Chapter 69: Chill Day

Levi's POV

Hanji's family must've been descendants of fortune-tellers- or something like that. When Hanji got closer to her due date, it was revealed that she was pregnant... with twins. By the looks of it, both were girls. 3 girls. I would have 3 daughters.

Raven was the only one cheering after hearing that she was getting not one- but two sisters. While Hanji was sleeping, I decided to take some of the children with Erwin, Petra, and Kristopher to my house to prepare a nursery for the girls.

As Petra stayed back with Eren, Klaus, and Raven, I went to the store with Erwin and Kristopher. I should've brought Raven with me to help figure out what to do for the room to have as a surprise to her and our twin girls.

Once we started searching for the colors to paint the room, Erwin had to say something that I wasn't looking forward to.

"Two more daughters to add to your little family... how does that feel?"

"Rather you do not talk about it."

Kristopher points to a blue color, chuckling to himself. "I said something, didn't I? Twins were a thing. At least if you continue having pups with Hanji, you won't run into that problem again."

"Handling Raven's one thing. But two? My mom didn't have any twins on her side of the family."

"Then it's your dad. Has he said anything about twins?"

"I don't know him, Erwin," I growled, looking between the color Kristopher chose and a lighter color of blue. "Never knew him. My mom never mentioned him at all. And she's gone. It's not like I can ask her. And after she died, if he did care about me, he would've found me. It looks to me that he doesn't give a damn about my mom and me."

He raised his hands in defeat, sighing. "Fine, fine, fine. Anyways, we're looking for blue?"

"Considering Hanji didn't like pink when she was little, she doesn't want the girls to grow up with... pink is for girls. We painted Raven's as blue, but Hanji gave the paint to someone else as we painted Raven's room gray. Her favorite color."

We soon agreed on a light shade of blue. I know the kids are going to enjoy painting the walls, so we bought extra plastic tarps. And cleaning supplies. Those kids are going to be covered in paint and we need to clean that up before returning home to the hotel. As we left the hotel... I couldn't help but think about those two girls that were growing inside of Hanji... how the hell can two babies fit inside of her? I remember when Raven was born... she was small, but I understood that that's how big a baby is when they were born. But two...?

*   *   *

An hour into painting the room, the children were busy distracting themselves, flinging paint across the room. Even my scolding didn't get through to them. At one point, they were just rough-housing. I got a bit angry, telling them if they wanted to play more, they needed to either help finish painting or clean up the mess they made. They went with the easier option.

Before long, I saw them transform into wolves, roughhousing.

"Have you done that yet?" Kristopher chuckles, "Be a wolf and play with Raven, I mean."

"Still working on it." I scowled, shaking my head. "Not used to being a werewolf. Let alone getting used to the wolf. I was raised as a human, I will rather be human."

"You haven't tried to transform?"

"It's strange, unusual, all that... thing. Sorry." I say, turning to the kids, hearing them growl playfully and bark. Once the twins are born... I think I'll get the police called onto me for noise complaints... not something I'm looking forward to. "To me, it's weird."

"You'll get used to it."

"I am grateful for being one to save my life, but it's something I cannot trust. Hanji and Raven can trust it. I can't. I never grew up with it."

Kristopher sighed, "Okay then. I'm just saying you should keep practicing."

Erwin cleared his throat, thankfully changing the subject. "Any thoughts about hunting?"

"I'll continue doing so. Train some beginners. Mentor them. Hanji said that's a safer idea for both of us. Would a few werewolves want to join in?"

"Some. But you need to train them well."

"If they want to protect people and have the right mindset, I wouldn't need to train them too well." I glared at him a bit, "Must I work harder to train werewolves?"

"I'll see if we can get a class for you."

I hear something shatter before someone goes, "Uh oh..." The adults quickly run towards the noise, hoping to get there before I saw the damage they made. Maybe I'm not ready to have twin girls enter this house...
