea." Clearing my throat, it was almost like I cleared my mind of my strange outburst. "I'm not much of a drinker of anything sweet. Just the bitter things, that's all."
"Don't say that it's because that's how you view yourself. Because, I think you just want people to think that you're a cruel person, when you're really like a cat."
"A cat?"
"A cat." She repeats. "You want to know why?"
"Uh... whatever... fine. Tell me why."
She chuckles softly, looking down at the cat -and I totally didn't think that it ran off. "Well, your looks, for one. You look cold, stern, and have such high authority. I mean, you do, but not what I think and saw in you. You're a romantic- having a thing for making women fall down with just your looks. I bet I'm not the only one that fell for something like that. You act so... cruel, but really, you're just a loner looking for friends. Just like a cat." After saying that, she quickly runs her fingers through the cat's fur with a smile. "Well? How did I do?"
I nodded my head and smiled gently, "Now I've fallen more in love with you."

After getting our drinks, we decided to share a cake between us- a chocolate cake. And yes... cats. More and more cats. Hanji surrounded herself with them, giggling softly at their chaotic mess that they seemed to leave behind. But, I remembered about what she said about me as a cat. Perhaps I am just a chaotic mess, and I should've been one of those cats that was able to surround her.
