It's been a few weeks, since you went to town with Levi, his squad, and aniki, and today was a big day.
The reason for that, is simple really.
Today is the 57th expedition, also known as your first ever expedition.
You, aniki, Levi, and the rest of his squad were sitting on top of horses, riding through the town.
You look to the left, and saw the group of boys that you met a few weeks ago, waving at you, and smiling happily.
You gave a small smile, as you waved.
"Are you sure about this?" Aniki asks, as he rides up next to you.
You nod your head, as you say, "Yeah, I want....I want to change things. I want to believe that anything can be changed. The moment I met you, a new world opened up for me. You see, after wandering in the darkness for so long, a light was finally brought to me, and its all thanks to you, and now, I want to give back that light."
Aniki just stares at you for a few moments, before clicking his tounge, as he mumbles, "Your too pure for this world."
You chuckle at this, but your expression soon turns serious as you and aniki near the gate.
"Be careful." Aniki says.
You smile, as you say, "I'll be fine, but I want you to promise me that you won't get yourself killed, or injured."
"Tch, as if some stupid titan can take me down." He says, but his expression softens a bit as he says the next sentence.
"But, I'll be sure to keep that promise."
After he said that, the gates opened, and you snapped your horse's reins, causing it to run forward.
Aniki rode beside you, as squad Levi rode in front of you.
Your eyes widen, as your mouth fell agape, once you saw the world outside of the walls.
"Amazing." You breathed, but you soon snapped out of it, and continued to ride behind the rest of squad Levi.
----------------Time Skip------------------
As you, aniki, Levi, and the rest of the squad rode through the dense woods of large trees, you heard thumping of loud footsteps behind you.
You turned, and saw a female looking titan, as it crashed through a tree, and began to chase after you, and the squad. The Female Titan killed a few people who were trying to stop it, but you kept your gaze forward, despite the cries, and the crunching of bone.
As you rode as fast as you could, you began to hear everyone begin to shout at Levi for orders.
But, he didn't say anything, and that was when Eren was about to bite his hand, but Levi managed to stop him, by saying that he should believe in the squad.
After a few more minutes of riding, Levi shouted out, "Cover your ears!"
Everyone did as instructed, as Levi fires off a flair, you soon heard the voice of the commander shout, "Fire!"
You looked behind you, and saw that anchors were being fired at the Female Titan, holding it in place.
You returned your gaze forward, as squad Levi slowed down to a stop.
"Everyone continue ahead on 3DMG." Levi instructed.
But, before aniki could do anything, you stopped him.
"Aniki." You called out, causing him to stop and turn around.
"I would like you to stay with Captain Levi." You suddenly say.
Aniki raises an eyebrow, as he asks, "Why?"
"You must trust me on this, that titan, I believe is not ordinary. I think it was after something, I'm not sure what, but it looked like it had an objective." You explained.
"But, that doesn't explain why I should stay." He hisses.
"Trust me, and stay here. If Captain Levi, or Commander Erwin asks about why, just say what I explained to you." You say seriously, causing aniki to become a little surprised by your tone of voice.
"You know, since you came to the survey corps, you changed a lot, then from that timid little girl I found in the orphanage." Aniki says, giving one of his rare smiles, before shooting off towards Levi.
"Yeah, but that's because I want to be strong for people who are important to me." You mumble to yourself, as you shoot off towards the rest of the squad.
As you launched yourself from tree to tree, you saw a cloaked figure coming towards Gunther.
'Levi?' You thought, but your eyes widen when you realized it wasn't him.
"Gunther, dodge!" You shout, causing Gunther to take immediate action.
He barely missed the blades that were aimed at him.
"(F/N), how did you know that wasn't Levi?" Gunther asked.
"Levi is 5ft 3in, that cloaked figure looks to be at least 5ft average." You explained.
"And you guessed this by only looking at him." Eld stated amazed.
"You mean her." You correct.
"What?" Eld asks.
"Males have wider shoulders, but the cloaked figure shoulders were too small to be male, even for her size." You once again explained, but before you could give any more information, a flash of lightning came from behind you.
"I knew it." You mutter under your breath as the Female Titan appeared.
"Gunther, Petra, and Auruo, go get aniki and Captain Levi!" You shout.
"But-" before anyone could protest, you shout, "Now's not the time, go!"
The seemed hesitant, but went anyway.
"Eld, Eren, we're going to have to buy enough time until they get here!" You shout over to them.
"But, can't you just use your powers!?" Eren asks hastily.
"I don't know, this is a titan shifter, like you Eren. That means there's another person inside, but I don't know if I can control them, if I do, I can only control the titan, not the actual person." You explained, as you, Eld, and Eren launched yourselves as fast as you could through the dense forest.
"What's the difference?" Eld asks.
"If I control the titan, the person could easily break free of my abilities, and because I don't have full control of the titan, because of the person inside, I can't quite use my abilities, but that doesn't mean I can't try." You say.
Before either of them could say anything, you interrupted them, by saying, "But, I need enough time to not only activate my abilities, but to concentrate enough to actually have control on the titan body." You say.
Eld and Eren stayed quiet, as they try to think up a plan.
Then an idea hit you.
"Eren, can you transform into a titan, and pin her down?" You ask.
"But-" before he could continue, you interrupted him.
"It's the only way to actually get her to stay still enough for me to use my abilities." You plead.
He still seemed hesitant.
You sighed as you said, "Eren, there are moments in your life that make you, and sets the course of who your going to be. Sometimes they're little, subtle moments. Sometimes they're big moments you never saw coming. No one asks their life to change, but it does. It's what you do afterwards that counts. That's when you find out who you are. Now tell me, Eren Yeager, who are you!" You shout the last part.
"I'm-" He begins, looking down so that his bangs cover his eyes.
"I'm a soldier of the scouting legion, Eren Yeager!" He shouts, as he snaps his gaze up.
He then turns around, and after he goes a few feet away from you and Eld, he bites his hand, turning into a titan, as he begins to fight the Female Titan.
"That was some pep talk." Eld chuckles.
"Yeah, well, sometimes the newbies have to make a big entrence, too." You say, as you go towards the two fighting titans, as Eld stays behind as backup, just in case something happens.
