Hanji's POV

We were finally in Yallin the next morning, clean and ready. I already contacted the pack's leader, James, about our arrival. Levi pulled up to the small neighborhood where the pack lived. Without myself in wolf form, I could tell that Levi was tense and stressed. Maybe tonight we can have sex to help relieve some of his stress.

"Ah, Hanji," James welcomed me, completely ignoring Levi. "Welcome to our small neighborhood. Please, make yourself at home."

"Thank you," I smiled, jumping myself onto Levi's arm. "Come on, let's go, Levi."

"Have you been here before?"

I nodded my head, "Once or twice, but I was very young. It'll be nice to look around here. Just the two of us."

James turned around to see me clinging onto Levi, "Who is he?"

"He's my mate, Levi." I smiled, kissing Levi's cheek. "Come on, introduce yourself."

Levi sighed, nodding his head, "I'm Levi. I'm here to help with your werewolf problem." James looked back to Levi, raising an eyebrow. Does he think he's joking? "I heard you had a problem from Erwin-."

"I know who Erwin is, Levi. How old are you?"

You got to be kidding me! Levi's not some kid! Do people think he's a child?!

"26," Levi replies quickly. 

"You don't look like that... and there's something... different about you. You're a human, aren't you?" Levi nods his head. "Human... you're a hunter. Hanji, you brought a hunter here? And you claim that he's your mate?!"

"James, we can talk about this later-."

"No, we can do this now. If I'm going to have a hunter around my people, I need to know everything about him. It's a precaution. So, Levi, what are you doing here?"

Levi began to growl, looking up to the man. "I'm here to help, whether you like it or not. I would've let you go and let you guys deal with your werewolf problem on your own. But I'm doing this for Hanji- and the innocent people. I may be a hunter that kills werewolves, but I'm fair. If your people haven't done anything to harm innocent people, I won't bring them harm. Understand?"

James rolled his shoulders as I quickly take note that I have to talk to him later. "Fine. Serena, lead the hunter to where he needs to be. I need a quick talk with Hanji. Make sure your eyes do not leave him."

A woman nods her head, leading Levi somewhere. I could feel my heart skipping beats as I was slowly being distant from him. It hurts...

"A hunter as a mate, Hanji? I never thought you would ever mate with a hunter."

My shoulders shrugged as I thought about Levi... those happy memories I made so far with him. "Does it matter if he's a hunter? Would you feel better if he was a werewolf?"

"The fact he has killed our kind before... does that not make you feel awkward? Does it not make you quiver with anger when he confessed that he kills werewolves? How do you know he has never killed one of the good ones?"

"Then you never smelled his scent. With his scent, you can tell that he only killed the rogue ones. He has a good, kind heart. I know he has killed our kind before and will continue to do so. But it doesn't make me angry. The fact he's protecting both people and our type of werewolves is something that makes me happy. Grateful, even. Trust me with this one, James."

"You're asking me to trust a lot on a human. How long have you been mates with him?"

"A few days."

James raised his eyebrow, sighing. "Exactly. You're asking me to trust a human that you have been mates for a few days. That's telling me to trust a dragon that's been tamed for a few days."

"You see Levi as a dragon? Interesting..."

"Not the point, Hanji. What happens if he kills my pack members? Then what? What will you do?"

"If one of your pack members has tasted human blood and Levi finds them, I'll make sure he doesn't kill them. We'll detain them and bring them straight to you so you can get your answers. He's not the type of person to kill a werewolf without evidence."

James sighed, looking into my eyes. "I hope you're right about this, Hanji. But if he takes one step out of line, then I will execute him. In advance, I apologize for taking your mate away from you so soon."

"I'll make sure that he won't take one step out of line. But if you believe he did so, I want to talk to him first before you do anything reckless." I won't let anything bad happen to you, Levi... I swear.
