<《2| Piper |2》>

Piper was pissed off, to say the least.

She was tired of her cabin. Her cabinmates. Camp. Her friends. Everything, really. And the constant bang on the door wasn't helping.

Bang.

She was tired of being the counsellor.

Tap.

She was tired of the Hermes cabin' S merciless pranking.

Bang.

She was tired of everyone looking at her in sympathy. She wasn't that bad, really.

Crash.

That perked her interest. She stood from her bed for what must have been the first time in months, and ran out the door. It was cold, and she was just wearing a CH-B shirt with blue jeans. But it wasn't that bad.

She looked round. What had caused that noise? She couldn't see anything from where she was standing. Maybe she should just take a few step for-

Then the ground opened up beneath her.

She shrieked in surprise, arms opened up to defend herself. She struggled for her sword, which is a hard thing to do when your falling at lightning speed down a narrow tube.

Then everything around her out up. Her sword went tumbling into the air, it's curved edge acting as a propeller and pushing it higher. She took a deep breath of air, then fell unto a rock-hard surface.

She gasped again, slowly sinking under. The water moved up her arms and legs, pushing her lower until she was completely submerged. She could see a soft golden glow in the distance, but it was getting darker by the second.

She forced herself forwards, kicking through the water and pushing ahead until she felt a cold metallic object cimebin contact with her palm. She wrapped her hand around it, pulling it closer to her. Then she put it back safely in her belt before pushing up for a breath of air.

She sunk back down, swimming in the vague direction of sunlight. It wasn't very long until she began to get tired. Her clothes were weighing her down. But she couldn't take them off. She wasn't exactly wearing anything underneath.

She stood up for a second, delighted to find her feet could touch the sand floor. Then she claimed her face and glared at the two laughing shapes before her.

"You idiots! Think that's funny!" She yelled, stomping forwards to slap them.

It took her a bit longer than it should have, as it's not exactly easy to stomp in water. But she was out before you know it, and her wet palm was pressing hard against a soft brown surface.

"Oww." Travis complained, rubbing the back of his head.

Conner turned to make a run for it, but didn't get far before she slapped him too.

"You absolute idiots!" She yelled again. Then she kicked him on the shins for good measure.

And that is how the Oracle of Delphi walked unto the beach to find two children of Hermes trying, and failing, to subdue a screeching daughter of Aphrodite.

"What is going on here?" Rach yelled, waving her arms and walking in between them. Her eyebrows were furrowed in confusion, but her lips twitches in the smile she knew would soon break through her annoyed façade.

"You!" Piper yelled, gesturing madly in their direction. "You are both 26. 26! And you're still pulling these stupid pra-"

"Well, actually, he's 27 and I'm 26." Conner corrected.

"Both of you, should just go take a dip in the ocean." She smirked, putting her arms on her hips.

The twins paused. They seemed to be considering something, before they turned round and began marching in the direction of the lake.

Rachel slapped a hand over he mouth. Even then, her muffled laughter could have been heard from a mile away. Her bright green eyes sparkled in the sunlight, fizzy red curls bouncing as her shoulder vibrated. Her cheeks were squished together, freckles more prominent than ever.

Finally, she managed to stop her hiccuping chuckles. "Chiron said to meet at the big house in and hour." She said.

Piper squinted at her. The saltwaterbin her eyes were really starting to sting. "How long has it been now?"

Rachel glanced at her wrist, only to see there wasnt a watch there. She mentally facepalmed, turning to her other hand. She slowly looked up, worry visible on her face. Piper seemed to get it, and they stared at each other for a few moments before simultaneously taking off into the forest.

"Travis and Conner, you can get out now!" Piper screamed without looking back.

They were so dead.

"Why does she get to have her own group!"

Chiron raised a hand up, effectively silencing the group. He let out an exasperated sigh, rubbing fingers at his temple. For the last ten minutes, they had been arguing about whether or not to let Piper lead a group on her own. A discussion which she, of course, did not have a say in.

"I just dont think she should go on her own." Chris said, falling back into the arm rest.

"But she's perfectly capable of doing it on her own!" Annabeth yelled, waving her arms in what could probably be ASL.

"You know what?" Piper yelled, standing up. All eyes were instantly on her, all further discussion paused. "I'll go with Nio, if it makes you feel better!"

Nio wasn't his name. It was actually Antonio Perallı. He was a 14 year-old son of Apgrodite that had shown up about 5 years ago. He couldn't charm speak, which wasnt very surprising, as it was very rare, but he had a strange talent for makeovers. With the right equipment, he could make you look like a completely different person.

He himself was a sight on his own. He had a caramel-like tan and light bronze tinted brown hair. But the most astonishing of all were his bright purple eyes. Children of Aphrodite were often spotted by their color changing eyes before they were claimed. But he didn't have those. His eyes were a solid purple. Shade changing purple, yes, but purple nonetheless.

His head shot up at the mention if his name eyes calculating and assessing the scene before him. For the first 2 weeks he had been here, they had thought he was a son of Athena. He definitely looked like one now eyes scanning the crowd for the source, before finally landing on Piper.

"I guess it wouldn't do any wrong. But the fact you kinda look like my mom." He smirked a little, crossing his arms and leaning into the comforter.

Piper cracked a smile. She shook her head slightly, sitting back down. If anybody could make her laugh, it was him. He had only been here for only 5 years, but he was already like a little brother to her.

"Okay then, its settled." Chiron stringed his fingers together, leaving forwards slightly in his wheelchair. "Now all we need is just a place to start."

Leo stood up. His nose was steaming slightly, either from excitement, nervousness, or both. He spread the blue print in his hand over the table. Then he looked up, and even Piper, from the other end of the room, could see the little flame that ignited at the side of his left ear.

"I might have an idea."

Ooh, whatcha think Leo's idea is?
