The Flowers
It was the perfect day for a stroll around the city. As you walked, you could only see monochrome images of buildings, trees, etc... It kind of made you sad, to be honest. Couples crossing the street, whispering to each other. It kind of made you envious. You're grandma always told you...
"When you meet the love of you're life, everything will become brighter." Well after 3 years of dating douchebags and gaslighters, you seemed to have given up on the said chance meeting. Going into a local diner, one that served (favorite drink), you could see the faint pink color of a flower come into view. Said flower was what looked like a group of lilacs inside of a bouquet of white roses on each table. As you went up to the counter to pay, the lilac became more of a dull reddish color. In fact, as you looked around, more color started to become in your vision. Is this what grandma was talking about?
Waiting in line for (f/d), you couldn't help but feel like you were being watched. Looking around, you couldn't really see anyone of specialty. That is until you laid eyes on a certain steel-eyed man. Your whole world suddenly became brighter and you found yourself forming a smile. The black-haired stranger's eyes mirrored yours but before you could approach the man, you were up. Grabbing (f/d), you slowly walk towards the male, realizing that he hasn't once taken his eyes off of you. As you walk towards him, the lilacs on the table became brighter, until it morphed into the brightest shade of red you have ever seen. (F/d) also starts to gain color as well. In act, as you look around more and more, everything seems brighter and more colorful than it ever has been. Finally, you lay your eyes on the man who made it all possible. He gestured for you to sit and you did so.
"Hi" You smiled. His cheeks dust a rosy pink as he tried to turn away. This didn't go unnoticed by you. "I'm (y/n). (y/n) (l/n). What's your name?" He calmed down a bit and looked at you.
"Levi. Levi Ackerman." He smirked. A small one, but judging by his body language, it looked like that would be the most reaction you would ever get from him. As you two continued to talk, you couldn't help but notice the way the flowers seemed to be getting brighter with each look he gave you.
"So this is it?" You looked up from your glass. "I guess my grandma was right. The flowers are brighter when you meet your soulmate." Levi looked taken aback but quickly composed himself, showing off a rare smile.
"I guess so..."
