Levi's POV

I took out my gun, scowling at the man again. "You kidnapped my girls?"

"To be fair, I didn't take them. It was the doctor. And how am I not surprised she decided to mate with you? Your daughter would've been perfect... too bad she was too old."

"Shut up. You're still going to pay. I've been through hell countless times already. I just want a good life for my girls. You're going to die today."

"Not without inflicting scars you won't ever forget." 

He growled as he turned into a wolf. My good arm was shaking a bit as I aimed my gun at him. I could move my hand out of its sling, but Hanji would kill me if I messed up my arm. I am a man of fear, but Hanji getting angry is a storm you shouldn't stop, nor should you get in its path of destruction. I rather not get her mad.

He pounces at me, and just instinctively blocked the bite with my cast. Dirk growled as his teeth chipped against it. When he let go, I saw splots of blood on my cast, as well as blood dripping from his mouth.

"Come at me," I growled, raising my gun and waiting for him to pounce again. This time, he was careful of the cast. I guess something bad can have its perks.

We fought for a while until someone pounced on my back. I felt the deep scratches dig deep into my back as I screamed in pain. I quickly threw the wolf off of me, shooting it dead in the heart. I went back to Dirk, trying to conserve my bullets. If I run out, he'll pounce. He circles me for a while before another wolf joined the fight.

He didn't attack me.

The wolf pounced onto Dirk, growling and baring its teeth, protecting me. "Levi!" I hear Hanji's voice from afar. I see her with bags under her eyes. She's safe... she's here... she's safe... everything changed when we both saw Erwin get tossed to the side. Dirk quickly ran towards Hanji.

"Get the hell away from her!" I shout, shooting at Dirk's hind legs, preventing him from pouncing. Hanji fell backward, but I still pursued Dirk. I dropped my gun to grab him from the leg, tugging him away.

As I turned him on his back, he scratched my chest, and I truly felt like I was about to die. The warm liquid dripped down my chest as I lost my strength. I could hardly breathe. Dirk shifted to his human form, smirking.

"Know that you failed-."

"Shut up," I hear Hanji clicking the gun that I dropped, "You should have never come after my family... you lose, Dirk." Those were the last words he heard before Hanji shot him in the heart. After he falls, Hanji drops the gun and rushes to me. "Levi... Levi, I knew you were coming back... you're hurt..."

"I'm fine," I groaned, smiling at her. "You safe? You and the little one?"

"Don't you dare talk to be like you're gonna die, Levi, understand? You're not dying- not on me." The tears began to fall down her face as she saw me. "Levi... do you want to be a werewolf...?" She asks the question, begging me to say yes.

"I thought you'll never ask..." 

She bared her teeth, completely different from her human and wolf fangs. This was different. She bit my neck in her favorite spot. After the bite, she kissed my lips. "Don't you dare die on me, Levi..."

I closed my eyes, exhausted from the pain and sleepless nights. Finally... I was able to rest.
