Mugino POV

I watched this poor kid break down in tears. "H-Hey what's wrong?" I asked as I slowly approached him, "She's dead, t-they murdered her!" (y/n) whaled, "Who are you talking about?" I asked, "M-Mother...I-I mean Ama. She was killed saving me from the scientists." he said sadly, "Do you have any other family?" I asked he nodded, "My real mother is still alive." he said, "Great who is she?" I asked, but he pointed at me. "W-What! No, I don't have kids! I'm only eighteen!" I said, "Wait there was that thing four years ago. I donated one of my eggs and my genetic map. But that was to learn more about my ability! Those bastards tricked me!" I said angrily, "Well that explains your ability." I said as I picked him up, "I'm sorry I was born, I'd understand if you killed me." he said, "Shut up. Whether I like it or not, you're my kid." I said, suddenly he hugged me and cried, "Stop crying, my son isn't gonna be a crybaby!" I said the stress of everything that happened to him tonight must've gotten to him cause he passed out in my arms.

The next morning I woke up to find (y/n) clinging to me, "What the hell are you doing?" I asked, suddenly he started crawling over me. I could tell that from the look in his eyes he broke. He had regressed to the mind of a baby, and I felt sorry for him. "So much trauma at such a young age. Don't worry, Mother's here now, and I'll make sure you're never alone or sad again." I said as I petted him.

"(Y/N) SIT STILL! GOD, YOU'RE SO ANNOYING!" I snapped, suddenly a sword appeared between me and (y/n), "What the!" I said as a woman kicked me. "I'll be taking (y/n) back now." the woman said, suddenly her sword flew at her, but she caught it, "Stay away from her." (y/n) said coldly his eyes dull and lifeless. "What's going on with you?" I asked as he tackled the woman out of the window, I jumped out after them planning to crash into an awning or three to slow our fall so we'd survive, sure I'd probably break an arm or leg, but (y/n) would be safe and that's all that I care about right now! "I'll kill you quickly, Yuna." he said as he extended his arms, "Final Flash!" He shouted as massive amounts of electrons fired in a nearly pure white beam, it was blinding to look at, but somehow it propelled us up a bit and slowed our fall. When we reached the ground we stood in a smoldering crater. I half expected to find a few charred corpses or at least Yuna's corpse, but there weren't any to be seen. Seconds later (y/n) was back to his infantile state. "You're a weird kid." I said as I picked him up. "Let's go get your shoes on so I can get to work." I said as we went inside, "Maybe we could stop somewhere and get a bite to eat? Not like I'm any good at cooking. No probably shouldn't, that window's gonna be expensive to replace." I sighed, "You're lucky I'm trying to be a good mom, or else I'd send you to an orphanage and make you their problem." I said.
