You we kneeling on the cold hard ground, when you heard the door open. You heard the tapping of boots, as they got closer to your cell, but with your sight being impaired by the blindfold, you couldn't tell who it was.
"Tch, its time for your trial, monster." The man spat.
'I see, so this is it.' You think, as you felt yourself being unchained from the wall, only to be roughly pulled up, and have you hands once again chained behind your back.
You were pushed forward, causing you to stumble, but you regained your composure, as you carefully walked up the stairs.
You heard the echoing of footsteps, as you continued to walk blindly towards the courtroom.
After a while, you heard the creaking of heavy doors, before being forcefully pushed in. You walked a few feet, before you felt strong pressure on your shoulders, forcing you to your knees.
You heard the sound of something metal being placed behind your back.
'This is exactly like the time that me and Levi first met, minus the blindfold.' You thought, feeling a sense of nostalgia from the memory.
"Nice seeing you here again, (F/N)." An elderly voice said.
You let out a soft chuckle, as you said, "Yeah, I just wish it was under better circumstances."
You could feel the judge's burning gaze on your chained down form.
You finally heard him let out a sigh, it almost sounded a bit upset, but only minutely.
"Is it true, that you went willingly with a man named Deimos, who was said to be a major threat to humanity?" The elderly man asks.
"Willingly? No, I didn't. But, I still went with him nonetheless." You say, straightening yourself out the best you could in your position.
"I see, are you saying that your admitting to be a threat to humanity?" He asks.
You let out a shaky sigh, while you thought, 'This is for the best.'
You cleared your throat, for it felt as if you were being suffocated.
You opened your mouth, and said, "You yourself know the answer to that."
The man sighs, as he says, "Please, answer the question."
You swallowed thickly, as you say, "Yes sir, I am a threat."
You could hear the murmurs of the nobles, and the shouting of your friends in the survey corps.
'I'm sorry, everyone.' You think, as the judge's booming voice quiets the murmurs and shouts of the people in the courtroom.
"Are you sure, you want this decision?" The judge asks, pity in his voice.
You smiled softly, as you said, "Courage isn't a matter of being frightened, you know. It's being afraid and doing what you have to do anyway."
You could feel the judge's gaze soften a bit, as if he understands the decision you are about to make.
"I see, then, I hereby sentence the mutant (F/N) to death." With that, the sound of a hammer slamming against wood resounds in the dead silent courtroom, before the sound of a gun being pointed at you, is heard.
"Is there any last words you wish to speak?" The judge asks.
"Yes there is. I wish to say something to someone that I love in the survey corpse, if you don't mind." You ask.
"You may." The judge speaks.
___________Levi's POV_____________
I remain in my position in the stands, with my arms crossed, as I grip tightly onto my arm, to the point that it might bleed.
'Dammit, hurry up Nassir, Hanji.' I think, as I watch (F/N) slowly turn her head towards where we were, or at least, what she guessed where we were at.
But, she looks as if she was staring right at me, even though her blindfold is obscuring her vision.
She opens her mouth, and says, "When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do, you mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears, but be thankful that we had so many good memories. I have you my love, and you can only guess how much you've given me in happiness. I thank you for the love that you have shown, but now it is time I traveled on alone. So, grieve for me a while, if grieve you must. Then, let your grief be comforted by trust. That it is only for a while that we must part. So, treasure the memories within your heart. I won't be far away for life goes on, and, if you need me, call and I will come. Though, you can't see or touch me, I will be near, and if you listen with your heart, you'll hear all the love around you soft and clear, and then, when you come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and a 'Welcome home'."
I clench my teeth together, in order to prevent myself from yelling out.
I see the gun, once again, aim at her, as (F/N), once again, looks down, a soft, but pained smile on her lips.
I see the trigger, about to be pulled, I open my mouth, about to shout at them to at least wait, but that was when the sound of the wooden doors slam open.
_____________Your POV____________
You prepare yourself for the inevitable, but when you were sure that the trigger was about to be pulled, you heard the doors slam open.
"Big sis!" A series childish voices shouts.
Your eye widen behind the blindfold, as you realize only one certain pack of kids who would call you that.
"Hey, friend." A male voice says.
"Hello, kid." A group of voices say together.
"Hi, miss." Another voice says.
Your eyes begin to burn, when you realize who all these voices belong to.
That was when you felt the blindfold begin to be removed from your eyes.
Once it was fully off, you blink a few times, trying to get your eyes used to the light in the courtroom.
But, that was when you saw the sight before you.
Hanji and aniki, both smiling, as your jaw drops at the sight.
Every person that you've helped, was there.
The children from the market, the mod of angry citizens, the man that tried to commit suicide, and the man that you comforted when he had a mental breakdown.
"Everyone." You said, as tears began to brim your eyes.
"Why.....are you here?" You asked.
"To help you, of course, big sis!" The boy with the bear says, smiling widely.
"The kids right, you've helped all of us, and now, I think it's fair to return the helping hand." The man that tried to commit suicide said.
You tilted your head down, so that your bangs covered your (E/C) eyes, as you say, "Idiots. All of you."
They all smiled, as one member from the mob of citizens says, "Well, if we're idiots, then what does that make you? Your over there smiling like one, as you cry."
You lift your head up, reveiling the tears that steamed down your face, "I guess, that makes me a total dumbass."
Everyone laughed at this.
That was when someone clearing their throat was heard, everyone snapped their heads towards the judge, as he asks, "What is the meaning of this?"
That was when aniki and Hanji stepped up.
"We're here to prove that (F/N) is not a threat." Hanji says sternly.
The judge raises an eyebrow, and asks, "And what does all these people here have to do with proving that?"
"They have everything to do with it, just listen to their stories, and you'll be able to make your decision." Aniki says.
The judge seemed to be in deep thought for a moment, before he said, "Very well."
That was when everyone began to tell their own stories of how you helped them.
After the last person said their story, the courtroom was silent.
"I see. This does change the perspective of things." The judge mutters.
"But, the mutant still went with Deimos!" An MP member shouts.
"Against her will! Deimos injected her with something that caused her to follow his orders!" Aniki shouts.
The judge seemed to be debating something, before finally saying, "Very well, I hereby sentence that Miss (F/N) is not guilty of treason, and therefore is allowed to leave!" The judge shouts, as he slams the hammer, dismissing the case.
You let out a sigh of relief, as you were unchained.
Everyone from the Survey Corps jumped over the stand, and running towards you, before tackling you into a group hug.
Even Erwin gave you a pat on the shoulder.
However, at the corner of your eye, you saw Levi.
His raven hair was obscuring his steel colored eyes, as he walked out of the courtroom.
"Go ahead." You heard Eren say, causing you to turn around.
You saw everyone smile at you, reassuringly.
You looked towards aniki, and he turned his head to the side, avoiding your gaze, but after a while of you staring at him, he lets out a frustrated sigh.
"Fine, go ahead." He says, as he rubs his forehead.
"Thank you, everyone." You say, before turning around, and run out the door, in order to find Levi.
